This place is breathtakingly beautiful. Great for kids, dogs, groups, and even if you want to wander off by yourself, it would be great!

There's a lake, bridge with a shallow river running under. There are a few paved trails to run on, and also unpaved trails that go into the trees more. If you have allergies like me, take Claritin or Zyrtec before you leave your house.... Then you should be good to go!

There is a nice kids playground with slides and swings and a few jungle gym type obstacles. It's also surrounded by a decent amount of grass so it's also a great place to play fetch with your pets and watch the kiddos at the same time. I also noticed an area with tables/benches that were covered and BBQ grills. So I guess you could have a birthday party or group gathering here.

If you have kids and want to go on the unpaved trails... I recommend bug repellent and bringing wipes, assortment of bandaids, bactine, neosporin, hand sanitizer and a small hand towel!

I didn't notice any bathrooms, so keep that in mind if you're bringing kids. And also I only saw 1 trash can in the area I explored. So if you have a pet, bring extra bags to hold animal droppings until you can find a trash can!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THIS PLACE OUT!

Little bridge and river. Leaving the trails and heading towards the parking lot

I loved the trials, there is a trail past the toll area (where you pay) that is narrow trails and kind of confusing to follow, but it was fun for me. Across the street from that area is where it's awesome. The trails are very well kept and even though it all looks the same you follow any trail long enough you'll find you way back to the start. Good time and I ended up running a 10k and was a great workout. Will visit again before I leave definitely!

I have driven past this place I don't know how many times. Finally decided to get together with some friends and walk it.

Plenty of parking. Many trails all leading to the same place. Shady. It is almost like taking a hike away from the city, but in the city. Not much of an incline so it is a pretty easy trail to walk. Seems like a lot of younger people visit this park to smoke together. There is a rock climbing area for people that are into that.

So...not a great trail, but definitely not a bad one. It is close to home and is a break from the normal walking areas that we go to.

Bresemann Forest Trail Park is a great forested park to get happily lost in. There are lots of trails in here and if you are by yourself here for the first time it could be potentially confusing to go back where you came in from. I love to go on long walks and play my Pokemon Go game as I do it. In times past this game kind of guided me out of parks that caused a little bit of confusion for me and the game helped fairly well this time as well but it is still a bit windy. If you don't play that game there are enough people tucked away back in there that could give you guidance as well I'm sure by simply asking.
There is a nice little creek in here with what I would call a head gate where water is going through. The water tumbles somewhat and I think the park calls this a waterfall but it isn't precisely one and isn't too dramatic but it's still fun to take a look at. The day I was here there were turtles out sunning themselves on a log which is always fun to see.
There are other interesting features in the park as well though it is mostly forested trails. There are two structures to the east side of the park near a school that looks like places where folks go to practice rock climbing. One is pretty tall and I would imagine would require some rock climbing equipment but another is pretty low and most able bodied people should be able to climb to the top of it.
This park is right by Spanaway Park though I'm not entirely sure if Bresemann Forest Park Trial is considered to be a part of Spanaway Park or a different park all together. Both areas are right beside each other yet on Yelp entries both areas have their own entry. I guess it's just specifics and I'm not too sure how important it is to the casual park stroller other than Bresemann Forest Trail Park is a fun outing and if you like to hit the area's parks this is one to put on your bucket list to stroll through!

nice, well worn, short trail through a scenic evergreen forest. 1/4 of the trail skirts a creek. Mostly level with gentle rolling terrain. You might run into 1 to 2 groups of dog walkers every lap, but it was mostly uncrowded on a weekend morning. Great for a 1 to 5 mile run, more than that might take too many laps and get boring.

I will just say that it's really easy to get lost in here....and that's a good thing.

You can cross one of the small bridges over the gently moving water that you can just about see the bottom of and enter the trail. The trail isn't too overly preened whereas you still feel like you're pretty much in a forest the whole time and feel free to take the off beaten trails and you may be confront with obstacles like logs and vines and all sorts of things. I really enjoyed this walk and how at the end of most turns you met up with the water of some sort.

There weren't an overabundance of bugs or anything but it may still be good to dress for the right weather as well as take the appropriate pest control. The trail also changes incline and decline several times which is also enjoyable so wear the right shoes. Bring water as well. I'm not sure if this is the best trail for smaller dogs but you can try your luck & dogs are resilient anyway. Bring the kids because the trail isn't terribly long, so I bet they'll have a good time. The trees provide excellent shade as well.

As always, take your time because you might just overlook some of the small gems hidden in this trail.

I LOVE this place. Lots of trails and huge climbing rocks. A beautiful waterfall if you can find it.
So many directions you can go and some our dead ends but so peacefull out there. Feels like a real forest. Barely any trash. The creek is for the most part very clean

My preschooler and I enjoy walking here, but theres almost always some homeless people hanging out by the creek.... Parking is plentiful on weekdays, but once baseball season begins, good luck finding anywhere to park. We avoid this area during that time of year.

We usually walk the trail, then end up playing at the playground in the center of the baseball fields for a while.

It's such a beautiful park. This is the first park we visited when we moved to Washington and we were in awe. The trees are so tall, dense, green, and pretty. The side paths near the bridges and so beautiful. And I love the smell of the air. Not an intense hike so it's nice for a constant visit. We even took our easter pictures here and they turned out lovely.
