Neighborhood Italian restaurant.
Solid food. Excellent service.
Bar and restaurant area.
Street parking.
I particularly like the eggplant. Children love the pasta.

Anywhere in pikesville that has a rooftop deck is a good place for me - oddly enough, Brendeli does AND there's a bar up there too. What more can you ask for, honestly?
Pair the above with wonderful staff, including the owner who personally attended to us, delicious food, and you literally have the perfect dining experience.
Menu has everything you could really ask for when visiting an Italian restaurant. Rolls to start the meal are amazing. Had trouble deciding between eggplant and chicken parmesan and they combined both into one dish. Paired with pasta topped with the most amazing red sauce. What service! Fiance got the chicken Diego and he was literally "mmmm-ing" after every bite, including the next morning when he finished his leftovers - it reheats that well y'all! Friend got the linguini with crab sauce and loved it as well. Plenty of lump crab meat in a red sauce with Old Bay - bringing Maryland vibes into my Italian roots.

We took our friends to Brendali and the timing was greatly improved. The restaurant had a nice vibe. It was quiet enough for us to have good conversations. The food, as usual, was super. Mattie, our server, took excellent care of us. We had fried calamari, chicken Francese, angel hair pasta with olive oil and garlic, and fettucine bianco. We enjoyed our Valentine dinner!

We arrived a little early for our reservation at 6:30 PM on a Saturday, and the restaurant was packed. We knew something was up when we found the rear parking lots full. Note to diners - make a reservation if you want to experience some really good Italian fare. The restaurant did not expect to be inundated with customers that night, so there were delays in getting drink orders, etc. We can all appreciate that restaurants have to go thru a learning curve and growing pains when they first open. This restaurant can only improve with time.
Even with the slow service, we extend our thanks and congratulations to Pedro for creating such classic Italian food. We were all so pleased with our dinners. There were 7 in our party and we enjoyed the following: Chicken Francese, Veal Francese, Sausage Cacciatore, Chicken Cacciatore, Cappellini Mercedes, Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Diego. Each dish was freshly prepared and was generous in size. The prices for food and drink are very reasonable.

We have been regular customers at Brendali's in Federal Hill for many years. We are so excited for your new adventure. We were thrilled to come to dine in your new restaurant. The restaurant is just stunning - the décor and ambience you have created is just perfect. The main dining room is large and inviting with its tables and banquette seating. The Private Dining area is perfect for large party dining, events, celebrations and/or business meetings. The bar and bar area is just the right size and the high top tables are a nice touch. It was very cold outside, so we did not go up to see the rooftop area with seating and a bar.
Mattie and Stephanie took excellent care of us. Pedro (chef & owner) and his wife, Brendali, came out to welcome us. The menu is extensive. But, we are creatures of habit, we went with our favorites. My husband had the Chicken Francese (chicken sautéed in a light lemon butter white wine sauce over linguini). I savored my Chicken Cacciatore - sautéed chicken with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms comes topped with marinara sauce over linguini. Everything is prepared fresh and to order. They can accommodate any request that you might have. They have a full bar and offer a Happy Hour every day. The food and drink prices are very reasonable. They also do catering. They have two free parking lots behind the restaurant.

Do you remember where Mara Luna Latin grill was on Reisterstown road? Then you probably remember ot closed, and another restaurant went in and failed. I don't know why several restaurants couldn't make it in this location, given that there is a decen sized parking lot in the back, and a shared one a half a block away. All you need to add is a restaurant that serves good food at decent prices.
Enter Brendali. They have a Federal Hill location that is popular, but for those that dont want go downtown to eat, Brendali 2 is the answer.
The space is nicely decorated, the drink menu wine list, and food menu have interesting choices. Two of us had the server recommended minestrone soup, and enjoyed it. I had a crab linguini that was generously sprinkled with lump crab meat. The others jad salads, shrimp scampi, and pasta dishes. Recommend by another hotel guest. She couldn't quit talking about how great this place is, so I had to try it. Not dissapointed in the least! The waiter told me everything was made in-house. I had the shrimp fradiavoli. What a treat! Best sauce I think I have ever had, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the shrimp was a great size. For desert, Tres Leches cake

They say they are an Italian restaurant. If defrosted seafood with a crappy aftertaste is your idea of good food. It is perfect. If paying your bill and asking the server to let the chef know he needs to rinse off the seafood of what taste like soap. Get the owner to act like a complete twitt. Well it is your kind of place. I had to laugh. Being so stupid she (Brenda) decided to get loud rather then having a private conversation. Won't be back. Definitely only recommend sending people you don't like there.

I had a hard time trying to come up with a balanced, fair review of this new offering in Pikesville. In a decent restaurant-starved area, I would like Brendali to succeed.
I know that the staff and the kitchen are both going through a shakedown that any new restaurant location must endure. However, how do you explain such an uneven performance?
Our food selections were very good. My Veal dish was excellent with the quality of the preparation of the veal and sauce a real standout. But how can you explain the poor preparation of our waiter? He lacked even a basic knowledge of the menu, and he was way late on follow-up. This points to a management problem. Bad wait staff will kill your new restaurant.
If the management can do a little more training with the staff, then, Brendali is off to a great start.
Note: Don't look for ambiance here. Brendali is very loud, and, the guests circulate through the restaurant like it's their local clubhouse.

This place has such a nice atmosphere and kind staff. The barbecue chicken pizza and Margherita pizza were very tasty and our waitress/bartender made great mimosas. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area!
