I've been a patient of Dr. Hampton's for 7 years. When she moved her office to Garland, I had to follow because she is the best! She listens patiently to all my concerns with empathy, and she has treated all my illnesses well. I trust her because she has also gone through some of the same things! When I speak to Dr. Hampton, I feel as though I am talking with a friend. A professional and caring GP.

Dr. Brenda Hampton is by far my favorite doctor I have ever had. She not only makes you feel comfortable, relaxed, at ease but is very professional and knows what she is talking about. My sisters, mother, and my father go for our regular check ups as well. I see her for my regular checks up and physicals, blood work, and female yearly checkups. Her staff is quick and efficient and very friendly and funny!

Cynthia at the front is such a fun sweet person to be greated by as soon as you walk in.

Rachel & one more medical assistant (I can't remember her name) are AMAZINGLY SWEET AND FUN. They are very quick at taking blood and virtually painless.

Overall, I really do enjoy going and just catching up with all the ladies and laughing. Such a great medical office for anyone and they accept a bunch of different insurance policies.

Dr. B Hampton, you are an angel! :-)

My whole family has gone to Dr. Hampton for many years. We rarely have to wait long, but if we do, know that she spends a lot of time with her patients and will do the same for you. She is very pleasant and easy to talk to. Dr. Hampton comes highly recommended!

My wife has been under her care for two years no improvement. Her staff is nice for the exception of one NA ...Rachel. She is the rudest, unprofessional and apparently she runs the whole operation and you can not provide feedback about her rudeness and unprofessional treatment of patience...or clients as my wife has been treated with a letter informing us she no longer is my wifes physician. no even a phone calll by Dr Hampton. after all the money for meds and visits, this is her bedside manner. I would hope she is unaware this happening because to run your clinic like a fast food chain isnt going to work for us either. you have been warned dont provide staff feedback even when they wont show you your own charts or lab results. never been so disrespected.

My family and I have been seeing Dr Hampton for over 12 years. She is hands down the best family doctor I have seen. She is friendly easy to talk to, non-judgemental, and genuinely wants to do what she can to help you. I highly recommend her.

This is the worst patient experience I have ever had. I don't leave many reviews, but when I do, I try to leave emotions out and list only facts. So, here goes.

At one of my appointments, I was left to wait in an exam room for 62 minutes with no update, offer of water, nothing. At one point, I used the restroom and even though the staff saw me and made eye contact, they offered no update. When the doctor came in, she made light of the situation and she seemed surprised when I complained. Your time will not be valued at this office.

Another time, I received a diagnosis over the phone and it did not go well. The office staff does not ask if you have a moment or need a second to get to somewhere private. They confirm it's you and just start talking. So, I received my diagnosis while trying to walk across my office to get to a private room to discuss. I had to have her repeat the diagnosis once I was in the room and she couldn't pronounce part of it. She gave up after the third attempt and spelled it. The word was "arthoropathy".

I feel that if you are going to give someone a diagnosis over the phone, you should offer some basic, common courtesies - allow the person time to get to somewhere they can discuss medial issues and be able to pronounce the diagnosis you are giving. Pretty basic stuff.

At one point, I needed an MRI and the office staff were unable to explain to me the next steps. It took multiple calls and messages before Dr. Hampton responded with an explanation via the portal - I needed 6 weeks of treatment before it would be re-submitted for approval. At no point did the multiple office staff I spoke to offer this explanation in this way. Their explanations were short, rude and lacked this particular detail. They made no sense. It turns out, they were not explaining it correctly.

Dr. Hampton prescribed me a medication without ever discussing it with me as well. I called and asked what it was and they advised it was a nerve medication that was not an opiate. After I did my own research and felt comfortable taking it. I realized it helped quite a bit. Like most people, I would have preferred to have an informed discussion with my doctor before being prescribed any medication, but it did indeed help. I tried to take it only as needed and will run out next week. I called to refill my prescription for this and blood pressure medication (the original reason for me seeing her was to move over from the cardiologist that I didn't need to keep seeing) and was told that I need to wait for an appointment. I tried to make one ASAP, but the doctor is going on vacation and I am out of luck. First possible appointment is 8/2/2018, so three weeks from now. I repeatedly asked Rachel for a medical explanation for refusing to refill and she couldn't give one. She kept repeating that she had to go and I needed to wait for my appointment. No explanation given. Just, you have to wait. But she did put me on the cancellation list, so that was super helpful. (Narrator: it was not helpful.)

You will never speak to Dr. Hampton on the phone - she is guarded by her staff and portal. You will ALWAYS be told to make an appointment, even for simple questions. And just fyi, I was able to refill my blood pressure medication through my Teladoc service - a doctor who has never met me made a medical judgment call on my behalf based on just my medical record and my feedback, for my benefit. Something my PCP was not willing to. And I was able to find a new doctor within a half hour of the "conversation" about my meds. They have already filled both prescriptions.

Last thing - it turns out none of these issues are new. I failed to do my due diligence researching this doctor because there are several online reviews describing the same issues with the same people from as far back as 2015/2016. I suspect there is no plan for improvement.

      This office is a disaster.

This extremely nice lady who makes everyone feel important is also extremely accommodating, thorough, progressive and compassionate. What more can one want from a GP?

I've been seeing Dr. Hampton for about three years and couldn't be happier with her bedside manner. She is funny, nice, to-the-point and listens to your concerns before setting out a clear action plan for your health. I don't find the wait to see her be more than 10-15 mins on average. Now that she moved offices, it seems she has a new staff, and everyone I've encountered has been nothing but helpful and kind. Even my husband, who generally hates going to any kind of doctor, loves Dr. Hampton!
