1st time here.
Atmosphere is very pleasant
A hole in the wall kinda place.
Staff extremely nice and pleasant.

I got the rib tips and Mac and cheese.

Tips were excellent and great serving.
The Mac and cheese is great and you can taste a special ingredient.  Not sure what it is, but one of the Mac and cheese dishes I ever had.

I will be back

The staff is very friendly
The food is pretty good but could use a little tweaking here and there
The Kool-Aid  is ridiculously sweet and delicious

Secret little gem. Bbq and the baked beans were delicious! Lots of good food for a great price.

Loved the atmosphere, this would be great to come to for summer and hangout to eat good food. Felt like I was at a backyard kick it spot with delicious bbq.

Delicious BBQ and chill vibe. Ordered the sampler plate with ribs, tri tip and brisket. You could see the smoke ring on the brisket and all of the meat was tender and so tasty! My favorite was the ribs. We got the Mac and cheese and collard greens as sides and enjoyed both. Also had the corn bread, which was great.

You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. They have a decent outdoor patio with tents that is dog friendly. They had one tv outside and had basketball on and playing music, which made it a super cool atmosphere. I'm not sure if this was a special day, but we were offered beers on the house while we were sitting on the patio. The workers were super friendly. My husband's exact words were "this place is a hidden gem."  We'll certainly be back.

Note, their hours are open until they run out of food! We tried to go previously at 6pm on a Saturday and they were sold out! So try to go early. We went around 3:30pm on Saturday and had all of the options.

I'd been craving BBQ for a couple of weeks, rib tips specifically, I remembered seeing Bowlegged BBQ on my way home one day and decided to look them up. I look em up on Yelp and majority of the reviews were praising how good the rib tips were here, jackpot! That's all I needed to hear. I placed an order online through Yelp and waited for the pick-up window to arrive before leaving my house.

I wasn't paying attention when I initially arrived and missed the available parking right out front. After circling the block I found parking within 20 steps to the front of the establishment. Upon walking in I was greeted by the lovely hostess and the smell of some great BBQ. I let the hostess know I was here to pick up and my order was already waiting on the counter for me.

Once I got home I opened my order and was ready to dig in. I ordered the rib tips plate with a side of greens, a medium dirty rice, and some extra BBQ sauce. Boy oh boy was I not ready for how tender, and flavor these rib tips were, Smokey, tender, and melted in your mouth. Additionally, I appreciated the care they took to line the styrofoam container compartment with wax paper so the ribs tips wouldn't burn through and all the sauce remained on the ribs.

Now to the dirty rice....I cannot understand how the rice was the perfect level of spicy, yet filled with so much flavor, such that the spice was a nice addition to the flavor. My husband and I said the rice was one level before too spicy, which is exactly how we like our food. I was sad I didn't go with the large rice because I wanted more. The greens were very tender and flavorful, my daughter ended up eating nearly all of them off my plate. Another small detail that made a huge difference is the fact that the BBQ sauce was warm! The warm sauce, was tangy, savoy, and the slightest pinch of spice. Plus, my food was the perfect temp when I got home and I didn't have to reheat a single item, huge win!

I apologize for the length of this review but I have to give Bowlegged BBQ their flowers because it was too amazing. My husband and I will be back, we ordered small the first time playing it safe but man did we have to fight the urge to go back the same day for more. Do yourself a favor and order whatever your heart tells you because you will eat it all and it will be amazing.

This is my go to spot for some Texas style BBQ. They never disappoint every time I order from them.

My usual order is a Sampler plate, you can pick 3 meats and 2 sides.
This time we got two orders of the sampler plate. One sampler we got Ribs, Rib Tips and Brisket, with dirty rice and mac and cheese for the sides. All the meats were delicious but my favorite has to be the Rib Tips. I don't know where else you can get Rib Tips this good. Their always tender and juicy, never dry. Their homemade BBQ is different and its good different, not like any BBQ sauce I've ever had. My partners favorite was the brisket. The brisket had such a great smoked flavor and was tender as well. The other sampler was Ribs, Rib tip and Sausage with potato salad and greens. My favorite side has to be the greens, sooo good.

You must try this place for Texas Style BBQ!

Pro Tip: If you like your brisket with some fat, you can ask for fatty brisket. It's a game changer.

This spot is a VIBE. I love it. The inside is stacked with records and cultural antiques that just make you feel like you walked into your grandmas living room or basement full of gold lol.

It's small at the entrance and counter hut then you realize while you're waiting on your food that they have a whole outdoor patio to sit and enjoy the music and food. Again, a vibe! I encourage you to sit and eat there at least once when you get the chance.

But seriously, their rib tips are perfect everytime I order them. That and the greens always got the spot. I know you want mac n cheese, but at least wash it down with some greens juice, okay?? Mac is probably some of the better Mac you can get from a restaurant, and the candied yams are are flavorful. Good spot for some good food!

Amazing food, huge portions, and a friendly, welcoming staff that makes you feel like family!  This is going to be my new go to place for lunch, can't wait to go back!

The customer service is good, the smell and the atmosphere fit authentic BBQ. Everything else was a huge disappointment. The BBQ is average, but the price point is well above average. Inflation was only 10%, but prices here are up 150%! B.c of this, I have to rate them at the higher price category.

If the price is higher, then the food has to match that price. $17 for a single sandwich with nothing additional - For example compare that to in-and-out. In-n-out also had inflation, but I can still buy 4 burgers for the price of 1 sandwich here. Their food is not 4 x more delicious NOR is it 4x the size. Not even the quality is 4x better. The bread was the cheap stuff any of us can get for a couple bucks. In-n-out puts more effort into their food and still gives a realistic price with a 10% inflation. This is obviously price gouging. These guys are greedy. Save your money like I saved my friends from wasting money here. Enjoy your money elsewhere. You are not missing out.
