Boogie N Pals Dog Walking & Pet Sitting

A neighbor in our building recommended Boogie N Pals, and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the service. We lived in an apartment building and opted for the 20-minute walks for our two dogs. The dogs always came back happy, and we appreciated the updates of the walks being sent directly to our phones. The owners were super attentive, answered all of our questions, and made a point to get to know our dogs before their first walk. Steve and his wife, Wendy are the kindest people around here. So calm and kind. Their presence makes me feel good and less stressed.

Steve helped my older dog with blindness and partial hearing impairment so much adjusting to this new home. We were forced to move out all of a sudden last month because our landlady wanted to sell our apt. We quickly found a beautiful home. However, a nightmare started once we moved there. There was zero soundproof and we couldn't sleep at night. Our dog didn't seem to care the noise but we had to move our bed from 2nd fl to the basement to avoid the noise coming from our neighbors living on the 2nd and 3rd floors. We are the only tenants on the basement and 1st fl. The issue here was that our dog couldn't stay in the basement. I helped him to settle on the 2nd fl at first because that's where he was going sleep with us. He had a little difficulty but he pretty quickly adjusted there. But two weeks after our move, we brought our bed down to the basement, and when we brought him down to the basement, he got extremely anxious. He was pacing, whining, barking and drinking too much water. He ended up peeing in the house which almost never happened before. He once peeped at home when we had to give him too much heavy duty meds due to the ulcer in his eye.

We tried everything almost everyday to help him settle on the basement but he couldn't settle. We had to leave him on the 2nd fl.when we were sleeping because that was where he felt most comfortable. I think staying in the basement was too much for him because it was like he had to move again after the big move? But almost every night, he would cry in the middle of night because he was alone?

I tried different kinds of meds and talked to a dog behaviorist but none of them solved this issue. The dog behaviorist i talked on the phone who hadn't met my dog thought my dog had a Sundowner syndrom which broke my heart. I was losing a hope and finally Steve came. The advice he gave me rescued us and our dog. The below is my email to Steve.


I want to share with u that our dog is doing so much better in the basement. The first day was incredibly difficult because he was non stop barking and whimpering. Even giving him 10 times more CBD oil than the suggested dosage only knocked him out for an hour and he would wake up.and start barking and whimpering.


However, i stuck with ur rule. I didn't bring him up to the 2nd fl where he felt most comfortable. I endured his barking and whimpering and kept giving him the cannabis salve and CBD oil.


Now he whines a little here and there in the basement but not a lot..He also sleeps through the night which is a miracle to me. I also followed ur suggestion of giving him CBD oil for day times too. And now he is walking even much better..Maybe after he became blind, he started having anxiety issue while walking which makes sense?

I'm so glad I found Boogie N Pals to take care of my baby 7lbs yorkie when I could not bring him along with me to visit family members who just doesn't prefer dog in their home due to their religion. I was pretty upset and nervous especially two weeks before boarding him to Boogie N Pals, we were both attack by a big neighbor dog next door, leaving my baby injured with several stitches and myself with a broke rib. Physically and mentally damaged I almost did not go through with boarding him, since this was his second time ever since last year we board him on a vet hospital that didn't went too well. I looked on Yelp for days before I decided that Boogie N Pals was the right choice and it would be better for my baby to be taken care under a family instead of a busy vet hospital where he would be sitting in a cage unless he's being taken out for bathroom break, in which in my experience, my baby never look relaxed or happy in any of the pictures they sent me. Upon searching, I found many happy pets pictures and this happy, loving couples with their love for pets I didn't hesitate to reach for them and I'm happy to say, I'm fully at ease by the end of the night by 8PM after I dropped him off at noon the same day, and many following days after I was at ease and relax enough that I could focus having fun with family members I haven't seen for awhile, I even didn't feel the need to text them to check on him, because Boogie N Pals would be texting me pictures of my baby relax, happy, playing, sleeping and almost not a care in the world. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first since my baby was just attacked by another dog to leave him with Boogie N Pals care with their two house dogs, but upon meeting with them, they are the most sweetest little things, and they became good friends when I came back. Boogie N Pals really care and love dogs, I know people who does when I meet one because I am an animal lovers myself. Wendy dedicate her life work for animals, and I admired that so much about her. She genuinely loved my baby by the end of the day when Wendy and my baby had to say goodbye. I have never seen a dog sitter kisses goodbye to my baby, since most people who spent years working in the field almost get tired of seeing them all days. Lastly, i ended up paid a decent, affordable amount for 3 nights and a half day. They even honored me with Yelp discount! I will be back when I need someone to look over my precious baby again!

Steven and Wendy are great. I tend to miss our dogs a lot when we're away but daily text updates and pictures helped a lot! They really take time to cater to the dogs so you know your pups will be happy when you're away. Prices are super reasonable for the area. This will be our go-to pet sitting company from here on out.
