Bonchon

I revisited Bonchon for the second time and once again, their fried chicken left me impressed. The crunchiness and flavor were on point, and pairing it with a side of ranch was just perfect.

In addition to the chicken, I tried their onion rings, which were cooked to perfection - each bite packed with a delicious onion flavor.

One thing that stood out to me was the convenience of ordering by phone. The food arrived promptly, allowing me to enjoy my meal in a timely fashion.

Overall, Bonchon continues to deliver on taste and convenience, making it a go-to spot for delicious fried chicken and sides. I'll definitely be back for more.

Satisfied my late night chicken cravings here! This is a casual eatery with bar seating available. Service might feel slow, but be patient with the chicken - it's worthwhile!

We started off with takoyaki - not bad. Then the holy grail of the evening finally came: Crispy, hot, juicy, and tender chicken coated in a delightful soy garlic glaze! The sweet tanginess of the accompanying pickled radish cut into the heaviness of the fried chicken.

We decided on Bonchon for dinner our last night in DC because my son had popped in there for a late night snack and drink. We arrived about 5pm so the happy hour menu was on. I decided to pick two things off that HH menu-chicken sliders and pork buns. Both came in a group of three. My son, who recently visited Korea and adores their soy garlic fried chicken, declared them pretty darn good and worthy of the title. My daughter ordered the chicken katsu while my husband landed on beef bulgogi. All of our food came out quick and hot.
You do order and open a tab via QR code but I find this helpful and not an annoyance. You can also reorder, which my son did for a second helping of the chicken. He also opted for some spicy. It was SPICY! Servers were attentive and things came out quickly. The ambiance is open and trendy. It is a great place to grab some flavorful food.

first things first, i've never been to a bonchon with a bar, let alone serve cocktails so i was too excited to dine here because i know they got good chicken, great chicken in fact. the vibe was great and chill- i believe we came on a saturday afternoon and it was kind of empty but that changed once we left. anyways, the bulgogi rice is why im typing out this review. i don't need to say anymore beyond that, just order it. you're welcome!

The atmosphere is chill and relaxed. It's not loud at all. It's in a busy area where lots of people work so...it's super convenient for lunch.

The prices were good as well. I'll definitely go back for a visit.

Bonchon has the best soy garlic Korean fried chicken in town! I have tried the same dishes at other places and haven't found any restaurant with better soy garlic fried chicken than Bonchon.

Other dishes are kinda hit or miss. Perhaps it's safe to stick with Korean dishes; I ordered Takoyaki and it's kinda meh.

This particular location is very clean and offers plenty of seating. They have a bar with a lot of screens and so I guess it might be a good place to watch sports.

Korean style fried chicken had become popular to the millennials and the crave has become, well, common, or routine for many unlike when it was first introduced. Yet, it's a solid grub! 8 wings soy garlic served on me were heavily breaded, not their best...

For my visit today, proximity to my work primarily pulled me in and because it had ample seating for good conversation or meeting colleagues and friends, at least in the Navy Yard location. It has more of a bar vibe so seating by the bar is best and better than usual Bon Chons in other locations or in burbs.

Service was great for today's visit and I recalled their service was always great particularly when my agency held happy hours in past few years...but it's not something I would go to with frequency. As I said, I came here previously for Hhr but it is a nice place if all else fails...

I had a hankering for wings after our baseball game and Yelp recommended Bonchon, so off we went! I am happy to report that our wings were juicy, crunchy and flavorful and I would recommend these to anyone looking for or open to a non-traditional buffalo wing. The sriracha based sauce was quite hot, but still offered flavor outside of just "spicy." The soy sauce wings others at the table ordered were also yummy.
We also shared the octopus balls which were tasty, but not what I was expecting? I think I was imagining something more similar to a clam fritter, but I'm not disappointed at all. I'd absolutely return the next time I have a wings craving.
Lastly, I know it's controversial but I love QR ordering. It's just so easy. I can literally watch the total as I order so there's no "whoops" at the end of the visit, and if I order incorrectly, whose fault is that? Mine.

Chicken wings were addictive. Can't wait to go back. I really enjoyed Bonchon. Food here is amazing..
