Yelp 100 2018 Challenge 27/100
Yummy! This is the same concept of Chipotle, but it actually tastes good. There are plenty of options (some pre-decided menu items) that you can get in small, regular, or big bowl options or a burrito. I've noticed bowls are big here in Boston for food options, so i went with a create-your-own bowl.
I got chicken, cheese, white rice, black beans, mushrooms, mango salsa, guacamole, grilled onions, and cajun sour cream. Aka the kitchen sink lol.
It was amazing, priced well, and kept me full for many hours, which i can't say happens often. I'll definitely return next time I am in Boston!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 13, 2016
Pretty standard boloco chain. The food here is decent and they make it quickly. On my most recent visit, I just ordered the mango smoothie. It was good but a little on the sweet side.
Boloco is not our favorite place to go but we sometimes venture in.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melissa H.Austin, TX282122439Apr 13, 2017
This was my first time eating at a boloco, and although I was overwhelmed it was well worth it. The menu is a little confusing and the line moves fast so be sure you can make options quick or else I suggest studying the menu prior.
The regular bowl is actually a really good size and although I wasn't able to finish it, it did make great dinner leftovers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 278371682Jul 5, 2017
Wanted to get something fast near our hotel and found this place on Yelp. Got the Teriyaki bowl and The Mexican bowl. Both were very mediocre.
Reminded me of Chipotle where you pick a burrito or a bowl, pick your main protein and then choose the fillings. The main difference is that they have several sauces you can choose from like teriyaki sauce or Thai peanut sauce etc. They also have 3 sizes of bowls to choose from.
There was still a small line around 2 p.m. but it moves fairly fast.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Evandra G.Houston, TX167105208Jun 11, 2019
I love Boloco! Used to go to the location that was on Northeastern's campus when I was high school all the time. I'm never in the downtown area anymore so when I am, I have to get Boloco! Went to this location during the Pride parade (needed to use the bathroom). Bathroom is for customers only so I decided to get a mini goloco (I was hungry anyway lol and my cousin never had it before so that worked out). The person who did our burritos was a little rude but it was a busy day since the parade was right outside. Only reason they get a star knocked off. Burrito was bomb per usual - I got Boloco rice, dark meat chicken, cheese, broccoli and teriyaki sauce (my fave goloco ever). My other faves are the buffalo and the caesar!

Thank you, for taking the time to write this review it is appreciated. There is no excuse for rudeness no matter how busy we are so if you send an email to matt@boloco.com I will try to make it up to you.
Glad the burrito was bomb!

I used to adore this place and I still think they make a delicious classic burrito bowl. Excellent guac and salsa! But the service is incredibly unreliable. Did an order in advance thing and they ignored the order request and didn't make the food. A separate time, I ordered and explained I've got a kid with food allergies and none of the staff could understand what I meant or even what ingredients were in some of the dishes. I just don't feel comfortable eating here anymore and if you're trying to stay safe with food allergies, I'd keep looking. Boloco, you need to train your staff! Or just take the easy route and put up a sign that says all of your food is cross-contaminated so customers save themselves the trouble of trying to eat here.

The concept of this place is really similar to Chipotle or Qdoba where you pick if you want a burrito or a bowl and you pick your protein, fillings then sauces. I got Cajun with cajun spices, roasted corn salsa, sour cream, black beans, Boloco rice and I thought it was mediocre. I would get it if it was around the area and I'm in a hurry. The ingredients seem more fresh and healthy than chipotle though.

Boloco. I've been going to Boloco for years and I had no idea it stood for "Boston Local Company" until I read the fine print under the sign. Haha...
This is a good spot for burritos. Fresh ingredients in a white or wheat tortilla...so good. I like burritos, but lately I've been getting burrito bowls. They're just as tasty, just not as carby. My favorites are the buffalo and the teriyaki choices. I always get weird looks when I ask for no blue cheese on my buffalo chicken...I just don't like it.
Staff here are really nice, there are outlets everywhere to hook your stuff up, you can order at kiosks instead of going to the register (I love people so I didn't use this), and they have basement seating with cool tvs.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Nandanie,
No worries about not getting the full name, "Boloco" works just fine for us :) Thank you for taking the time to review us. We love customer feedback!
I'm glad you enjoy the bowls-- they are a great alternative to the carby wrap. I don't get blue cheese on my Buffalo either, I like it with sour cream (even weirder!). It's great to hear that you've had good experiences with the food, staff, and atmosphere at our restaurant. Make sure you have a Boloco card so you can swipe it when you visit to earn freebies and stay updated with our promotions.
Thanks again for the kind review. Hope we continue to see you around!j

The burrito here was sooo good! Awesome ambiance and best for a good chill hangout. I visited here in summer. They had a lot of variety of Mexican food. I tried burritos. The price was effective for the quality of the food. The staff was very helpful and nice. I had a amazing time here

We did lunch today at Boloco, and boy were we in for a treat! I had the regular sized teriyaki chicken bowl with brown rice, fajita veggies, and carrots as well....perfectly delish and fresh with a nice sweet teriyaki flavor that I loved! My wonderful husband had the small Thai wrap, which was plenty big let me tell you, which was full of fresh veggies and peanut sauce I believe....he ate it all and was def one happy camper!
I loved the drink options, and that I could get a vitamin water and my wonderful husband could get his fav coconut water was great! But my fav by far drink whise was the Nutella milkshake....ok maybe not so much a drink but dessert.....SOOO good!!!
The staff friendly and helpful, the place relaxed and comfortable, the food exceptionally good....we were more then pleased and can understand why this place can get a bit busy at peak meal hours :). Thanks Boloco for making our lunch out great! You guys are awesome!!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information
