I think this is my most favourite breakfast spot. We've been here twice and plan on coming again a third time. The 'garlic shrimp fried Rice's is delicious as is their 'crab avocado omelette'. My boyfriend got their 'loco moco' and 'chicken mushroom omelette'. The side of potatoes was well seasoned. There are other options for available such as acai bowls with bananas and strawberries, etc.

                              Beware! CASH ONLY!

They give you a big portion for your money but the menu items are slightly pricey. We ended up spending a bit more than expected BUT it was WELL WORTH IT!!! This is definitely a must stop!

    Love Bogarts!

Cool little hole in a wall cafe. This place is my fav breakfast spot but it can get really crowded during the peak hours, line is long and you never know if you get a sit when your food is ready. Recently, I started going there afternoon and it was the best idea ever. Quiet and relaxing, now I can enjoy the food without people hovering over my head waiting to grab a table.
Acai bowl is the best on the island, big portion and a lot of fruit on top and pure always has a perfect consistency. Delish!
My second choice, avocado chicken salad or breakfast bagel served all day :) or as long as they have bagels. Everything is very tasty.
    Friendly service.
One star off for cash only. I really don't get why they do that.

Because of the portion is pretty big and plant fruits!!!
I prefer to have it without Honey.
Also their Avocado Chicken salad is good stuff!!
A lot of Avocado and warm grilled chickens are big plus!! Plenty greens with DELICIOUS dressing!! YUM!!

Consistent and easier to exit parking on the side streets.  Recently saw someone  have to use a backup camera and several maneuvers to exit.  No Bueno.  So make it easier on yourself and park nearby on the spacious street.  I prefer Leahi Ave, Kanaina Ave and Kaunaoa St.

Recently tried their pumpkin chai latte because they ran out of mango.  Yum!  Worth a switch :)

They get one extra star for being really great in a medical emergency for another patron--bringing water, a fan and calling 911 calmly.  Plus they are consistent w their cleaning of floors and tables as well. Great staff!

We've been coming to bogarts since it opened. So over 19 + years.

This is a leisure breakfast place. A place to sit and relax. Be prepared to wait when it's crowded. Otherwise, I've been in here a handful of times recently and the wait for food hasn't been long at all.

The few things I enjoy here are:

The Bagel Works. I get it with garlic or onion bagel and sun dried tomato spread. It's really yummy.

I also love their pork adobo fried rice. There are good chunks of pork adobo and the flavoring just makes my tummy happy.

For a rich Acai bowl lover their Acai bowls are not watered down at all. You will enjoy.

Finally, their waffles are a winner.

Yay to Bogarts!  Come here to try.

Wow!!!!  This place may be small to look at, but the food was amazing!!!  Our group of 4 had the Hawaiian waffle, crab & avocado omelette, goldilocks Benedict, and the breakfast bagel. Everyone loved their food. After hiking diamond head it was the perfect fuel.
As others noted, no bathrooms, only cash and very limited parking. Don't let those deter you tho. We found parking on the street and walked over to enjoy our experience. Wonderful employees there were very polite and pleasant to be around.

Got their Tuscan chicken sandwich and a Mango Acai Smoothie. I don't even like chicken, but a friend recommended I try this sandwich, and I LOVED it. My boyfriend got the same thing and he loved it also.

Finally stopped by this little Waikiki gem after the HIbiscus Half Marathon!  Man, am I glad I did!

So given its extremely small size, the line was out the door at 8am on a Sunday morning.  There were maybe 6-7 tables inside and 2-3 just outside the door.  Doesn't leave much room for standing in line or sitting for that matter.  I was lucky and found parking out front in front of another restaurant and made the short walk over to Bogart's.  There was a convenient sign just outside the door with the menu on it - but if I'm being honest, I already had my heart set on the crab cakes eggs benedict!

As to be expected, the wait in line was a bit long - the patrons inside seemed to be mostly made up of tourists.  My running partner and I finally made it to the cashier and she took our order which was the crab cakes eggs benedict, a caramel macchiato, a chocolate oreo shake, and a Portuguese sausage, avocado, and cheese omelette.  We lucked out and managed to snag a table right after ordering!

The coffee came out first, from a young lady who looked as if she led a miserable life and we were just getting in her way of unhappiness.  My friend who ordered her coffee was extremely pleased with it.  My oreo chocolate shake came out next and it was so delicious!  Unfortunately, we were both done with our drinks before the food even came out.

Regardless, the food was outstanding!  I haven't had a crab cake that I actually liked until now!  I've always been a fan of eggs benedict so this was just a match made in breakfast heaven!!!  On that note, I've also never been a fan of southern fried potatoes but I actually quite enjoyed the ones that accompanied our egg dishes.

The food was impeccable.  That is truly what saved this place in my review!  I'll e back time and time again.  But remember, CASH ONLY!  And try not to let their smile-less faces deter you from eating at this wonderful little (and I do mean LITTLE) restaurant.

By the way...I can't wait to try their pancakes next!!!

Located in the gray strip mall on Monsarrat Avenue just before Waikiki Elementary School, Bogart's is a popular restaurant with a 40-60 mix of locals and tourists. There is limited parking in the lot, which fills quickly.

They boast an extensive menu and daily specials.

We tried the Hawaiian waffle, a Belgian waffle covered with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and bananas and warm haupia sauce. ONO! Not too sweet or overpowered by the haupia sauce. The corned beef hash plate was real chunks of corned beef with pan-fried potatoes and onions, two eggs any style, and two scoops of rice. Sorry, but I'm not a fan of real corned beef, so this dish wasn't my favorite, though it was tasty.

BEST. ACAI. BOWL. EVER. They truly have mastered the acai bowl!  We are regulars at Bogarts, but always get ours to-go.  You will see why... the line is always out the door.  Seating is limited.  Also, it's perfect for beach days! Just call it in and there's no need to stand in line for 15 minutes :)  Oh... cash only too!

We came after diamond head hike, we shared an Acai bowl which was awesome after the hike. Very refreshing and mama's fried rice. The rice has good flavor but nothing I would go back for.

This place is CASH only and not cheap- anything with shrimp and crab was $20+ . The Acai bowl was $9 and fried rice was around $9 as well. Limited seating, got busy so some people shared outdoor tables.

One of the best acai bowls in town!  Get this - a generous serving of acai frozen gelato soft serve covered with strawberries, banana, granola, blueberries. Drizzled with Honey.  Delicious!  About $9 a bowl and a bit of a wait, but well worth it!

    Four solid stars!

I haven't eaten here in years but I'm so glad I came back! The breakfast bagel sandwich is always a winner. I finally tried the mama's fried rice and the portion is huge and equally delicious. My friend got the pesto omelette and the eggs were fluffy, flavorful, and seasoned well. The Milano salad is always tasty and quite filling. Get the dressing on the side so you can control the level of acidity and tang. Love the combo of chicken, blue cheese, and the grapes. Parking sucks here but there's always street parking if you can't get a stall in the lot. Oh and don't be a dick and park in the no parking area because cars can't get out of their stall.

This was was a great place not too far from Waikiki. It's pretty small, cash only and they have no bathrooms for customers so those are things to know before coming here. Oh and parking in the parking lot is a rare find, so street parking within a couple of blocks is the best bet.

That being said, I really liked this place. The first time we went we got your typical fair, a crab and avocado omelet which was really good; cheesesteak sandwich which was meh; veggie delight sandwich which was better then expected; and Belgian waffle with strawberry and Nutella which was terrific. While we were there we saw the majority of ppl getting acai bowls so the second time we came back to try them. It was my first acai bowl ever and it was amazing. I've tried a couple back home since and nothing compares.

So definitely go for the acai bowls and if you're feeling unhealthy then go for the waffle! The eggs are not to miss either. The sandwiches on the other hand are okay without being great.

Bogarts is an exceptional breakfast spot! In the heart of Diamond Head, you can see that it gets the busy rush from being in a touristy area. There is always a line and no seats. The two times I have ate there my husband and I had to ask if we could share a table with another group of people because there was no room and it's truly a small cafe. I would love to see them get a bigger location because it's truly a small cafe. It definitely is great for grab and go which we did our last day in Honolulu. I love how fresh their dishes are! I have an obsession with Acai bowls and they may have the best Acai bowl I have tried in my life! The portions is HUGE and you can definitely share with one other person. My husband had their breakfast sandwich, nutella and strawberries waffles and he ATE all of it! It was so good! It is a cash only joint so you definitely have to be prepared and I would say maybe look at the menu beforehand if you are not an avid cash carrier. I am not an avid cash carrier so I would have preferred to have had a credit or debit option but other than that it is an amazing breakfast and brunch spot! If your ever in the Wakiki/Diamond Head area, go check it out!

In the many times I've been here, the best times to come in have always been when I've come in at 6am when this little shop opens. It's cool, and cozy, as only the early-birds stream in. The food is great -- get a seat while you can!

The Belgian Waffles with nutella and strawberries ($9.60) are generous, and just by itself will be a full stomach-filler. The big draw for me here, however is the Goldie Lox Benedict ($14.85). Truffle oil in the hollandaise is meh, but it's good. Share the two dishes with a friend and a cup of coffee, and you'll definitely have a good start to the day.

If, in case you do wake up in a not-so-early hour and you anticipate getting there a bit late (like... at 7am?), forget about getting a seat if you don't want to wait. The line of tourists and locals are out the door, and don't even consider parking in the lot - park on the street.  Kanaina Avenue, or Kaunaoa Street are good spots. The a/c is a bit sketchy so it'll be a bit warm. No help during the humid day - ooegh.

My sense, if I can't get my fix early, is to call in and make a take-out order. Go straight for the back and pick it up when you get there!

Now, as I mentioned the food is AMAZING, but the prices are a bit much, and service is a crapshoot if the crowd is heavy.

I've been coming here for over a year now. I haven't found a better place to get bagels! They have a huge selection of bagels, too. I always get the strawberry guava bagel, but the taro one is delicious, too :)
Their fried rice is super good too.

The only downsides are that there is a usually a long line (but thats only because its so good!) and they only accept cash.

Bogart's is a bright and casual cafe making fresh and tasty egg dishes, pancakes, salads, and sandwiches.  They stay open for lunch and early dinner, but I only go for breakfast.  I like their coffee, they use Illy and if you dine in you get a real mug.  Their eggs benedict stands out with their truffle scented hollandaise.  The Goldie Lox has lox and avocado, or spring for the Crab Cakes with real lump crab meat.  As far as hand held breakfasts go, both their Breakfast Bagel and Burrito are winners.  Totally loaded with eggs, your choice of meat, and other goodies.  And if you have a sweet tooth, the Taro Banana Pancakes with Haupia Sauce is waiting for you.  This is the perfect breakfast dessert to finish your meal.

Parking is tough, there are a lot of popular business in the area, and if you go during peak times you will wait in line to order, wait in line for a table, and wait for food.  So call in a take out or just relax and be prepared for the wait.  On a Saturday morning it'll feel like every hiker, beach goer, post workout, and tourist headed straight to Bogart's, but don't worry there is plenty of good eats here to go around.

I got here at 7am on a Friday and it was already full of people. Only 2 people in front of me in line though which was great. A seat cleared up just as I finished ordering. I decided to get one of the "local favorites" posted on a board next to the register. Chicken and veggie omelette. It's a little pricy at $14+ but it was definitely worth it. Giant chunks of moist flavorful chicken and a mound of mixed veggies all on a fluffy egg base. Veggies included asparagus, mushrooms, onions, peppers, avacado, and spinach. Very happy with my big breakfast!

They only accept cash, but there is an atm in the same little strip mall you can walk to really quickly.
