Q:
Is parking available? Good for takeout?
A:
There is a small lot and street parking. Yes, takeout is as yummy as dine in!
Joy N.Â11 months ago 1 person found this helpfulQ:
Can we make reservations?
A:
It's a small and very busy restaurant. I would assume that the setup would not be in the best interest of the restaurant to take reservations. You could order ahead and pickup your food when you get there.

I hardly get any of the shops located where Bogart's is simply because the parking is such a pain. But we were nearby after doing an early morning beach walk so decided to stop for breakfast (cause why not ingest more calories than you just burned?). It was still early so parking was open. There are not many stalls in front and they are pretty tight.
We had the fried rice, which was a huge win. It had different ingredients inside like corn and spinach but it really worked. I also loved the bigger chunks of eggs. The fried rice was really tasty.
We also had an acai bowl, which was pretty standard. I prefer the fresh blended acai bowls but this was more like a sorbet that they scooped.
My mocha was really delish and came in a cute mug that said "Queen of Everything", which I got a kick out of!
I'd most definitely be back for breakfast - can we just get some better parking?! Better idea, can they open a second location somewhere (with better parking!).10/17/2014Previous reviewI heard about Bogart's a lot but had never been. Â On my next mother-son day, I decided to do Bogarts and a hike.
Arrived at Bogart's on a Monday (but a holiday) morning around 8am to a long line to the door. The line moves very slow, I'm guessing to allow the tables to clear and the newest customers to have a place to sit. I would say it took at least 15 minutes just to place the order. Since I had sat my young son on a corner table, the time seemed to pass very slowly. The lady behind the counter will frequently yell out what menu items can be made quicker, which is very helpful.
Since we were going hiking, we didn't want anything heavy nor did we have a place for leftovers so a plain waffle and acai bowl (about $8 something) it was! The plain waffle was GREAT (little over $6)! I liked the crisp exterior (nothing on top to make it soggy). The hype of the acai bowl led to a slight disappointment. It was a little watery for my taste but overall good and better than most.
Minus one star for cash only.
This is not the restaurant's fault but some lady came over and asked to sit with my son and I on a small round bar height table. It was rather awkward since we all face in. She stated "we share tables around here" as if she were a regular but after talking to someone who goes at least once weekly, he didn't think sharing of tables, esp the small round ones was common practice. What ruined the breakfast was not only her there but her butting into my conversation with my son when I was asking him a question and she basically is blurting out an answer.
Since we ordered the foods they said were faster to prepare, including waiting in line, we were in an out within about an hour. They have a self service water area and condiment area.

QUICKIE REVIEW
Get your acai bowl and sandwich here.
FOOD
This is what I tried:
Acai bowl
Breakfast sandwich
Mama's fried rice
Hands down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. Â Not sure what extra "seasoning" they are putting in there but it is more than just love. Â Â Their acai bowl was the best on island of the many locations that I tried. Â Fried rice I had there, took home, had it again later and it was still good. Â This place is a must visit.
PARKING
Yes, shared parking in a strip plaza.
SERVICE
Order at counter, pickup at counter.
PRICE
Less than $40 for all items.
TIP/OTHER THOUGHTS
Service can be a bit funny at times, however, if you call in you can skip the hassle. Â Make sure to check you got everything you ordered. - 3212928012/18/2022
It's been a while since I've tried this place, but we came after going to the Malama Market that was down the road.
I came around 12ish and just beat the crowd, shortly after it was busy busy ! the line was to the door. Â Still got a table though.
Ordered an acai bowl and the adobo fried rice and lemme tell you!!!! That adobo fried rice is the best thing ever!!! Just as amazing as I remember. The acai bowl is also always a great choice, whatever honey they use in it is so frikken good! Pounded everything lol. I also got an orange juice which I know orange juice is orange juice but for some reason it hit different in a good way lol!
All in all this is a great place, it can get busy but the workers are always nice when I come in. - 44715522263111/28/2022
Looks like da 3rd time is da charm, as I finally made it to Bogart's Café in the Diamond Head/Kapahulu neighborhood, and may I say that this little café exceeded my expectations!
Located in a small strip mall just next door from Waikiki elementary school, you can find  Bogart's Café nestled among the other small businesses in this little strip mall.
I had Bogart's bookmarked on my Yelp page like forever, & I totally regret that I did not try out this place sooner.
Bogart's features an array of breakfast & lunch meals (I believe they are not opened for dinner).
On the menu, this charming café serves up fresh juices, coffee, & other drinks. They also have scones, sandwiches, pastas, salads, and other breakfast stuff like bagels, fried rice, benedicts, omelets, & sweet stuff like the Mango Pancakes I ordered for breakfast (see my pics).
I came here for breakfast the day after Thanksgiving, and although they were busy, service & food was very good.
Like I said before, Mango Pancakes.............I bet you folks never seen this before, as folks seem to go for Ube Pancakes. Very unique, and very deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious!!!! Nice mangoie sauce they used on them pancakes, yum!
My friend ordered the Corned Beef Hash Brisket, and the meal came with potatoes & two eggs.
I gotta say that corned beef hash brisket sure looked good, but too bad I no longer do beef or pork. Perhaps one day I may break protocol just to have a taste? Lol!
I can see why Bogart's has been around for over 20 years, as they got a good thing going.
If you're ever in the Diamond Head/Kapahulu neighborhood, it's worth the trip here to stop by Bogart's for some onolicious breakfast or lunch! - 139351/13/2023
This place never disappoints. It's definitely a must try. I've been going here for almost 10 years. I no longer live here but it's a stop I make every time I come back. I have never had a bad dish on the menu. If you are looking for delicious food, fast and friendly service, this is your place. The parking lot is small but there is street parking so keep that in mind. The guava juice is earthy, sweet and fresh. Loco moco was great, egg was cooked perfectly had great flavor. Garlic shrimp fried rice was simple and delicious.

NOT ENOUGH CAN BE SAID about HOW GREAT THIS PLACE IS..
Family has lived on Oahu for years and EVERYTIME we come visit them we all have to stop at Bogarts..
Whether it's breakfast or Lunch it's a MUST STOP!
This time we ordered:
-Adobo Fried Rice (10/10 local tip: add an Egg on top)
- 2 Avocado/Chicken salad (very good, needs more lettuce)
-Avocado Sandwhich (served on Potato Roll) next time would add Bacon!
-Açaà Bowl - 10/10 amazing amazing amazing
Inside has restrooms incase you need one while eating there!
Also location is right near Diamond head and Diamond head bakery which is a nice!
We will return and we look forward to it on our next visit! - 3862616649/18/2022
Living out on the westside, I haven't been to Bogart's in years! Back in the day, we'd drive out here when acai bowls were the up and coming thing. Although the acai bowl is delicious, years later we decided to finally try the rest of their breakfast/brunch dishes. We tried the garlic shrimp fried rice, corned beef hash brisket, mango pancakes, Belgian waffle (gave us a side of Haupia sauce to try), pork adobo fried rice and my ultimate favorite... The lobster roll!!! Everything was beyond delicious, but the lobster roll was AMAZING! The lobster roll was stuffed with a nice portion of meat with browned butter (w/ extra on the side to drizzle more on or to dip) and with waffle fries. I'll be back specifically for the lobster roll!!
The staff were extremely friendly, even with it being crazy busy. The restaurant has seating indoors and outdoors, but it's first come first serve so come early to secure your spot. Some say the breakfast can be pricey, but I think it's pretty average for anywhere in/by Waikiki. Plus, you really do pay for the quality! I'm a fan! - Elliott P.Honolulu, HI5631621/21/2023Updated review
I've been following this restaurant on Facebook for a year and always wanted to try their breakfast and dinner. Finally my wife and I took her friends there to celebrate a special occasion and we were all Pleasantly surprised at how good the food and service were at this restaurant. My only regret is waiting so long before trying their food.

A must go place for me every time I'm in honolulu. Â I LOVE their house made corned beef brisket hash. Â I mean I dream about it and compare all other hashes to it. It's amazing. Hubby loved the breakfast bagel with Portuguese sausage on an everything bagel. Â It's rated as one of the best in honolulu! Â It comes with egg, spinach cheese and tomato. Â Im always too full after inhaling the corned beef, but if you go with mire people, definitely get their mango cream or haupia cream pancakes. Â The acai bowls seem popular, too, but I can never pass up their hot breakfast items!!

We were walking on Montserrat and I was craving an acai bowl. There are three shops there that sell acai bowls. I Yelped all three and Bogart's appealed to me because they had strawberries, bananas, and blueberries on their bowls rather than just strawberries or bananas. The other's seemed a bit plain. We walked in and there was one other table. The person sweeping the floor greeted us, but the cashier said nothing. We went to walk up to the counter and that's when she first acknowledged us. Didn't offer us a menu or anything to refer to. We ordered the acai bowl, it comes in one size. It was $2 more than what was posted on Yelp. I wasn't expecting to pay $16 for an acai bowl. Like wow, even at our favorite place Nalu Health Bar, it's not that pricey.
We sat down and it was served to us. First thing that I noticed was that the texture was like sorbet, but creamy! The overall bowl didn't look that big but it was actually huge. I wish there was a smaller option tbh. The fruit was delicious, the creamy acai was a nice surprise, and the granola was just okay. Would I return for this acai bowl? I think it was better than most acai bowl places. It wasn't icy and size wise was priced appropriately for acai. Just can't imagine paying that much again.
