Q:
Do they have dine-in?
A:
On my visit in early May 2021 one table (for 6) was open for dine-in. More might be open by now...
Eric R.Â3 years agoQ:
Is there usually a wait? If so, what's an estimate or how long it would be around 6 ish?
A:
Normally there's no wait at 6ish. Between 7~9pm could be a slight crowd, the wait is about 15~30 mins.

Bodo Lucky Japanese Restaurant: Small Space, Big Flavor Explosion!
Bodo had been on my radar for ages, and finally, I snagged a spot during the bustling holiday season. Now, let me tell you, this place lives up to the hype!
Sure, it's cozy , and parking might be a seasonal game of Tetris. But once you squeeze in and snag a seat, prepare for a flavor adventure. The menu teems with intriguing options, and the star of the show, the ramen, is truly something special.
The Nagasaki ramen stole my heart (and taste buds). It's a symphony of rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and tender pork belly. I savored every slurp, and let me tell you, the spice level packs a punch. If you're a heat seeker, go for it - it's incredible. But proceed with caution, my spice-loving friends, because "spicy" here might have your forehead glistening.
Speaking of spice, the menu caters to all levels, which is fantastic. My little ramen warriors devoured the kids' option, and the accompanying fresh fries were a golden, crispy delight. Even the vegetarian ramen stole the show - a flavorful broth full of veggies that had me questioning why I ever considered meat in ramen.
And to top it all off, a complimentary pudding capped the meal with a creamy, sweet note. It was the perfect way to end this epic culinary journey.
So, if you're looking for an intimate, flavorful, and authentic ramen experience, Bodo is a must-try. This gem is definitely on my "come back for more" list, and I'm already raving about it to all my ramen-loving friends.
**Highlights:**
* **Amazing Nagasaki ramen:** Flavorful broth, perfect noodles, and tender pork belly.
* **Vegetarian ramen:** A must-try for meat-free foodies.
* **Spicy options:** Customizable spice level, but be warned, "spicy" is no joke!
* **Kids' menu:** Ramen and fries combo that'll keep the little ones happy.
* **Complementary pudding:** A sweet, creamy finish to the meal.
* **Interesting menu:** More than just ramen to explore.
**Considerations:**
* **Small and crowded:** Be prepared for a cozy (read: tiny) atmosphere.
* **Limited seating:** Snag a spot early, especially during peak hours.
* **Parking might be tricky:** Plan ahead and explore nearby options.
**Overall:**
A small space with a big flavor punch! Delicious ramen, customizable spice levels, and more to explore on the menu. Perfect for ramen lovers and adventurous eaters. Just be prepared to share the space and potentially the sidewalk for parking. I'll definitely be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 3, 2024
Came here for a weekday lunch.
I got the grilled mackerel rice set with milk tea. My sister got the fried fish and vegetables with special Japanese vinegar sauce.
The meal started with the milk tea and a tasty Tonkotsu broth. Not too salty or heavy, and very comforting.
The meal set also sone with a cabbage salad and a generous portion of rice. my mackerel was a but dry - the skin was nice and tasty, but part of the meat were quite dry and hard. They srthey also cut out the spine of the fish, leaving some smaller bone pieces that are a little harder to pick out. I much prefer mackerel with the spine in place so I can cleanly take the meat off.
I also tried the fried fish with vinegar sauce. Flavor of the sauce was good but overall the dish was very oily. The fish has a very thick coating, maybe half of it was batter.
Service was fast. I noticed that the ramen dishes were served faster than the rice meals.
They were fully packed on a weekday so this place is really popular right now! Not much space to wait inside so you can stand around outside or wait in your car. There's a sign up sheet inside but no electronic system to get an update (queue was only a few minutes wait so we just stood around).

Bodo Lucky is our go-to ramen restaurant and their ramen is the only ramen I eat. I don't like ramen at any other ramen restaurant. (Yes, I'm very picky)
We've been coming here for ramen for years and it never disappoints! Not only is their ramen great, but they have an extensive menu for people who aren't in the mood to eat ramen. THIS is what I LOVE about this place! It's not just strictly ramen, but plenty of other options.
I honestly was not a fan of eating ramen before coming here and the first dish that I got was an unagi don. I loved the portion that was given and it was very filling. Their seaweed salad that came with the unagi don was really good too. Sometimes seaweed salad is too sweet but the one here is really good.
The second time we came here, I decided to try their tonkatsu ramen just to see how their ramen was. I liked it but I felt like it wasn't my "cup of tea". Luckily they have other ramen options and I did see that they have a garlic ramen! It's the Kuro ramen also known as browned garlic ramen. I was a little nervous to try it because I wasn't too amazed with the tonkatsu ramen. When it came to the table, it smelled SOOOO good! Before I tried any of the noodles or any of the meat, I tried the broth alone. It was amazing! If you're a garlic lover, then I highly recommend the Kuro Ramen! Other than the broth being good, the chashu pork that was inside was also really good and they were pretty big slices too! What I liked is that you can see and taste that the pork is either grilled or fried a little bit before being put in the ramen. It's really good!
Another one of my favorite dishes is the Garlic Fried Chicken Steak! It's a rice plate with some friend chicken that looks like karaage but it's seasoned really well and it comes with some Kewpie mayo. I always ask for some extra Kewpie mayo. There are also some visits where they give a "free dessert" which is usually tofu pudding or red bean mochi. I love the tofu pudding!
Overall, this will always be our go-to ramen place and we'll continue to eat here at least once a month!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 8, 2023
Where do I even start... this place is bomb.com!! So much value for what you get.
Free iced tea, free dessert (we got almond pudding), and lollipops with our check.
The food was pretty darn tasty. I got the black garlic ramen and the cold noodles. I would order both again. 100/10!
Definitely coming back here.. didn't know it was so close to my work. Such a hidden gem!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 188593Dec 31, 2023
Pleasantly surprised at how good the food was given the scale at which they're operating. It's possible that parking could be a challenge on Friday evenings but we were lucky to have showed up on a relatively quiet night. The umami in the spicy miso broth was pretty good and the pork slices were quite lean. We also ordered the fried fish as an appetizer and it turned out to be pretty great too (nice and spicy). Also, the milk tea was free and as we asked for the check, they brought out some desserts with a filling which I thought was a nice gesture. They only take orders via QR codes provided at every table, so definitely carry a phone with a working camera when you do stop by!

We have been coming to Bodo Lucky for a few years now. The food is great and the staff are friendly. We like both the ramen and the plates, and they throw in a milk tea and often dessert for no extra charge.
The seating area is relatively small so you may have to wait for a table. Also, on cold nights you don't want to sit by the door because the constant opening and closing of the door will subject you to icy cold blasts of air.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and there was no wait. Located in a mini plaza so parking is not an issue. We ordered through a QR code. All ramens come with a free drink, your choice of lemon or milk tea (hot or iced). We got one of each iced but both preferred the milk tea.
I got the A3 miso ramen with mild spice and my partner got A1 Bodo lucky ramen with medium spice. Strong miso flavor for mine. Spice was lacking, just a minor kick. Personally I think the noodles were cooked a little too long and were a bit soft but my partner said it was fine and thought it had a good chew to it.
The ramen comes in a big bowl and the portions are pretty good for its price. Good amount of toppings as well. It's definitely much cheaper than most ramen places with prices ranging from $12-14. At the end, the server also brought over free complimentary almond tofu pudding for dessert and gave us two lollipops with our bill. Free drinks and dessert for such an affordable price! You rarely see that anywhere these days! Lots of ramen options on the menu so I'll be back!

We finally made a pit stop to Bodo for lunch, after telling ourselves countless times that we should give them a try every time we shop at 168 Market. When we arrived around 5pm in the evening, it was surprisingly quiet inside, with only 1 other patron dining. This was quite fortuitous for us, as we were serviced promptly, and our food came out quite expeditiously.
We were drawn to the free milk tea or lemon tea offer with every ramen order, and were very happily surprised at the really affordable prices as well! We ordered a Miso Ramen as well as a Japanese Curry Ramen with Karage Fried Chicken. Both came out to $13.50 ea, and serving sizes were quite generous! While the two ramen bowls were very different, they were both equally delicious in their own rights.
Service here was very friendly, and they had no problem accommodating small requests we had concerning our drinks. As we were dining, this place started to fill up quickly as more and more patrons poured in. 5pm seems to be the magical time to come for dinner to avoid the crowds.
This is a REALLY great place to stop by for cheap, wholesomely good ramen. And we look forward to making this one of our regular haunts whenever we shop at 168 Market nearby!

Bodo serves decent ramen for a stellar price. I wouldn't say it's mindblowing, but it sure satisfies a craving. We waited 20 minutes on a weekend dinner before we got a seat as the inside seating is limited. Service was great and appreciated their friendliness. We were offered complimentary milk teas which was nice. Again, nothing crazy special, but a really sweet freebie.
Order:
-Browned garlic ramen: Pretty good ramen. The bowl was sizable and had enough for leftovers the next day. Out of all the ones ordered in the party, this soup had the most depth of flavor.
-Karaage fried chicken: Really good and juicy. There was a good crisp outside. The mayo dip worked well
-Fried fish with salt chili pepper: Good crisp on the outside fish. The spiciness was at a good level for someone who doesn't eat spicy often
-Fried tofu with salt chili pepper: Probably my favorite. It came out while we were already eating our ramen. The tofu was pipping hot. It had the same salty-spicy seasoning as the fish.
Overall, a good place to satisfy a ramen craving.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
