The gentleman at the front desk is so pleasant and professional with every patient but the other lady who looks Asian or Spanish has attitude problem, she is rude and intimidating.
Iam considering going to a different establishment because of her, she makes me feel uncomfortableHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Celine W.Erie, CO36121Apr 3, 2023

This review is long overdue. I've injured my shoulder several times and have gone to PT for it over the years, but this is the first time I've felt long-term relief. Erica is wonderful, and progresses with exercises appropriately to ensure that you challenge yourself. I've shared with her some exercises that I want to be to perform at the gym on my own, and she incorporates exercises to make sure I'm able to do eventually do so without injury. Convenient location and generally easy scheduling. I just wish I had gone here sooner vs other offices where assistants (aka college students) work with you. Nothing wrong with college students, but when we're talking about an injury, I want a doctor working with me.

It's sad to say that the center does not care to see their patients improve. As a doc myself and a person in healthcare, I don't approve of this center. My father's prescription calls for 2 sessions a week. The therapist, Anne, has not been taking an interest lately. My father and I have felt her neglect 3 fold.
1. she's paying attention to other patients during his sessions, which is unacceptable .
2. Then she dropped his weekly PRESCRIBED sessions from 2x/wkly to 1x/wkly to supposedly "accommodate" other patients...
3. When she knew his scheduled appts were coming to an end, she chose not to schedule him for more, or at the very least direct him to her front desk to assist with the scheduling.
Front the beginning, fortunately my family and I told her money was NEVER a factor. I know Medicare has their stipulations, and all we cared about is my father getting out of the house and getting better - further increasing his strength and stamina.
Unfortunately, patients get lost and dropped in the a flux, and it's awful when the patient is relying on the therapist to help him/her get better. Again as a person that works in the healthcare field, you want someone on your side and rooting for you to improve. Unfortunately, this center does not. Hope you find better care than this!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joanne H.Centreville, VA013Feb 14, 2022
My adult son has been working with Bodies in Motion for a number of years. I would highly recommend because of their superb staff, professional and knowledgeable therapists. Safe, clean and upbeat environment. Great parking too! Don't hesitate to call them

I tore my rectus abdominus from my pubic bone a little over a year ago and have had two surgeries to repair. I have continued having pain and issues while diligently performing exercises and seeking treatment from 3-4 different Physical Therapists and 2 Chiropractors. What's I've learned is that, unfortunately, most practitioners don't know the core muscles well enough to actually help... they told me to do planks, and so I did planks... but most just don't have the level of experience to specifically recognize the intricacies of using the correct muscles (and using them correctly!)
I finally found Secili DeStefano at Bodies in Motion in Reston, VA. I could tell after a single visit that this lady KNOWS what she is doing, (and that I've wasted the past year with every other therapist I've seen :( ...) I never really understood until now how important it is to find the right doctors... they just aren't all created equally! She is extremely detailed in her instructions, personable, helpful, accommodating, passionate about what she does... you name it. I can't say enough good things about her.
In summary, my personal experience with the injury has been a long and challenging year. I have still not fully recovered but I feel I would have had much more success if I had found a better physical therapist right off the bat. I HIGHLY recommend trying to get in to see Secili DeStefano specifically.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Hyewon S.Fairfax, VA032Aug 25, 2017
I had an car accident earlier in this year and had very bad back and neck pain. I reached them by the phone and the staffs were very nice and helping!
I've finished 5-6 week treatment and my back and neck feels so much better. They also gave me exercises to do on my own so that I can maintain after the treatment is done. Therapists were professional and friendly. Highly recommend this place!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Dave J.Fairfax, VA0117Dec 16, 2014
I just completed two months of treatment, and while I really don't want to need more physical therapy if I do I'll certainly return to Bodies in Motion in Fairfax. This was my third experience with physical therapy (chronically bad shoulder and arthritis in the lower neck), and my first time at Bodies in Motion. My time with Sam was not only very effective, it was fun too. He is an upbeat therapist who knows his stuff and knows how to explain it as well. The atmosphere is extraordinarily friendly and flexible. Stephanie cheerfully set up my schedule and managed my copayments with ease.
I left feeling much better physically, but also enjoyed every session. The conversations flowed (and I'm typically shy). Unlike my previous experiences at other PT offices, Sam was the only therapist I worked with throughout my treatment. In my previous experiences, the primary therapist often did one bit of work (the massage, for example), and then I was passed off to one of several interns or junior therapists for other exercises, etc. The assistants were not able to track my progress or even fully understand the extent of my injuries.
For old vets of therapy or rookies, I can't imagine a better facility or therapist for your treatment (not saying the other therapists are as good--I only worked with Sam).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laura R.Alexandria, VA013Jul 30, 2019
I went to see Nadia for some postpartum issues and was really happy with the whole practice. Great welcoming and productive environment. Nadia helped me pinpoint some issues and was sure to both help me during our sessions and equip me with stretches, etc. to do at home that have really helped. Highly recommend!

It's been a while since I was at Bodies in Motion and I wanted to wait to write a review to verify that my pain didn't return. Well, here we are...
I had a wonderful experience at Bodies in Motion. I'd never been to physical therapy before, but my orthopedic surgeon recommended it before trying surgery on my shoulder pain. I randomly picked Bodies in Motion based on some good reviews and I couldn't have been happier.
I was assigned Jamie as my therapist and worked with her for about 8 weeks. She was awesome. Everyone in the office has an awesome attitude and they truly seem to enjoy working with folks. (I usually left laughing about something Sam and Jamie were talking about.)
The best part is that it's been nearly 6 months and I haven't needed surgery on my shoulder. Jamie gave me a few exercises to do at home to loosen my shoulder up. Then, she was able to coax me into trying some dry needling that really seemed to help. (I was very hesitant to try the dry needling, but it actually felt pretty good after the fact. There was no pressure from her, just a simple, professional recommendation.) I'm back to my normal lifting, cycling, and snowboarding lifestyle.
If you're in need of a physical therapist, you really can't beat the attitude in this office. It was fun to work with this group and I'll go back if I ever need physical therapy again. Top notch.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
