1/11/2020This store is a joke, for multiple reasons. When you walk in, they will not get off your back. I want to browse the furniture and be left alone. I will find you if I have a question. The SECOND they shake my hand and they've made the sale, you don't exist to them. I just spent a ton of money with you, but okay.
And now, I placed an order for pickup at this store over a week ago. My order confirmation email said I would get an update on when to pick it up. 10 days later, nothing. I call the store, no one picks up. Real lack of professionalism. People need to know while the prices are tempting, you are definitely sacrificing service.

10/3/2019Purchased a Bartop table, stools, recliner set, and a bedroom set. We were very pleased with our purchase. The process from the day of our orders, to delivery was a breeze. Our salesperson was nice even though I forgot her name. She was patient in answering all of our questions, explained the differences in selections, went over warranty options, etc.

Am I in the right place? The reviews on this place would be enough to deter someone from shopping here, but not I. My mom and I made plans to meet at Bob's after work to pick out furniture for my new apartment.
I already knew what I wanted but needed to see it
in person. I walked as I waited for my mom to show up. I was greeted my Carline who showed me the bedroom furniture I had my eye on along with the couch I saw online. I made it very clear that I was waiting for my mom and I wasn't moving forward with any paperwork until she got here. She obliged me and decided to send someone over to get started on the basics. Cool, not a problem but remember I said I wanted to wait.
The couch I fell in love with is not your standard size couch. The Dakota is 108" and had a beautiful deep navy blue color. In certain lighting it looks charcoal. Absolutely gorgeous. Carline tried to interest me in another couch named, Melanie which is 72". It was also blue but not what I wanted.
She tried to convince me that she's been in the business for a long time and that most apartment doors are average size making it difficult to get furniture through the door. She asked where I was moving to. I told her and quickly replied and asked if she lived in the area since she seems to know Queens so well. She told me no, however the Dakota couch can't be taken apart and will result in the furniture being sent back and I'd have to pick out something else.
I told her okay well I know what I want and the Melanie couch is not what I came here for. Carline realized I wasn't letting up and said she'll add everything in but it may result in me having to pick out a different couch. I let that comment slide because I had faith everything would work out.
My mom finally shows up as Carline is doing her thing on the computer. The total ended up being way over my initial budget. There was confusion on her part because she added a love seat that I never agreed upon. She stated, "you told me you wanted a bedroom set, couch, and love seat." I told her no, I wanted a bedroom set, a couch and possibly a love seat. Possibly being the operative word. Besides why would she add a love seat that I never confirmed. Assuming doesn't help anyone.
Case and point when I want something nothing will deter me. The couch is sitting in my living room with no problems, tears, or marks. Listen to your gut instinct. 2/1/2020I used to love Bobs furniture store on woodhaven not any more. I brought a queen spender bedroom set 2 years ago. The rail on the right side of my bed broke and my groof proof warranty rant out How convenient for me. I brought the rails for my bed and set up and delivery fee $119.90 The delivery guy came said we just going drop off the rails off and that's it. I asked them being that u already here can u set the rails being that already here. He gets on the phone speaking in Spanish only then tell me she said only drop off only. I have to call and make another appointment for another guy to put the rails on my bed. Right now I wanted to Fucking Scream!!! Now I have to take a day off from during the week now. I called bobs furniture again to set up another appointment the customer guy tells me why didn't they put the rails so he said the delivery guys would come back later today. Now its 4:36pm No one call me or knock on my door I called bobs again now the customer service guy said they will come on Tuesday to put my rails on my bed. At this point I'm so fed up with this store customer service say one thing and the people in the store say another at this point I Will never buy anything from this store again I will try Bobs furniture in Brooklyn next time if they give me the run around like the store in queens I rather go to Ashley Furniture and pay more for my furniture than to deal with the huge headache and being lie to from bobs furniture.

12/19/2019I would give a zero if I could. Bob's sucks. Furniture came broken. Already broken table less then 2 months old. Got hung up on. Do not buy from bobs!!!!!!!

2/18/2019Horrible. Here's why:
1. Set delivery date and explained that our building has strict time frames and drop off dates--got the confirmation from bobs. Then they call us back and essentially say "oops our system messed up so we can't do it that date. We can do it a week from that date instead" (there goes a vacation day, since the date I requested I already had off)
2. When they delivered the bed set, they dropped my dresser (my fiancé heard a loud bang) then they go "hmm...not sure why but this piece is broken, we will bring you a new one !" Sounds great and all right? But as I said strict building regulations restricts my drop off days-- yet again, another vacation day down
3. Realized that the night stand light was malfunctioning , asked for a new one and they said "nah we got a better idea. We will send a repair man to fix it." Repair man came and was in my apartment for TWO HOURS before he said "soooo weird but this thing can't be fixed! Let's schedule a delivery for a new one!" I said GREAT we're already getting a delivery tomorrow, let's add it on there. But of course, that's not possible they say because they load the trucks 2 days in advance. SO, ANOTHER DELIVERY DATE NEEDS TO BE SET AKA ANOTHER DAY OFF
4. After 3 separate delivery dates and exactly 1 month and 5 days after we made the purchase - we FINALLY got all of the pieces.
5. After our obviously ridiculous ordeal, I (very politely, mind you) requested we get some money knocked off. They agreed, and I asked that they please send me this in writing...and thank god I did because IT WAS NOT taken off the bill!
This company has no problem taking your money, but apparently every problem using that money towards customer service training. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, and will not be purchasing from them ever again. - B0bby T.Queens, Queens, NY0 friends1 review
1/16/2020Bought a Couch set for almost 3500 plus a 5 year separate purchase warranty Goff proff, A year later having issues with Soffa called warranty they said they will do nothing about issue due to not a accidental issue to the couch but a factory defective and would not cover it ,Then called Bob's they said its not a defective sound accidental call warranty issue with long waits and no answers I'm stuck with a couch with warranty that nor Bob's or warranty coverage are not covering issue, Beware about buying expensive furniture from Bob's , You are better off somewhere else please do ur research and know what kind of warranty they are selling you and I believe the price I paid for the couch set was not worth what I paid for it but looked expensive at time of purchase the long last quality is not there

My experience: Purchased a complete bedroom set (along with mattress & boxspring), a desk set, and an entertainment center.
The dresser, upon delivery, had one drawer sealed shut. Why, I have no clue. Upon calling the customer service line, I was asked if I wanted the dresser as is, instead of getting a new one delivered---seriously?? I literally laughed at the lady over the phone and insisted that, yes, I would prefer to receive a dresser where the drawers *actually* open. Still shaking my head over that one.
The second dresser they delivered arrived with one of the drawer pull-handles missing (I replaced it myself, because it was just less hassle at that point).
The bedroom set and entertainment center were quickly slapped together by the 3 delivery men, and I went around to each piece of furniture after they left to tighten all of the screws as everything was still wobbly.
The mattress and box spring lasted exactly 6 months before the mattress began to dip in the center---I'm talking the Grand Canyon here---keep in mind, the bed is being used by a 12-year old 105lb girl. When I lifted up the mattress to look underneath, there was a huge hole in the center---as if the springs began to shift downwards and ripped through the mattress and surface of the box spring. After I finish writing this review, I will be on my way to Ashley's Home Furniture to buy a new set because Bob's so-called "mattress warranty" is useless as reported by many other reviews here. - Luci B.Queens, NY
11/26/2018Updated reviewWell...the couch was a bargain while it lasted haha! The reclining feature broke on both sides just a couple years in, and that's not covered by the warranty cuz reasons, you know how it goes. It showed wear and tear fast, the firmness of the cushions rapidly declined. Three, maybe 4 years this couch was in solid shape (if you don't care about reclining), but when I got a new couch this year, this one wasn't even sellable on Craigslist. It's good starter furniture, great if you have cats or kids who will destroy it anyway, and honestly people who just need something in their budget. I'd still shop around if I were you, and don't bother with the cheap "leather". If you're getting a bargain couch I think it makes more sense to go with fabric.
4/5/2012Previous reviewMe and my roommate had a great experience here. After searching all over Queens and Long Island for a leather couch within our budget with seats high enough to support our necks- Bobs was pretty much our last hope. We ended up finding exactly what we were looking for! For $1,000, we got a black faux leather (I'm assuming) 3 seat sofa that reclines. Everyone who sits in it tells us how comfortable it is, I couldn't be happier. We did have to wait a little while to be rung up at the store itself but that's fine, and delivery was no problem.

7/15/2019What started our nice ended horribly... delivery service was atrocious. First the set a time then confirm it... then they txt me saying they will be there in 10 minutes.... 6 hours before they are suppose to come. After this they do not come for another 3 hours. After the get there the delivery people damage my walls and the furniture came broken. Dealing with customer service in getting it repaired has take close to a month and it still isnt done.

There are some pretty bad reviews here but I definitely did not have the same experience. The store is in a busy area depending on when you visit so getting in and out of the area can a bit of a headache sometimes.
They do have parking and there is some metered parking as well .
The store itself is pretty big and decent amount of options. The sales folks there are nice and were pretty knowledgeable as well as far as options depending on what you were looking for.
I ended up complete the sale online which was a breeze as well. I ordered a bed set and a drawer piece and desk in two separate orders. Both times were easy and the delivery was fine. The window they give you is pretty accurate and my orders included putting it together which is great. They guys did a good job both times, two different guys.

I went Saturday to pick out a couch. I knew exactly the one I wanted and someone led me to it, but then he went off to meet a new customer. That's when I met Ms. Tracey. She was so great, full of energy, and made me so excited about my new couch. She helped me through all the financing options and all other the other logistics along with it.
Today, the couch got delivered. It came way early (which was AMAZING), and the set up guys were fantastic. They handled the third floor walk up with ease, set up the couch beautifully and even took all the boxes and wrappings away with them, leaving me with a perfect couch. They were kind, quick and efficient.

5/2/2019Horrible customer service. This location really puts the franchise to shame. Be careful when visiting this location. None of the people working behind the computer know what is going on. Manager does not show face at all.
Had my delivery cancelled without any notice. Second try, delivery person broke some of the furniture. 3rd attempt, the "left a piece behind" but next deliver is not available after 5 days.
The worst part is that the people working at the store try to give you a false direction just to get you out of the store, but when you call care they tell you something else.
Last, they try to offer you a bobs gift card as part of compensation reward but who would want to keep buying from them when the service is horrible.
Definitely not worth your money.
There is not professionalism in this place.

9/29/2019Terrible service. On a busy Saturday morning, sales agents are goofing off and sleeping in the center of the store. Tried to buy a rug, and they supposedly reserved one from another location for pickup in that location and charged my credit card. The next day, tried to pick it up at the other location and it was sold out! No rug, and they still charged my card. Now I have to go hunt it down in another location. Not worth the hassle to come here

8/15/2019I Goto bob's furniture store in Whitestone queens and wanted a particular sofa bed couch and that particular gray color would not be available until a month later. I need it now because I have people staying in my apartment. I ask sales person if other bobs will have that same sofa sooner he said no, we all work from the same data base. Ok fine, So I leave and shop around other furniture stores but I still love that sofa bed and decide to give it another shot and went to another bob's maybe I get that gray couch. I speak to salesman there and he tells me yes we have that couch available for delivery in 3 days, I tell him you sure because other bobs tell me that gray couch will be available one month later. He said not true we have it now. I felt that was strange. Now understand me and my wife sat on that gray couch we wanted and touched it in front of salesman. Ok so delivery day arrives this morning and I received a brown couch and the delivery guys try to talk me into keeping the brown. I refused. I check my bill and it does say brown couch on it, I never checked the bill myself. Never again. I come back to bobs and all they can do is give me a refund. Now I sold my old couch and at the moment I'm couchless sitting on hard chairs with guest over from Florida. You can imagine my frustration. My guess was the salesman wanted to make a commission no matter what, not worrying about the customer. Never coming to bobs again!!

4/24/2019Bought recliner 2 months ago paid for good proof protection plan after my recliner broke after one month then I get an email that I'm not covered for accidentally damaged furniture even though the plan says it covers accidentally covered furniture. What a racket. Warning do not buy there good proof service it's a big lie. I Am seeking legal help.

11/26/2019Their assembly management needs to check out their employees assemble the furniture. We picked up our furniture today and the packing looks great. Furniture has no damage whatsoever except how it's been assembled. Two drawers are crooked. If I wanted ugly crooked furniture, I would had assembled it myself and if I needed to assemble my own furniture, I would had gone to ikea but that wasn't the point was it?
