Travelers expect airport food to be bad, but it's hard to take when bad and expensive.
My breakfast sandwich was a croissant with eggs over easy, bacon, and provolone... I'd say this was a $6 sandwich at best.
The ingredients had the quality of cheap groceries (thin, un-crispy bacon, dry/stale croissant), and when I asked for mustard I got a little pile of packets on a plate.
Initially my server was very friendly, asking about my travel plans. For some unknown reason he became very cold after that, and only came by my table to run my card.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eileen R.Fort Worth, TX01Mar 25, 2024
Great menu and the bartender Michelina was great! Definitely the best place in Terminal 8.

I fly every week and Bobby Van's is a must stop when I am at JKF. Staff is always friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The foods is great and it is just nice to enjoy a great meal at beautiful restaurant at an airport!!

Not sure why ratings are so low because I've always had pretty good experiences here. Food is decent and service is efficient and friendly. The regular burger here was much better than expected, especially the quality and cook of the patty. The wings were a bit over fried so I'm not sure I'd get them again. They used to offer a quesadilla (another solid item), but it was missing from the menu on our last visit.
With priority pass your meal is covered at $28 pp with an option to bring in a guest. FYI tip is not included in this.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Barbara B.Brookline, MA03Apr 5, 2024
Very disappointed. $45 Tuna not seared today as it was refrigerator cold. Plain, cold, stale rice and a quarter size dollop of seaweed salad. Plain soy sauce as a condiment. Sad to look at. Even sadder to eat.
Friends did enjoy wedge salad, fries, onion strings and BLTs. Guinness pour was a thing of beauty and service was good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 4, 20241 check-in
We came to this restaurant which is in an airport since we had extra time to spare until our boarding time. Also, they take priority pass. We arrived to one entrance and stood there waiting because there was a sign saying "please wait to be seated". We stood there for few minutes. However, all the servers passed us and didn't seat us or said anything to us. I was confused because there were plenty of seats and it wasn't that busy. Then I saw another entrance and people got seated from that entrance. We were pretty upset that the workers there completely ignored us. So we quickly moved to the other entrance. By the time we got seated they said breakfast just ended and that we had to wait for lunch. We weren't happy with the first impression or service because we could have order breakfast if they didn't ignore us. Therefore we had to wait over 30 minutes until lunch time.
Finally, we ordered a sandwich and a burger. The food was alright for the amount time we have to wait for lunchtime and for them to make the food. The service was pretty slow and ambiance was okay. There were some seating in the front of the restaurant and there were more seats in the back. The restaurant was well lit and have an old dining vibe.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 31, 20243 check-ins
Food (2/5): The menu options were quite sparse and the items very overpriced (e.g. $30 burger and $70 steaks). I think they adjusted their price due to priority pass. Overall the food itself was ok and definitely not worth the quality.
Service (2/5): Initially the servers were quite rude and non-attentive. For example, one of the entrances had a please wait sign. Many servers passed by us without saying anything, apparently you had to use the other entrance and nobody decided to help to inform us. Additionally the signs and menu clearly mentioned breakfast until 1045am. We arrived around 1020am and they wouldn't let us order until 11:15am. Additionally, the overall server attitude wasn't friendly. After waiting almost 40 minutes to order, the food itself took over 30 minutes to come. Very slow service. Over time though, the servers got more friendly and helpful so perhaps it was just and off period when we came in.
Ambiance (3/5): Looks like an old school steakhouse. A lot of the decorations looked dated. However, the place was clean and spacious.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jessica G.Long Island City, NY148455Mar 26, 2024Updated review

Service is amazing. The food - not so much, especially for the prices. I got the burger and it was greasy, bun was stale, fries were mediocre, lettuce wasn't washed properly. I did add cheese and bacon. The base burger and fries is not worth 27, even considering airport and NY prices. The ingredients aren't quality and fairly obvious they are doing pre-made ordering for their kitchen.

Stopped in before a flight and the service from Teddy was excellent. Breakfast sandwich, croissant, egg and sausage was decent although a bit odd. There were 2 link sausages cut lengthwise then topped on the egg. The swiss cheese if put over the sausage would have kept things together. Not the best balance between the main ingredients. Potatoes were not great at all.
Simple vibe so early in the morning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
