Is the all you can eat being served again?
A:
I ate there about a month ago and they were not offering ayce. But their combo specials are well worth the price!

Are they open for all you can eat now?

Not AYCE, they have combo options that are similar to what you would have gotten with AYCE

We live close to this restaurant and were craving KBBQ so we decided to try it out since it has high ratings.
First impression when we walked in was that the restaurant was dated.
We were sat down, and then 5 minutes later, we were asked to moved because a bigger party had a reservation and the staff wanted to use our table. That's fine, but another person was sat there afterwards, was served his food and was eating, and then asked to move lol maybe lack of communication between the staff?
There was a variety of banchan, but most tasted mediocre. The veggie pancake was good though. We got Combo B because we didn't mind cooking ourselves and liked the meat options. One of the staff started cooking for us. We thought that was nice but she was also distracted and doing 10 other things so there were a few times where we had to recook the meat she served us because they were still raw. The quality of the meats was disappointing. The meat was tough. To be quite frank, Gen's quality is a lot better for similar price (and it's AYCE).
At the end, we were brought the bill. We asked for a to-go box for our leftovers and then the waitress immediately takes our bill back. I was confused and thought maybe the bill was wrong? And then it clicked. We were being charged for the box. I get it, it's a mom and pop shop--you need to maximize your profits. However, since we normally don't get charged for a to-go box (and on the rare occasion we do, it's like 10 cents and then tell us beforehand), this caught us off-guard. Especially after feeling like the meat was cheap quality.
It seemed like there were a lot of frequent visitors because the guests and staff knew each other's names. I wonder if they order different things than us because I wouldn't come back unfortunately.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Aug 31, 2023
Out here waitin for my SoonduBOO, but nowadays every guy just wants to get JJIGAE with it *sigh*. Heard this was a very local spot, but I actually think Tofu House in Milpitas is better
.:: FOOD ::.
Jab Chae $12: Glass noodles with beef. Could use more seasoning, ie soy sauce. VERY little meat.
Beef Tofu Soup $14: set comes with rice, and side dishes. The side dishes consist of kimchi, japchae, beansprouts, and potato. There was indeed a LOT of tofu and mushroom. NOT much meat which was disappointing. Also wish it had a bit more UMMPHH to it. Tasted more bland, especially when I ordered mild.

The waitress are all super nice and very warm and welcoming. Food came super quick. I came on a Saturday morning right when they opened. Got seated immediately.
The place is super simple, gives me mom & pop shop feels.
Parking was super easy as it was located in a plaza.Helpful 11Thanks 3Love this 8Oh no 3 - Aug 28, 2023
4.1 stars!
Came on a Thursday lunch and was greeted and seated right away. The staff was super friendly and refilled our water and was attentive. Their combos are great and definitely worth the money. However, they only had the kbbq for you to cook for dinner. Note that they only serve already cooked food for lunch. Flavors were authentic and again, generous portions!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Dec 20, 2023
I have nothing bad to say about this place. We usually go in groups of 6-8 people on a weekday about an hour before closing and the restaurant is always so accommodating and kind. They always are so attentive and we never feel rushed when we eat. Food is always delicious. We always get special combos 1 and 2 and sometimes some other side dishes/appetizers. Also pretty affordable with what you get and food quality. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area!

Small restaurant, simple interior but serving great and authentic Korean food. Their spicy pork is always my favorite, and they have some nice seafood kimchi soup too. I like their side dishes, it's so good I can just eating them with plain white rice.

*LOCATION*
This restaurant is located in a small, quiet plaza right off of I-880. It shares a parking lot with McDonald's and there's usually plenty of parking available. We're not sure if it's a family-owned business or not but it definitely has the feel of one.
*WAIT TIME*
We've been to this place for dinner multiple times (so have seen it range from just a few tables to a full house) and surprisingly have never had to wait for a table. That being said, on the busier days, the service is noticeably slower because they seem to have the same number of waiters on any given day.
*FOOD*
Over the course of many visits, we've tried quite a few things on the menu:
-Beef and seafood soft tofu soup: octopus and clams are yummy, shrimp is the small pre-peeled salad kind, would be v nice if they included an egg
-Hot stone pot kimchi bibimbap with beef: suuuuper good with the crunchy rice at the bottom, a lot spicier than anticipated, LOVED how the dish remained piping hot throughout the whole meal
-Chicken wings: nice and crispy
-Corn cheese: too much mayo imo, more watery/wet than usual
-Tteok-bokki: sautéed with vegetables and fish cake, tasted ok
-Combo 2 bbq: a LOT of food for 2 people, all of the meats were pretty good, 2 types of dipping sauces (sesame oil w/ salt is my fav), smaller portion of regular tofu soup than if ordered separately, steamed egg was not as smooth/silky as other places
*SERVICE*
The female waitresses are always very nice and offer water/tea right when we get seated. They occasionally check in to see how we're doing and help refill our banchans upon request (except jab-chae which needs to be ordered).
*AMBIENCE*
It's a typical Asian restaurant vibe, nice to visit every once in awhile for some Korean food that hits the spot every time!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 5, 2023
Came Friday dinner and there wasnt a lot of people. Food was mediocre. We got combo A and loved the variety of food we got but the serving sizes were pretty small.
Service was quick and the staff were all nice. Parking here is nice. Though not my first choice for korean food in the area.

We came here for lunch one day and it was a great deal! We got the Bulgogi and Beef and Seafood Tofu Soup, plus all the sides. The restaurant was very spacious and there was a lot of seating and the service is super quick. The portions are a little smaller since it was lunch, but it was a good amount of food. The meat was cooked well and the soup was very flavorful. The soup also had a lot of toppings in it, usually theres only a few pieces of seafood. All of the sides were tasty too, but we weren't able to ask for more. This is definitely a great place if you want Korean for lunch!

This is a great go to spot. Our table of 4 got the combo 2 and the tteokbokki. Plenty of food for us! We absolutely love the cheese corn. It's our favorite thing on the menu.
The Tuesday night dinner we went wasn't super crowded. It was rather quiet in the corner we sat in.
The servers are always so friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions in regards to allergies one of our party members had. We'll be back for sure!

We used to come here SO OFTEN for AYCE. Now they have this great cook your own meat alternative! It's Combo B- you still get the same set up with bonchon, an appetizer choice (corn cheese or steamed egg), a soup choice (tofu or bean paste soup) and jab chae and vegetable pancake with raw meats to cook for $50.
Between the SO and I we couldn't finish everything because the portions are generous and it's SO MUCH FOOD.
The combo options are for sure the way to go. I used to feel so wasteful before when we got AYCE and the plate of grilled meat that came with it went partially uneaten. These combos now mean we don't have that guilt follow us. (The grilled meats are in Combo A if that was your favorite part. )
Service alone gets 5 stars. These ladies are always moving so quickly and are so attentive to all of their tables.
See ya again soon Bob Sang!
