Blue Frog's Local 22 serves Chicago's best burgers and beer. We offer local draft beers and have a spectacular menu of items made from local ingredients. At Blue Frog's Local 22, we are focused on using locally sourced foods, meats, produce and beer. We make incredible hamburgers using ingredients from places that aren't too far from our bar, and we like keeping it local. Blue Frog's Local 22 uses Slagel Family Farms meat to make the juiciest, tastiest burgers in town We make a mean pulled pork sandwich and Reuben, among other things. Lest we forget - the amazing full bar at our restaurant! We have 24 draft beers from the Chicago area, about half of which we rotate regularly. We also serve 40 types of bottled beers - over 90% local. When you walk into Blue Frog's Local 22 the first thing you see is our bar, adorned with sports memorabilia and photographs all over the walls. We have 20 TV's displaying major sports all day and night, and karaoke Tues-Sat. Come see us soon!

Loved this spot! I'm still missing this place. This was me and my friends first karaoke hangout and nothing has come close since. It was perfect for big groups of karaoke bar fun and centrally located so very convenient. Miss the Mary Mac DJs and the screaming cat on the karaoke screen. I really hope maybe somehow it will return in the future. One can only hope. Fingers and toes crossed. Pretty please?

Came across this fun dive bar via Yelp - few of my girlfriends and I came in to have drinks. It was easy to locate, Google Map took us right to the location. It had a great vibe especially with the Karaoke. Food was okay but drinks were great - little overpriced but that comes with great experience and good customer service. We had a great time and if it wasn't closed down I would recommended to go at least once.

Wow I am so sad this place closed! It was so quaint, I was hoping to check out their karaoke. But it must have really been a family owned joint because they closed due to the owner retiring.

I now work very close by and it was nice to give this place a try.
Very mellow for lunch time, perhaps because it's just a bit off the beaten path (at least not as much foot traffic as State street).
I had the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup with the South Side grilled cheese and tomato bisque (soup du jour). Everything was very tasty! The sour dough bread was perfectly buttered and grilled with a beautiful crunch. The cheese was a little less than gooey but tasty nevertheless, with a slice of fresh tomato and a hint of basil, I think.
The sandwich was well complimented by the tomato bisque which was both tangy and creamy with a nice kick of garlic.
To top it off, I think they have house made chips which were amazingly delicate and crisp. I wish the plate came with more, but it's probably for the best it didn't. I could eat as many of these as you can put in front of me!
For $8.50 the value is probably better than standard in the River North area, to be honest, but I'm cheap and it always chafes me a bit to pay so much for a sandwich. But the flavor and texture of everything was very satisfying so it was worth it.
The service was really good too, the guy who served me seemed very down to earth and helpful. He knows the food, which is always refreshing to get a little help when you can't quite decide.
I would probably return, but maybe not on a daily basis. I am going to have to learn to brown bag it in this neighborhood or I'm going to go broke eating lunch out every day! - Ray F.New York, NY105637May 13, 2018

Horrible service, and said they wouldn't be doing karaoke anymore after this weekend. Total jerk bartenders. This used to be our favorite karaoke place in Chicago. Tonight and the 20+ people we brought in for karaoke turned out to be an embarrassing situation for us. Complete crap. I don't recommend it.

First class and huge assortment of beers that won't break the bank. Bartenders are the best ! and Fast too! Won't ever go thirsty here. Plus the food is actually pretty good for bar food. The burgers are Awsome even for their small size. Just heard about the Karaoke and came back after 9:00 for some songs... The Karaoke is lots of fun ... They treat you and you feel like a star in every way! .... So I recommend a Friday or Saturday out at Blue Frog's local 22... I'm planning my time back, even now.....WOW....

Came here on a Saturday night for karaoke. Around 9/10PM the place was kind of empty but as the night progressed it got a lot more crowded. This place is very different from other river north places that tend to be more upscale. This is a dive bar with a much more chill vibe. The karaoke experience was fun here! The process was organized with a lady putting your name on the list and calling each singer up. The crowd was very supportive and enthusiastic regardless of your singing abilities haha. I can't comment on the drinks or food here since I didn't order either. Overall not a bad place to check out if you want to do karaoke.

I would like to start off by saying I have been to Blue Frog on numerous occasions and had always had a great experience until the night of March 23rd. Some friends and I were out to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a group of about 10 or 11. We found out ahead of time from a friend who had called earlier that their credit card machine was down so we came prepared with cash. The first issue of the night was it took a very long time for us to even get a waiter. We spoke with multiple people who work for the establishment and no one seemed to know who was covering the area. When a waiter finally came by our table to acknowledge us, he told us he was not the waiter for our section only to later return to cover our group. He then tells us right away that because of the size of our group he couldn't split the check. Now, I understand when groups get over a certain size splitting the check is not an option. The way he said it was a bit rude and our only option of payment was cash so we necessarily wouldn't need to split the check anyhow. The other thing that happened was my friend ordered a burger that was under cooked and she let them know, the burger has been sitting for a little while. When the waiter came by, she informed him and he took the burger. We were surprised when they tried re-cooking the same burger and brought it back out to her.

Kids loved it! Great burger, music and service. It was a slow Monday and it was perfect for this family! They let the kids play on the pool table while we relaxed!!

Just had a horrible experience there on St Patrick's Day. We were trying to get in for drinks and karaoke. 2 people arrived there right before our large party of 9 and we were all told they were over capacity and we had to wait. About 5 people left and then the guy at the door, Clark, let in 12 people that were not in line, saying they were "employees." I don't know why he would make paying patrons wait outside and continue to let in so called employees, that I'm guessing were just friends, while "over capacity." Needless to say we left and decided to spend our money elsewhere.
