Bloomin' Blinds of Contra Costa/Alameda County

Very happy we had Bloomin Blinds do our window covering. They were great to work with and we had a very pleasant experience. Our blinds look great!!

Do NOT use this company. In June the son came out and looked at my three large Hunter Douglas sliding glass door blinds that were not working. He didn't repair them and left and said he would look into it. Nothing happened. I called back and he came back out early August. He took the blinds down and took them down and took them somewhere for repair. It has now been 3 months and I have no idea where my blinds are. I call every couple of weeks to check in and nobody ever calls me back. I have no idea if I will ever get my blinds back. I am so disappointed as these are very expensive. No updates, no timeline, no return phone calls and now my blinds gone. So either they are lost or stolen. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

We had Tom and Steven at Bloomin Blinds of Contre Costa County service our electric blinds. They did an excellent job! We will definitely use them again. They took the time to call the factory for technical advice. They had great ideas for new window coverings too.

Great service, friendly interactions, appreciated their approach to in-home engagement during COVID. We had them re-string a 20 year old wooden blind and its working perfectly now. The technician also recommended that given the weight of our blinds that we try to support them a bit when raising & lowering - very helpful and hadnt thought about that before. It helps save some wear & tear on the string but also the mechanism in the header that bears all the ooommpph of pulling the string.

Nice service and we'll use them again should the need arise!

These guys are phenomenal! We have 30 year old Vista shutters throughout our home. The slats break on them consistently so they're in constant need of repair. Steven has come to fix our shutters multiple times now and has done an excellent job. He's efficient, reliable, personable, courteous and punctual! He's shown up on time (even early on occasion) to get the job done. We're very thankful to have found this company and will be using them for all future repairs, as well as any new window coverings we purchase in the future.

Tom came out in January 2021 and measured for a kitchen shade for my mother. It's September and no shade, NO refund. We asked Tom to refund the money since he couldn't get her order in April. Promised my 89 yr old mother he'd refund her money. NEVER did! Extremely unhappy he would do this to an old woman. Just a horrible way to do business! She paid in full over $568 for 1 window shade - no shade - no refund?? I'll never use Bloomin Blinds again!

When I called Tom in April 4 months after the order he said there was a delay in getting the shade. It wasn't even made yet! All I'm asking after 9 months is to refund my mother. Tom called and talked to my brother on the phone in July and said he was mailing a check. That check never came. He gave you the home address where the shade was going to be installed so you should have it. Just fix this please!

I've used Bloomin Blinds for several years to repair existing shades and shutters in my home. I had a great experience, and recently contacted Tom to order and install new Hunter Douglas motorized shades in my parent's condo. We had an excellent experience!
Tom came by and did a great job with the estimate process, explaining the best shades, color matching, and features that would work for our needs. It's really great to deal with a company which orders, installs, and repairs shades. Tom in super knowledgeable about the entire process from beginning to end. (This is in contrast to other companies I've used who have a sales person come and do the estimate, a separate person do the measurements- usually for an additional cost!, and a separate person to do the install - the lack of communication and expertise across all these people was a poor experience.) Not so with Bloomin Blinds! Having everything done in house by the same people is where they come ahead.

Our blinds got hung up on window crank and would no longer hang straight. Steven from Bloomin Blinds came out and had them repaired in 45 minutes... he was fast, friendly and got the job done. Definitely 5 star service.

They fixed our existing blinds. Showed up on time. Did not try to upsell. Nice family business. Reasonable prices. Very pleased.
