About the Business
Bilodeau's Furniture was opened in 1976 in Seekonk, Massachusetts. The owner Dennis Bilodeau began his career in furniture restoration studying the construction of antiques and honing his craft under the tutelage of several fine craftsmen. When you first visit, you will find Dennis in the workshop restoring furniture. The showroom at Bilodeau's is stocked with many lovely dining and bedroom sets as well as several occasional pieces. Much of the furniture is Amish or Mennonite made and accurately reflects the design and style of early American, Shaker, Colonial and traditional furniture, crafted with many of the same techniques considered standard during the 19th century. These pieces do not enter the showroom without personal inspection by Dennis Bilodeau, a perfectionist, who stakes his reputation on the quality of his products.

I do not recommend this business. Sought a verbal estimate on the phone for some furniture restoration work and Dennis was rude and condescending. When it became clear that I was not going to hire him for the job, he hung up on me.
Take your business elsewhere.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 24, 2017Previous reviewWill never benefit from the self-described furniture restoration gifts Dennis Bilodeau has apparently mastered (his TV ads enticed me to call for an estimate to restore a 20-year old kitchen set).
He was arrogant and rude when I attempted to get a verbal, non-binding estimate "range" over the phone. I told him the make, age and number of pieces in the set, and he stubbornly refused to even provide an estimate range (not a specific price) for the work.
When pressed, he provided a laughable "estimate" between $60-& $2,000...which was incredibly vague and insulting. I offered to provide photos, but he insisted on seeing the set in person for an accurate estimate. I told him this was not an antique which required an appraisal, just a well made set that needed some chair re-gluing and possibly some table top refinishing work. When I finally said, out of frustration, that I would not bring the whole set out to get an estimate, he hung up on me...mid-sentence-disconnected our conversation.
I found a local furniture restoration company that did a fantastic job, for a reasonable price. They were not afraid to give me a verbal quote/range over the phone, and were pleasant to deal with. I will be a return customer.
(If possible, I would not have given this business even 1 star, but had to for the rating to register).
