I recently got some food to go. Though many people have complained about their service / cleanliness, I cannot comment about that, but my experience overall was positive. I was craving some rajasthani food specifically, gatta curry or daal baati churma.
I got the following
Gatta Curry - This dish consists of balls made from chickpea flour in a yogurt based spicy gravy. It may not have been the most authentice , flavor wise, but it tasted good and satisfied my cravings.
Mango Curry - This was a pretty tasty dish as well, with a sweet and tangy taste and unlike any curries you find at Indian restaurants in the Bay Area.
Tawa Rotis - Indian bread. They seemed fresh.
I also ordered 1 matar ( green peas) kachori and 1 daal (lentils) kachori. These are savory fried balls made of wheat flour stuffed with the respective filling. They were both flavorful.
They also seem to have a special take out menu posted outside the restaurant , for various curries and vegetables. They said they serve about 8 oz of the dish for the price.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Poorti S.San Jose, CA7061Jul 25, 2019
It is the Festival of Teej in India and we were craving good old Ghewar. I was absolutely thrilled this place had it.
Alas! For a $17 Malai Ghewar- This was horrible!
The ghewar wasn't even fresh. I understand that even the ones in India aren't freshly fried. But this one was from a stock that is only made ONCE in a week. Anyway, I would have paid $40 for atleast a same day ghewar.
The sugar syrup was extremely sweet to the extent of inducing a migraine headache. The malai was probably the only better thing out of the hard base and deadly sugar syrup. I called to communicate my disappointment to the manager, but they were defensively apologetic and I don't think they quite understood that I know what an authentic ghewar tastes like.
Now I am wary of trying other things here.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Binusha N.Sunnyvale, CA36514Apr 14, 2019
I wish i can rate them MINUS 5 (-5)
I found a hair sticking in one of the mo:mo. And when i said there is a hair and pointed the lady, she said i will throw away this piece i dont know somebody's hair is this and you can eat the remaining piece... Seriously?????? Later again she came and said i can steam a plate momo for you.
I was done!!!!!
Also they charged for all those nasty and hairy foods!
Who in the eart put vujiya in samosas stuffing??
Worst stuffing in samosas, and clearly samosa were microwaved and there was no tenderness. I will never go there again. Should have just choosen Trinetra for samosa chat!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Romil J.Cupertino, CA021Sep 18, 2018
Guys, I am highly disappointed with Bikaner Sweets Chaat cafe. First their food is pathetic and then they do fraud also by adding lower price in the menu and charging more in the bill. On the top of that when you check and bring it to their notice they start giving some
nasty excuse.
Guys you cannot run the cafe like this and escape with this kind of service.
I am attaching the bill here for everyone to know what they are doing and kind of service they give.
Also when i asked them to correct the bill the guy at the counter behaved so badly and gave me $1 back from the donation box . Its not about Money its about ethics and the behavior. I would not be visiting this place anytime in the future for sure. Just making aware all you in case you encounter this.

Bikaner sweets is good for chaats and thalis. We ordered raj kachori, chola batura, Alu tikki and pani puri and the food was good.
I would also recommend Rajasthani thali and lamb Biryani. Decent price.
The service is a bit slow. Not the best service.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Krishna M.Sunnyvale, CA46173238Sep 13, 2017
We went to the counter to order but then person at the register told us they will come and take the order
Only good food in this restaurant is the ROTIs and NAANs. Everything else is cooked badly.
Even the parathas(Aloo and Gobi) are burnt out and tasted bad.
Vada pav is ok.
All curries are made using ready made powders. kashmiri kofta is average.
Served garbage in the name of "kadai paneer". Paneer is not cooked properly. All the other veggies are thrown in randomly and served to us. Attached image.
Jilebi sample that was provided to me had tomato flavor in it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 24, 2015
We accidentally discovered this place last summer. We were looking for a quick bite and this was the nearest place on yelp so thought of giving it a try. We liked their food and their kashmiri kofta is really amazing. We have also tried their tandoori chicken, chaat items, vada pav and all these food items are really amazing + fresh.
I think this is the only place in bay area, where I have had kashmiri kofta. They are little bit similar to malai kofta ;) Their naan's are fresh and made upon order. I have tried their veg and chicken biryani and both tastes great. They have sweets too and I believe you can buy them on per pound basis.
They have limited seating so during peak hours this place can get crowded. Parking is sufficient since this restaurant is located in a big shopping complex. Service is quick but they can increase their staff during peak times. I am going to try their ras-malai soon and hoping that it tastes good :)
- Update -
We visited this place again on 07/19/2015 and loved the food and service. So I am giving them 5 stars. I wish I could give them more stars but 5 is the max :) I had no idea that they had amazing biryani in the town. We loved it so much that we are planning to visit this place again in this same week.
The waiter who took order was very polite and provided a good service. He was prompt in giving us the extra plates or lemons or water. He was prompt to add more items to the order. He smiled every time he got food to our table. Five stars for his service.
We ordered pav bhaji, chicken biryani, and mango lassi. This is one rare place, where you will get amazing chaat items and meat dishes. Highly recommended place for amazing food in town.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Smriti G.San Jose, CA442415Feb 20, 2019
Let me begin the review by saying. Don't go by the small space of this restaurant! The food is really tasty and flavorful.
We went there on Last Monday night. Not very busy because it was late. Loved the gulab jamun and peda which we ordered in dessert. Very authentic as per US standard. Rotis are well cooked. Omg! Daal was amazing, felt like homemade daal with super amazing flavors. We ordered mutter paneer which was nice and not so fancy yet decent taste.
I am definitely going there againHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gunjeeta I.San Jose, CA11660173May 19, 2016
3.5 stars.
Good food, Average service, Non-existent ambience.
Since I study often at the Sunnyvale Library and this place is like Right-Next-Door its difficult to resist the temptation of a yummy Indian snack to feed my exhausted neurons. I am more than sure that my brain forces me to go their more often than my stomach does. Thankful for having this option though, since the Sunnyvale library does not have an adjacent coffee/ snack shop like Cupertino library.
So far I have tried their
Aalu Tikki (Fried Potato Patty served with Chickpeas) - 4 star The potato patties could have been crispier.
Mango Lassi - I don't really go for mango Lassi because I have been disappointed too often now, but they do have a good Mango lassi, its more like drinking a mango flavored srikhand.
Rajkachori- It was yummy, but the shell was a bit too thick, hence it became soggy and chewy rather than just dissolving in the mouth like Rajkachori you would get at a good chat place in Jaipur.
The parking lot is right outside and I would not use their washroom again if I had an option :/Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Aug 8, 2014
If your intention is to eat Rajasthani food this place is 5 stars. It may be tad bit expensive but Rajasthani food is not exactly available everywhere so it is well worth it. Papdi chaat was fantastic
Pani puris served were BAD. And i mean I was given rancid stuff on that. That's why the place gets 3 stars.
Give it a
Shot only for the Rajasthani food side. If you're not a fan of the cuisine you can give this place a easy missHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
