Big O Tires

Being in the automotive industry and finding yourself at the mercy of a competitor....especially while wearing your work shirt is an awkward feeling. I found myself in a situation and urgently needing 4 tires. I had a 4 inch slit in my tire and was losing air. Luckily I was around the corner from Big O Tires. I could tell upon arrival they were closing. I was greeted by Ernesto, and told him that I was in a situation and needed tires ASAP. Right away he asked my tire size and told me what he had available. My mind quickly went to that place where I know I've been guilty of turning someone away just because we were closed. At no point did he tell me no. I for sure wouldn't have made it home and had my daughter with me, so safety was on my mind more than anything. I am so appreciative for his understanding, as well as the young man who installed my tires as he was ready to go home and had a sudden change of plans. He got my tires installed not only with a smile, but darn near in the blink of an eye he was finished. That's the way to take care of people, I didn't feel like a customer or a number or transaction.....I felt like a person and that is the best way to do business. Thank you so much for putting the right people in your business and training them to have compassion first. Thank you so so much guys!

My car was slow to start. Sunday, of course, and nothing is open. I called Big O to ask if they checked batteries. They did. Told me to come right in. Young man checked my battery, told me it needed to be replaced and to check with the dealer to see if it was under warranty. He gave me the printout with my battery info. No charge.

Really helpful in my time of worry. They didn't try to sell me anything I might not need. Very thankful for their help. Thanks, guys!

They are nice enough. Called me when it was done.

My left front bumper is damaged. The guy said something to me when I picked it up.

I was fully aware of this. But when I got home and looked, the bumper is practically pulled off now.

Something happened in the shop.

I called & they said that's how it was.

Yeah.

No it wasn't.

Why do people do stuff like this? If you messed up, why not own it? I've always owned my mistakes. It happens.....

If you've got any damage to your car, I'd be sure to take photos before I left it with them.

And the 29.99 coupon for a partial synthetic oil change? Yeah-they don't even do the partial anymore. It was just under 100 for the oil change.....

Went In because one of my tires had a nail. They said they'd fix it, so I was waiting for 40 minutes. At the end the said it was fixed and I left. A few days later I see/ notice the nail still in my tire because my
tire pressure light came on still. Not sure what they did with my car for those 40 minutes but the specific thing I needed, did not even get fixed, waste of time.

Made an appointment on-line and entered vehicle info for my 2021 Sierra AT4 and specified make and model for for 4 new tires, oil change, brake inspection, and alignment service.
Showed up for my appointment 4 days later, and they don't have my specified tires. Agree to a difference set that have to be transferred in town. Manager explains that they will do the oil change, alignment and brakes while I'm waiting and quotes a 2.5 hour time frame. 3.5 hours later, All that got done was the tires and brakes, still waiting for oil to be delivered because they don't have the specific oil for my vehicle. Unfortunately they drained my oil so I can't leave. Cancelled my alignment service.
I may die here. Roxanne and Jonah, I love and miss you guys.

Ernesto ripped me off! Took it in for an oil change, with a coupon but upcharged me on the oil and added stuff I didn't need. Lesson learned, instead of paying $44 I was charged over $100.

Big O Tires had replaced the rear brakes and drums on my 2011 Honda Civic.
About a week later, I was out driving. I noticed that when I put on the brakes, the dash/brake light would occasionally come on. I checked the brake fluid when I got home. The brake fluid thing was dry, I was shocked. I took my car back to Big O. They bled and replaced the brake fluid at no charge. They told me the reason the brake fluid was empty, was because there was air in the brake line? So, apparently they didn't bleed the brakes when they replaced them. I probably won't be taking my car there again.

I rarely make recommendations but this place deserves one. I've been going here for several years now and they are always friendly, honest, and reasonably priced.

This morning I took my truck in for a brake inspection and the estimated price was over 900 dls. The heavy set guy at the front desk stated I needed new rotors and breaks on my truck that only has 50,000 miles.. I asked one of the employees outside what was wrong with the breaks and he said it was just the breaks and gave me a much cheaper price. Please be careful and shop around before you decide where to go. I just took my truck to pacific tires and was told is just the breaks that need to be replaced at a under half the price of what this places was trying to charge me.... NEVER GOING TO BIG O TIRES again!

In the early evening at the top of the Grapevine on my way up to the Sierras, my oil pressure alert went off. This shop was not only open after other shops had closed, but they quickly checked out my car to confirm there were no oil leaks (while juggling a few other urgent traveler's car repairs), then filled up the oil and gave me extra oil jugs in case I needed them on my trip. (Apparently Jiffy Lube in LA didn't put oil in after they changed my oil 2 days before). When I went to check out they just gave me my keys and didn't charge me. So grateful!

I would highly recommend the Big O Tires on Ming Ave. They always get me right in and truly care about keeping us safe from the heat. And safe when rolling down the road!
