We had gotten estimates from two other companies before Simon came to review requirements for two retaining walls and a drainage system in our backyard. He took the time to accurately understand what we needed and, before leaving, provided us with a written estimate of the work to be done along with a complete cost estimate for this work. This was the most complete and reasonable of the three estimates.

Daniel was our project lead. Throughout the project, he and the office staff at Better Place Remodeling kept us informed on progress and were always responsive to any inquires we had. This level of commitment to customer service and responsiveness is a real rarity these days.

The crew did an amazing job on the two retaining walls and drainage system. The quality was top-notch, and they completed the work in a very timely manner. We are so happy to have discovered Better Place Remodeling and look forward to having them return next year for additional work. Tried to get an estimate from this company... the job isn't huge, but it's definitely involved. They quoted me a min $10,000 per job without even coming out to see the site.. which is their way of padding the budget and overcharging for the small jobs so they can discount the larger jobs... Making the little guy overpay...

How about you actually just give an estimate for what the job would ACTUALLY cost? BUYER BEWARE

I have received 8 estimates to date... this is the ONLY company that had a minimum price, and I went with both small companies and large.

I had an amazing ADU experience with Better place and Clay! From start to finish, Clay was attentive, professional, and a true expert in and ourside the field. made the entire process a breeze and delivered an ADU that exceeded my expectations. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results! If you're considering an ADU project, Clay is the go-to guy. Highly recommend!

Carlos and Nico were my contacts here at Better Place. I cannot state how amazing my experience was. Not only were they not pushy with their suggestions, the suggestions they were recommending were to save me money. Questions such as "how long do I plan on staying?" If less than 3 years, concrete, if forever home, consider pavers. Although I don't plan on staying at my home for longer than 5 years, pavers were ultimately my decision. Ofek, my designer, drew out the vision I wanted and it came out better than what I originally envisioned. BTW, these guys work FAST. The crew finished in less than a week... and to top it off, they CLEANED after EVERY NIGHT. Workers are respectful, kind, and detailed. Not to mention they provide 100% financing if you choose that route.

The team at Better Place Remodeling has been incredible. They were creative in the solutions they provided... And they were not afraid of tackling an unusual type of projects. They worked on schedule, communicated if any delay happened, had regular meetings to make sure the project progressed to our liking. We had several major backyard projects after moving into our new home. This included unclogging and fixing our drainage, complete outdoor kitchen design and build with TV mounting, and turf installation. They managed to get my projects started quickly and did great work with frequent communication so I always knew where we were in the project. Highly recommend Better Place Remodeling!

We had a mid-size hardscaping project in our backyard. Better Place realized the vision we had for our yard. We were happy with the quality of work, price, and communication throughout the project. They even accommodated a last minute change request. We will certainly go back to them for future projects. I'd just suggest adding a walkthrough at the end of the job would be a nice touch.

Remodeled our backyard with our project manager Leo. We renovated in the Spring/Summer 2022 at the height of supply-chain shortages and US economic inflation, so inflated pricing reflected that and we understood. WE VALUE COMMUNICATION OVER PRICE. We've heard disasters from friends who went with remodeling companies that were much more affordable, but had issues with getting supplies, scheduling problems, or bad communication.

Leo had good communication and was on site 2-3x a week while construction workers came Mon-Sat, approx 8am-4pm. We had a deadline, so Leo made sure he had his workers come 6 days/week to complete the project on time. Any issues, questions, or flaws during the ongoing project, Leo made sure to answer and correct pretty quickly. He definitely cares about upholding a good reputation and genuinely cares for your renovation as if it was his own.

We are satisfied of the final product. We have lots more room for our growing family of two kids and two dogs to play and roam around.
