AWESOME Service!!! Quick & easy with results. I had an issue with a car repair. I tried on my own to get my money back to no avail. I contacted the BBB via online filed my complaint and submitted my supporting documents. Within 24 hours BBB responded..."The case has been reviewed and has now been forwarded to the business for their response. This business has until July 10, 2017 to respond to your complaint. You may contact our office after July 10, 2017 to check the status of your complaint." Within 5 days the business contacted me to apologize and agree to my full refund. I cannot say enough good about this FREE service the BBB provides. The online process is simple and quick!!! If you've been wronged or didn't receive the service you paid for by a business do not hesitate to contact the BBB
The BBB is always there as a first step in a dispute. After contacting them issues are usually resolved without going any further.
I had never considered using BBB before but while reading about a company who was giving me the runaround for an item had posessed mentioned using BBB to get their money back so I went on the BBB website to report that company. I was so happy that I did. The lies and excuses the company kept giving me were suddenly quieted when BBB got involved and my money was returned to me.I was surprised and pleased. Years later a company fraudently signed me up to a "lifetime" subscription of their product that I did not agree to and was not trying to give me a refund. I went to Big Brother BBB and it took some back and forth as I anxiously checked my bank account for my refund but finally that money came in. Thank you BBB, I will always recommend.
I filed an online complaint the Hunt & Henriques law firm because they had fraudulently filed a judgement against my wife for a debt owed to Citibank by someone else with the same first name, middle initial and last name. It came back denied because it wasn't in their purview. I called the BBB office directly, and the person I spoke to was extremely polite, looked carefully at my complaint, spoke to the person who denied it and asked some questions of me. At the end she saw that there was indeed a reason for them to handle the complaint, and they are going forward with it. Top notch!
I ordered an item from a company's online store recently. After almost a week, I found out the company was experiencing delays in shipping times. Since I could not receive the item by the time I needed it for, I asked to cancel my order and issue a refund. The company refused to cancel my order and instead tried to offer me store credit for the value of the order. After going back and forth with the company for weeks, contacted BBB and this problem was resolved in days! I used their online platform to submit my complaint. The entire process was simple and hassle free.
I just looked up EBay on their website. Ebay received over 6,000 complaints at a 91% rate and yet this BBB gave them the highest rating of A+. How exactly does that work? Very odd. You have to wonder if a smaller business that received 91% negative reviews would be rewarded with a A+ rating.
The Better Business Bureaus is integral to holding businesses accountable. Essentially, our society works as well as it does thanks to the BBB. This is the second time I've had to file a complaint with the BBB. (Once 20 years ago and the other just last month.) Both times, the businesses chose to honor my request once the BBB became involved. Over the years, I make a habit of looking up a business with the BBB before signing contracts. I've found it to always be a helpful step in vetting businesses. I am so grateful we have the BBB to bridge businesses with customers.
I have used the Better Business Bureau in the past and have had great results. Recently after getting no results from dealing directly with DirectTV. I had to file a complaint against them. I got great results after filing the complaint and my elderly father was NOT charged the $380.00 Early Termination Fee. If you have a valid complaint it is well worth the effort to file a complaint with the BBB!!
I love the BBB. They've helped us solve so many issues with corporations and even when things didn't get resolved we were able to use other resources who did help. You fill out the form online and they review it before sending it off to the corporation. Sure, there is a time constraint however with anything patience is a virtue. There is also an opportunity for you to view what claims have been placed against corporations so you can decide if you would like to do business with them. Not sure why this place has such poor reviews, but if you have determination and motivation there isn't anything you can't accomplish on your own even if you use BBB as a stepping stone. Stephanie smiles big for BBB! 2016 Review #9
Very helpful. If your complaints are justified, and have a reasonable expectation of resolution, the BBB has been super helpful. It's worth your time to file the complaint. The BBB contacts the business and watch the business jump. I've used them 3 times to come to satisfactory resolutions. I usually try contacting the business on my own first, and they are great at shutting you out. But when BBB calls, they suddenly become so responsive. Give it a shot. Marketplace fairness if for everyone, not just big wigs.
Don't waste your time with the Better Business Bureau they are a joke. they take sides on whoever pays them off. The stood up for PayPal because they are probably paying them in order to receive their A+ rating from the BBB. They are a joke, don't waste your time. I went to the Better Business Bureau because I purchase something from China on PayPal and when the item received totally not as described PayPal is making me pay $100 to ship the item back to China and when I went to the Better Business Bureau about it they will do nothing for me because obviously PayPal pays them off you can tell by paypals A+ rating that is how people get their good ratings at the Better Business Bureau they slip dollar bills into their back pocket don't believe anybody's Better Business Bureau rating it is a joke. Eat a big fat one Better Business Bureau and PayPal I'll pay the hundred bucks in order to get my money back but this is ridiculous, somebody sent me someplace and instead of food grade material from China and I have to pay to ship the it back. What a freaking capitalistic world we live in. Climb up others backs to the top stomp there heads into the ground when you get there
The BBB has been very helpful to me in the past to ensure a fair resolution to disputes that I have had with large companies. However, in this case the BBB has sort of left me hanging. I had a dispute that was theoretically resolved (i.e. a written agreement was made), but once the dispute was closed, the company stopped responding and has not paid the portion of the dispute money back to me. I have tried to submit additional information and reopen the claim, but the BBB has not responded either. While it may not necessarily be the case, I have the feeling right now like the BBB was only concerned about "closing the case" instead of actually helping me. I hope that the BBB will step up and re-open my case so I can provide a revision to this poor rating.
Last month I purchased a "Smart TV" from an electronics store. Once home, I plugged in the TV and it's necessary cables. I noticed the picture was extremely distorted. I immediately called the store and was told "As long as you have the original receipt, just bring it in and we'll replace it". The next morning, I brought the the TV back to the store. Upon arrival to the Customer Service Department, I was met by an entourage of store employee's. I was told that in some point the TV was dropped or struck with a blunt object and could not exchange it. I posted negative feed back on Yelp, wrote a letter to the President of the company, contacted the manufacturer, and finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It wasn't until I filed my complaint that finally, I was contacted by the store and my issue was resolved.
Dear BBB I have submitted a complaint with regards to Time Warner and apparently your company refuses to help and refuses to do anything of the sort to resolve an issue with a Cable Company I am very dissatisfied with your e-mail response that I had received and apparently my situation has NOT been resolved by you or YOUR blasted company and have not gotten any other resources from you with regards to my complaint thanks a lot BBB hope your business goes out of business!!!
Better Business Bureau was perfect to me! I used their service twice and I had positive results on both. I was suggested to the service by a friend and honestly I didn't believe it would work. As it was for free, I decided to give it a shot. In a few days I solved a problem that I had already taken more than six months with no success! It is a very good and reliable service with very knowledgeable professionals! They really exist to help us a lot!
I have no trust in this company. A few years ago, I got weeks of harassing sales calls from these guys. They pretended that they were a government agency and threatened consequences for my business if I didn't pay them a fee which would also get me an A grade in their system. The BBB is not a government agency any more than Yelp or any other review site.
I submitted a review to BBB on 4-10-16 and have not heard a word from them. After several days I sent an email asking what's up. I got an answer that it takes 7 days because they have to verify that I am a customer. Today is 4-25-16 and four emails later still no word from them. Complaints are posted right away but positive reviews are just ignored. So much for helping a great tire and auto shop when positive reviews are not posted. After the fifth email, I finally got an answer that my review for North Hollywood Mountain View Tire and Auto Service was posted. They now have an A+ and 5 star rating.
BBB is one of the most influential and useful online consumer advocacy groups. I use it regularly both as a business owner and as a customer.
I was not able to have a dry cleaners business (Park Lane Cleaners/ aka Courtesy Cleaners) in Downey to pay for damages on my suede jacket. Therefore, I filed a complaint with BBB to see if they can intervene on my behalf. For the most part, BBB were good in contacting me. However, there was a time when the owner of the business did not respond; therefore I received an email from BBB that they were going to close the case and state that it is an "Unresolved Case." I was a little disappointed that BBB was not more forth coming in having the business owner pay for the damages. A couple of days later, the owner replied to BBB and said she will pay me for the damages. I originally wanted $100 for the damages, but the business owner only agreed to give me $50, which I agreed upon because this has been such a headache. Overall, I appreciate BBB for intervening for me.
The BBB did an amazing job in helping me resolve an issue with a home warranty company....said company would not even discuss a resolution with me, but once the BBB got involved they immediately resolved the issue to my satisfaction. They are a great advocate and mediator for us consumers....
