Best way to reach me is to call and leave a voice mail. Messaging through YELP may take a few days. I specialize in Somatic Experiencing, Myofascial Release / Craniosacral, and movement for physical and emotional pain and trauma. What else can I say that you might not get from my reviews or website? Hmmm. It's brave and vulnerable to show yourself in need of help. Seeing this makes me care, deeply, for you when you become my client. Care sharpens my attention in sessions and drives my constant interest in continuing education on my own time. I do everything I can - and if my work turns out not to be what you need most to feel better, I figure out where to refer you as soon as that becomes clear. Some of my favorite things to hear from clients have been: "How did you know?" "I never thought of it like that." "This is the first time anyone has reached that pain." "I feel like a person again." "You have a reputation for being ethical." Thanks for reading!

Beth is a kind, wise, and experienced practitioner. She is very responsive to listening to what your body and mind needs and tailoring her treatment of you accordingly. When she works on you, you will feel like you are in good hands. I recommend her highly.

Although I'd seen Beth for myofascial release-work last year and always had a good experience, I'm kinda blown away that I can see her now, during Shelter-in-Place VIRTUALLY.
In March on a socially-distanced nature walk I slipped in mud and fell. When Beth eventually emailed her list that she was offering myofascial release-work over Zoom, I signed up, curious.
It worked. Over Zoom. Twice.
I feel better - about 90% the same as if I'd seen her in person. Some aspects of the session seemed even more effective than in-person.
Don't ask me how.
Non-local entanglement or something physics-explainable.
I'm signing up again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Evelyn G.Oakland, CA57434Sep 11, 2020
I meant to write a review for actual, corporeal Beth ages ago, when I'd seen her several times for massage, so it seems funny that I'm here writing a review for virtual Beth and her online sessions. :) She's a stellar massage therapist [shout out from my neck!], but it's only because a friend of mine was referred to a class of hers and raved that I considered doing an online session - let alone a bunch of them.
Beth is wonderfully present, thoughtful, and intuitive in session - plus she's impressively observant and alert, even via the seemingly-weird webcam medium. She's helped me deal with a lot of non-Covid stuff with her SE work, and, although it's hard to imagine a world in which I'd have chosen remote work over touch therapy, I'm grateful I've had the opportunity to benefit from her abundant hands-free gifts.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ellen O.Alameda, CA527Apr 19, 2022
Beth is amazing. So knowledgeable, professional, and personable. She has helped me tremendously to be in my body, which is really the essence of being here now. I highly recommend her for people who have mystery illnesses and trauma.

Beth Baron lead a workshop on Touch Hunger during this shelter in place time. Beth is an excellent facilitator. She is compassionate, empathetic, wise, and has great pacing. The workshop was very well organized, with thoughtful exercises. When Beth leads exercises, she suggests multiple options to explore, and allows for whatever experiences come up.

Beth was a life saver! I had a wrist injury that just wouldn't go away and no matter what I tried, I could not find relief. I contacted Beth because she was recommended to me and I booked an appointment online. She called me back almost immediately and took the time to talk to me about the history of my injury and what I had tried which I thought was really sweet and encouraging. She seemed to have a genuine interest in all the details and to create a catered approach to me as an individual which I deeply appreciated.
My session with her blew my mind because she used a modality that actually gave my wrist its first sense of relief in many months. She described to me what she was doing and then gave me a way that I could work on myself to further heal the injury on my own. I went to her a few more times to just really give my wrist the attention I felt it needed and then I felt completely cured after that! I still use the technique she gave me from time to time and it continues to help whenever I have a period of overuse. I highly recommend her! Thanks for all your help Beth!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Leah P.CO, CO52431Apr 14, 2017

Beth Baron is a wonderful health practitioner.
I first saw her about 10 years ago when I was suffering from a tennis elbow type of condition. I am a carpenter and couldn't even swing my hammer. She worked with me diligently mostly using Myofascial massage. She is kind, studious, and a good listener and detective in pinpointing pain and it's origin. She showed me stretches and exercises I could do on my own as well as helping me find other positions and ways of handling my tools because I couldn't afford to miss work. Beth was just great at a time when I was afraid I'd lose my job. Within 6 months I had a full range of motion and after a year, I never experienced that pain again. And I am still swinging my hammer!
I also go to her for general bodywork when I can. She's very disciplined, educated and intuitive about the body and I have learned a lot from her.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Don G.Oakland, CA361547Nov 14, 2007
Beth Baron is a remarkably talented body worker to whom I have referred a number of my acupuncture clients. We are blessed to have dozens of good massage therapists in the Bay Area, but finding one who tunes in as deeply as Beth does and who knows her trade so thoroughly ... well, it's rare enough that Beth now knows many of my regular clients as well as I do. She also practices a breadth of body-work styles, which allows her to find the right mode for each of her clients, from those who need serious alignment/pain relief to those who just want to treat themselves to a break.
I trust Beth with myself, my family, and my clients, and I fully recommend you give her a try yourself. If my crew is any indication, then you're guaranteed to come away calmer, happier, and more at ease within your own skin. Do yourself that favor!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 1, 2011Updated review
I absolutely agree with Christine B. I would give Beth 10 stars if I could. She is AMAZING and soo incredibly knowledgeable. I've been to 2 chiropractors and a physical therapist at kaiser and no one has been able to help my injuries except Beth. I've seen her twice now and both times she's erased my injuries in one session. If you have an injury I would highly recommend going to see her before anyone else.
