Excellent. Ordered a large hawaiian thin crust and it was oh so tasty! Also, had it delivered and it arrived quicker than expected! We all loved it
What a joke a Salad is just lettuce here and barely there toppings , Ivo refused a refund or to send a new salad. The cheesesteak was ok
I ordered a cheese pizza. I had a few slices and noticed that there were black curly hairs in the dough. YUCK. I called the restaurant to ask for a refund. They wouldn't refund me because I had "no proof". I don't have black curly hair. I was the only person eating the pizza. I even snapped a photo of it on my phone.
Besta is amazing. Not once have i been disappointed by the delivery or the pickup from here. The prices are good and it tastes good. 9/10.
The food was delicious, but the service was incredible! The folks at Besta Pizza are amazing. We were in the middle of a huge storm, and they let us stay and eat in (even though it is a take-out place) to wait out the storm. They made sure we were comfortable and took great care of us! They were a fabulous port in the storm! Again, the food was delicious, too!!
I NEVER negative review anyone/ But I called them before hand and gave them the opportunity to fix this and they didn't! Very disappointed The food is good! Sometimes is comes cold but it's good !!! Issue is it may take u 2 or 3 hours for delivery! They say 30 mins and its 2.5 hours- beware!! Everyone is awesome and the food is great but timeline is terrible the they don't care about what you think- just beware
This place is super quick and super delicious. Easily my favorite pizza place to order delivery from...and I've tried quite a few around here.
Great pizza and subs! The pizza is fresh and the crust is perfect. The cheesesteak and italian subs are a favorite of ours. This is a great neighborhood place!
After living about 1/4 mile from Besta Pizza for 8 years, I decided to try the place out. I ordered the Capri based on some reviews. It's absolutely delicious!!!! It's a lot better fresh vs. a day later though. The pizza didn't taste overly oily or buttery either. One warning though - they definitely don't hold back on the garlic on the Capri Pizza!!!!! The next time I'm craving pizza, it'll be a difficult decision between Besta and Italian Pizza Kitchen for me. Although I think Besta is slightly cheaper, so I may go for Besta. I ordered the chicken wings and they were ok. I'll probably pass on them next time.
I really, really love the chicken parm sub. Their chicken cheeseteaks are also REALLY tasty. The pizza is good, but it's more of a greek style pizza than a classic thin crust NY style. If you go, get a sub/hoagie (whatever you call it!)
These guys always make great pizza. I'm glad they are in the area....they are quick and the dough is pretty darn good...plus they always come in hand when I'm too lazy to cook.
Seemingly at a disadvantage being located adjacent to Comet Pizza, this is a bit of an oddball on the block. A quintessential local takeout/delivery that has friendly staff and pizza specials that are quite reasonable. We ordered the Sicilian which is all veggie and came with large chunks of tomato and onion, which a good dose of garlic. Despite a slightly undercooked crust, you get exactly what you order. A fresh taste reminiscent of something you might make at home. I like. This is a great backup spot in the neighborhood. check it out, it's worth a look.
I have never had a bad meal at Besta! We order at least once a week. They have authentic fresh ingredients, and the bread is amazing on their subs too! Best place to get a pizza in the Friendship Heights/ Cleveland Park area.
Besta has pretty good pizza with pretty mediocre service. I keep coming back because it has the best pizza for delivery around. If you compare it to Comet which is right next door, Besta isn't even in the same room. But when you're in a jam and just need to order a pie, Besta will do. I say the service is mediocre because every time I call to place the order, it is always a difficult and annoying process. Almost always the person answers the line like they are pissed off at me. I feel like I'm inconveniencing them when I call! They always say "Hold on" and make me wait sometimes up to 5 minutes to place my order. I finally get through, and the guy on the line is completely unfamiliar with the menu. I finally place my order and I feel like I ran a marathon or something. That's where the problems end. The pizza comes relatively quickly. The cheese is gooey and delicious. I'm a fan, I just want them to have better customer service. Also, I think the prices are a bit expensive for what you're getting.
I had Besta Pizza at a friend's house and wasn't that impressed. The online ordering (through GrubHub) was easy enough, but the pizza quality didn't seem to match the prices. The margherita pizza didn't have whole mozzarella pizza like advertised - it just seemed like a normal cheese pizza with some spices. It was fine for a cheese pizza, but I wouldn't choose it over any of the other choices in the area....especially for the price. I'd probably go to Domino's instead. The other pizza was a cheese pizza with onions and spinach. This one was ok as well (the spinach was better than I expected), but again - not worth the price and nothing I'd order again. Also, the medium pizzas seemed pretty small to me.
I thought it could have been just how much I was craving pizza the first time I ordered their garlic pizza and devoured most of it, but nope! Repeat success. And the spinach pizza uses full spinach leaves as opposed to chopped, possibly frozen spinach. Delivery was a little behind the first time I ordered, but the 2nd time was prompt. I'll definitely be ordering from here again.
Besta pizza isn't the BEST pizza I've ever had, but it's pretty darn good. I went there as part of my day's adventures as I mosied on over to Politics & Prose, which I'd been meaning to check out for a while. Besta Pizza is only a half a block away from Politics & Prose and I'd heard about this place before so I decided to give it a try. I was a little disappointed upon walking in to find that the place is take-out only and has no seating at all. I was also disappointed when I found out that the place does not serve individual slices of pizza, but rather serves boxes of pizza. Nevertheless, these considerations did not daunt me or dissuade me from buying a pizza just to try this place out. I ordered a personal, albeit still big, pizza. I got two toppings: tomato and spinach. I was a little sad that each extra topping was going to be $1 extra, including the garlic! In the end, I decided to get a pizza with two toppings and it came out to $7.25 which is really not bad at all considering the size of the pizza. The guy at the cashier was also very nice and said he would sprinkle in some extra garlic for me free of charge. Very good service! I sat there for about 10 minutes while the pizza got ready but it was a pretty quick wait. All in all i found the service to be excellent and friendly and accommodating and super quick! I ate a couple slices of my pizza as I sat in the cafe at Politics & Prose and saved the rest for dinner. The pizza tasted GOOD! Definitely not the best I've ever had, but it was pretty darn good and it was super fresh and melted in my mouth. I'd definitely go back to Besta pizza - er, rather, order pizza from them. I'm sure their delivery is great and I'd love to order more pizza for friends to try.
Very fast and very tasty. Upon moving to this neighborhood, I sadly found out that Pizza Movers doesn't deliver this far (major boooo). Needing a new pizza service, I gave Besta Pizza a try. I called up and ordered a large pie with sausage and pepperoni. I was told it would be $11.84 and be ready in ten minutes. I got there about fifteen minutes later to a pizza waiting for me. There is no room to sit and eat there, so if you're picking up and not getting delivery, you will only be able to pick up. It's a tiny standing area which makes for some awkward moments when picking out a 2-liter bottle of soda. I was also able to snag a menu which features coupons on specials. I was a bit disappointed at the size of the pizza but the slices were very filling. I normally can eat three slices easily but I probably didn't need a second slice to feel full. The crust and toppings all were delicious. Minus one star because their cheese isn't as high quality as Pizza Movers. Still good quality but nothing that blew my mind.
The pizza was fine one day. Two days later it was just OK. The first day the staff was nice and friendly, the second not so much. You can come here for something that you will likely finish. Prices are confusing. I never know how much is going to be. Though prices are always fair.
Order took almost two hours to arrive. We ordered pizza and wings. The pizza was decent, but cold (had to re-heat in the oven), and the wings we ordered spiced "hot" and had no flavoring at all (just plain wings) and they didn't include dressing. For cold average pizza, and the wrong order of wings with missing sauce - for almost 2 hours delivery... I would definitely not recommend this place for order.
