Everyone should have Jerry DJ their event!!! First I must talk about how much of an awesome and professional man he is. My fiancé and I planned a huge destination wedding weekend event where about 50 family and friends flew to San Diego. The wedding was on Sunday and I learned on Saturday morning at 5:30am that my DJ cancelled on me due to his unprofessionalism. I found Jerry's profile on The Knot and took a chance to see if he was available. I sent him in an email at 6:00am and by 6:15 he responded.

Our wedding venue was a unique one. We got married on the Adventuress Luxury Catamaran for a unique experience. Like with all of vendors we used for the wedding, he had not performed on a yacht and was not sure how to make this work. But because of the high integrity Jerry has he was determined to make this work.

So now the music!!! OMG amazing does not even describe it! Jerry had that boat ROCKIN! I told Jerry I wanted the atmosphere to be a party on the boat which just happened to have a wedding kick it off and he gave us just that! The guests ranged from 70-40 year olds and from Philly, New Orleans, Houston, and California. He was able to find the perfect mix of music for all and we did not stop dancing all night!!! Even my husband danced and he NEVER dances. Everyone commented on how great the music was and the vibe on boat.

Thank you Jerry from the bottom of our hearts for saving my wedding and making it even better that we planned for!

My fiancee and I were very sorry to hear that DJ Jerry Beck had passed away. In our brief conversations with him he seemed nice and caring. Our issues are with how (like another reviewer mentioned) our deposit has been handled.

We booked Jerry in June 2023 for our wedding in 2024. That's when we also paid our $500 deposit. We had no reason to be in contact with Jerry since then until I decided to reach out in a followup email earlier this year. I thought it was unusual after not hearing back from him, so that's when I started to search online and found out about his passing.

During those months of quiet Jerry should've reached out to let us know that he would be unable to perform at our wedding. I don't know the details of his illness but I saw that he still had the capabilities to do so. He was being treated for weeks if not months. Instead, we were left high and dry, and I had to find out for myself.

My fiancee and I were able to book a last minute DJ elsewhere, but we're still hoping at the very least that one of his business associates or family would work with us to return our deposit. The situation is unfortunate, but also feels disingenuous, or at the very least thoughtless.

We paid $500 for a DJ for a middle school dance. The dance had to be rescheduled for a later date and we were told our $500 would be applied for the DJ in the future. When we tried to reschedule, the DJ had health issues and could not perform, so Charli indicated a refund would be issued to our school foundation. The refund was not issued, despite multiple follow up phone calls, emails and PaylPal refund requests. Our calls and emails were also never returned.

Omg I can't say enough about Jerry and his DJ skills!! I hired him for my wedding on 11/11/22 at the Bali Hai and from the time I hired him he was very professional and made sure to discuss my vision of the music for my wedding from the first conversation. I remember I told him my dad loved the BeeGees (my dad passed away 15 years ago) and Jerry played a BeeGees song after our first dance it really meant a lot to me. Plus he seriously read my crowd at the wedding by playing the perfect songs and even came out to the dance floor to show us a dance . So many times I would be talking to different guests and family members and would hear a special song play and I wanted to yell out to Jerry "Omg I love this song!! " lol but didn't want to be rude to my guest haha ... Jerry was also interactive with the crowd and had us play a game to win the flower centerpieces - everyone was laughing and having a great time! So many people came up to me after the wedding telling me how nice my dj was and how he played such great music!! I'm sooo thankful for him and can't recommend him enough! Plus Jerry played all the main songs perfectly at the right timing! - the garder song, bouquet toss , introduction song , cake cutting song and walk down isle song. Plus he even played the country song I wanted as my last song of the night I am just over the moon at how everything turned out that day and how smoothly everything went and a lot of it was because of Jerry. He gave me good suggestions prior to my wedding which I loved I seriously could go on and on. I'll forever be thankful to you Jerry for making my day so magical

DJ Jerry Beck is a master of his craft and a true gentleman. From start to finish he took care of our entertainment needs for our wedding in a professional and stress free manner. He took a huge load off of our shoulders, and made the night an amazing experience. We had a lot of moving parts to our ceremony: live music, custom thank you speeches, and a very mixed crowd. Jerry showed up, found the vibe and delivered! The dance floor was hopping from beginning to end, and he was so calm and cool though it all we never had to worry about anything. Great service from a great guy. Book him if you can get him!

We saw Jerry deejaying at a bridal event and knew immediately we wanted him for our wedding. Hire him. Just do it. Jerry was great! Everything was smooth and he played our favorite jams-- some cumbia, African, and Latin dance music. He has years of experience and has his craft down pretty solid. You will not be disappointed. When we had to postpone due to the pandemic, he worked with us for our new wedding date without any drama. Thanks again, Jerry, for everything!

My husband and I had a fun wedding at the San Diego County Fair, and Jerry was our DJ! The day we met him he was upbeat, friendly, and his main goal was to make us happy with the music & DJ services. He was very open to our song choices, and followed up prior to our big day to make sure everything was good. He also has a great online catalog of his music - which made it super easy to find the songs we were looking for, preview them to make sure it was the version we liked, and to see what was possible! He has it set up so you can add "must plays," "like," and "don't play," which was very organized and as a bride I loved how easy it was and how much it took off my plate! Thank you, Jerry! You are awesome!

Jerry Beck did an amazing job for my cousins wedding. He was right "on point" throughput the entire evening. If you want your event to be a success than Jerry Beck is the way to go!! He is worth the investment. We all know food and music are most important when pleasing a crowd. Jerry is exceptional!

I asked Jerry to DJ a roller skate Birthday party in Mission Beach and he delivered way beyond any expectations. Jerry knows how to move the mind, the spirit, and the body with his special mix magic. He is a sound scientist of the highest degree (as well as an amazing skater I might add!). His DJ set was a seamless blend of bliss. All the guests and I were floored, as were the passers by. You couldn't kill the amazing vibe. Timely and extremely detail oriented. One of the most professional I've ever experienced. This was the first time I've ever planned an event of this type, and was slightly stressed with all the prep and uncertainties, but Jerry worked with us and chased that all away so it was an incredibly fun night we will never forget!

Wow! What can I say? Becks entertainment is truly awesome! I hired him for my sons Bar Mitzvah and he made the event amazing!!! He had games for the kids. Great music for the adults and the kids. He made everything so fun !!! If you have an event this is the way to go. Thank you so much you made our party so special!!!!!
