Q:
Did Bazaar Cafe close? I'd be so sad to hear that if it's true.
A:
It's temporary, new owners. They told me they'd be reopening near the end of October...so should be anytime now!

Cute cafe with a charming garden. I love the variety of plants and the knitted decor. Great place to relax with friends.
Coffee is great here and I believe you can buy the beans too. I really enjoyed the biscuit with the butter.
Servers come out to the garden if you're seated in the back and also take dishes back. Better service than expected for a cafe! Remember to tip :)

LOVED THIS LITTLE GEM!!!
My friend's cat got me a gift certificate here for watching her while her owner was away on vacation. Go Irma, you know what I like - and that is BISCUITS. (in the carb, and "kitty massage" formats)
Hubbs and I came here for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast biscuit with egg and hubby got the curry biscuit. We also got a sesame match mini bundt.
Let's start with what a cute place this is, inside and the courtyard. Also how sweet and welcoming the staff is - It truly feels like a little neighborhood hangout. They have live music some nights - and I want to come back and check that out.
My breakfast buscuit was delicious, but now I want to come back and just try a biscuit warmed with only butter, I bet that is great! They also have a small selection of rotating sweet and savory baked goods, all made in house.
Hubbs liked his biscuit (with curry) too - it could have been hotter (but that kinda proved that they do NOT use a microwave, which would have ruined the biscuits texture). Hubbs also says the coffee was great - and that is praise he gives rarely .
Another person at a table had grilled cheese and soup - HUGE and looked awesome!!!

A Richmond District gem.
I typically go for places with speciality drinks which this place doesn't have -- it's just a regular coffee/tea/pastry menu, however the ambiance really makes this place special.
Lots of seating but tight so it feels cozy -- huge garden outside to get some fresh air or take work breaks. Excellent option for people who need to study or get work done.
I went on a Friday at noon so every seat was filled but it aired out and was empty by 2. Looking forward to coming back and checking out what's at night! Great service as well.

Stopped by to shelter from the rain and stayed for the coffee and pastries. It's a cute little cafe with a lot of working space, which is really nice. I believe they hold events quite regularly too. Service was great. Will definitely enter my rotation of cafes in SF.

This is one of the few places left in San Francisco with an open mic night for music. Cozy and intimate on a chilly foggy night.
I had a glass of Merlot and a wedge of broccoli/cheddar quiche. Glass of wine was pleasant and the quiche delicious.
Definitely a place I will come back to you when visiting friends in the neighborhoodHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - N M.Palo Alto, CA1614Sep 17, 2023
Happy 25th birthday to Bazaar cafe. Walked into this unassuming coffee shop to find it buzzing with life! This weekend, they celebrated their 25th birthday, and there is a reason they have been around for a while.
Ordered one drink, the table mountain mist:
This is a rooibos tea latte with vanilla and smoked paprika brown sugar. The paprika was yummy and kind of sugary. Very unique and sweet treat.
Didn't get any food but it looked delicious. Definitely planning to head back and try one of their biscuits.
It looks like they also have live music and such frequently. They have a lovely little garden in the back as well as great study spots inside. I'll be heading back to Bazaar cafe soon to try more!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - John S.San Francisco, CA1524Mar 1, 2024Updated review
Because I've been a long-time customer and I love having places like this in our neighborhoods, to a certain extent I blindly support this place. And today was one of those days, except today I bought one of their biscuits...for my dessert. They were fresh out of the oven and it was difficult not to eat it but I took it home with the idea that it would be my dessert so I held off and held off. But I just had it for dessert (with the honey butter they provide) and it was SFG!!

Whether you're inside or in the garden area, this joint is an oasis in San Francisco with a great neighborhood vibe.
Their food and drinks are great. In particular their buttermilk malt biscuits and smoky sandwiches are super tasty.
The owner and staff are really, really nice and welcoming people.
The Bazaar Cafe is a tucked away gem in the city. - 15852Oct 14, 2023
Cozy little coffee shop! Great atmosphere with games and a homey feeling. Workers were very nice and chatty. We got a mocha and dirty chai. They were good! Close to get to on a flat street that's not too busy

My favorite neighborhood cafe. I love going here to grab a decaf espresso drink and biscuit. If you ever stop by here, I recommend taking to time to enjoy your drink in the shop. There's lots of cozy seating, you can get your coffee & tea in a real cup, and I promise you'll regret if you don't order a biscuit to go along with your drink! The staff is the best!!
