Absolutely horrible!!!! I preorder a book, that I was told I would get notified when the book arrived. 1st problem is i never received a call. 2nd when i came in they had the book, but now it was 40% more. When i told the rep yo adjust the price to what it was when I ordered it, she told me she couldnt!!! When I asked for the manager, she said she was the manager, at which point I walked out of the store, and I'll never buy another book here again!!!!

This is just an updated review to post some pictures for Barnes & Noble Victorville and also comment on their cafe area.
After picking up a couple books for my youngest daughter, we got a coupon for Buy One Cookie Get Another Cookie 50% Off. So why not? We both love cookies. Their cookies were not cheap... $3.50 each. They are a tad bigger than your average Joe cookie LOL, but still. Anyway, that didn't stop us from getting 2 of their cookies. We got 1 Oatmeal Raisin Cookie and 1 Salted Caramel Cookie. Both cookies were really good. The Oatmeal Raisin Cookie could be softer though.
Cafe staff was okay. They weren't the most smiley though. That's okay... I guess it all depends on the person and mood at the moment. We ended up paying $5.25 for both cookies. We could have gotten 1 or 2 bags of Chips Ahoy at that price, but hey, you gotta pay the price for premier cookies... name brand will cost you LOL!
One last thing, I am glad books are still being published for the public and purchased by consumers for their reading enjoyment. I recently ordered online the Be Here Now book by Ram Dass. It was a fairly easy online ordering process. Once the order was ready for pick-up, I got an email or text. Once I got to the store, I just went to the front cashier area and gave them my name and I got my book. Yeah!
Staff was friendly and pleasant. Store was very clean and organized. They have an area where you can sit and hang out. It's kinda nice to chill at the bookstore. Hey, you never know if you'll meet the love of your life at one of them. Who knows... someone who has the same interest in books as you... what better place LOL. Mine is still on his way towards me... meet me at B&N or meet me at the lavender fields LOL.

Salesperson helped me with my selection. They did not have the book I wanted in the store and offered to order it and send it to me or I could pick it up in the store.

I would like to start by saying, I love Barnes & Noble!
We recently moved to Hesperia and was delighted that there was one not too far from us. My daughter and I went there this past week to shop and grab drinks. I was walking to the counter to check out when I noticed there was nobody there. I looked around and saw a guy a few feet away. He didn't smile, didn't say hi, just pointed to the counter. I'm like well, okay then. No hi, welcome, whatever kind of greeting. He asked if I wanted a bag for 10 cents, I said yes. He finished up, put my receipt in the book and gave me my book without the bag. I lingered to see if he will remember, he probably realized it and said oh and took my book back and put it in a bag. His name is Ramiro and I feel that he could've been nice, welcoming. I hesitated posting this because I normally don't leave bad reviews but yesterday Laura. s gave me unacceptable customer service. I checked out a few books from the self help section and she looked at one of the books (the 80/80 marriage) as she checked me out and made a sour face, re read the title, and pretended to get chills from reading the title then proceed to say "sounds horrible". I don't think it's appropriate for an employee to make negative comments on what customers are purchasing especially not a self help book, like really. . Who are you to judge Laura? I hope you learn to respect customers and their purchases. Other than that, love this place, it's clean, wide selection of books, and I love the baristas at this cafè.

Visited today and discovered that the Cafe was open! Any purchases today in your receipt you get a free cookie with a purchase of grande! Of course I could not pass up this opportunity! Carmen assisted me and made the most delicious Dragon Tea with lemonade and apple juice! On top she was exceptionally nice and accommodating!

No purchases today. I love browsing this store though and am always impressed with the large selection of everything you can imagine. Books, planners, journal's, etc. On today's visit they were bringing out the Christmas cards!

At the victorville mall, on monday 9/04/23 at about 6:10pm, my wife and i went to purchase coffee inside the Barnes & Noble book store, which displayed Starbucks logos throughout the coffee shop. There was a black girl who took our order, the only other way i know to describe her is she had a NOSE RING connecting both nostriles. she never gave a smile and when i asked her if she could tell me how much $ was in the starbucks card, she raised her eyebrows and turned her eyes to her extreme upper right and said, "we dont accept those cards here" with such an arrogant tone and displayed such arrogance in her facial expression, i felt this waive of disdain emitging from her, it was sad. i refuse to jump to the conclusion that it was a racial hatred she was displaying,because thats the type of ignorance racist idiots live by. she is clearly a very unhappy worker. maybe she feels cheated in life but she should not take it out on people surrounding her. i think she needs a hug.

I love how you can order online and have your book ready for pick up. One note of caution however is that they may still have the book you're looking for on the shelf after the computer states that it isn't in stock. It isn't the store clerk's fault since they are going by what their screen says. Plus if they're super busy, it's all good. Either way, you'll get your book and everything will be fine.
I know I'll be back. I love books too much!!

Well went and bought what I thought was a vinyl because absolutely no where does it state that it's a dvd and it was with the vinyls. Called and asked if I could return it even for store credit and they had asked if I opened it which of course I did that's how I found out it was a dvd no point in lying. Manager goes on to tell me I can only exchange it for the exact same product. Have t bought from Barnes & noble before and was not told about the return policy when I checked out. Horrible.
