Really love coming to Barnes & Noble especially on a cold and rainy day.
The store is huge and has a great selection of books, games, gifts and even vinyls.
The staff is nice and happy to help.
It also has a Starbucks on the top floor.
I'm really glad it's part of the Americana in Glendale.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 30, 20241 check-in
It has been many years since I've last came here to check out the books. Park at the Glendale Galleria and walk out the doors near Victoria's Secret and cross the street.
The bookstore is as great as I remembered. There are three floors and a large variety of books with many seating. Manga is now on the first floor at the left corner, which is usually my go-to section.
I was at the third floor, and I see that they need to clean those dirty windows!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 11, 20241 check-in
In a world increasingly dominated by e-readers and online shopping, Barnes & Noble in the Glendale Americana offers a refreshing escape for bibliophiles.
This Barnes & Noble is a sprawling two-story affair, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to curl up with a good book.
Lots of comfy armchairs and inviting nooks around the store, perfect for curling up with a good book. It's a haven to lose yourself in a story and disconnect from the digital world.
Barnes & Noble offers not just books but also a curated selection of gifts, stationery, and bookish merchandise. It's a great place to find unique presents.
And the best thing I love about this store, I watch all the festivities in the Americana from the second floor. It's the best view to see everything that's happening in the courtyard and fountain.
However, staffing seemed minimal, making it challenging to find assistance with specific book searches or recommendations.Helpful 13Thanks 2Love this 8Oh no 0 - Sep 5, 2023
Located at the Americana in Glendale, this is one of the few brick and mortar Barnes & Nobles left. The space is nice and airy, but surprisingly lack in selection for the size. The only DVDs or Blu-rays were Criterion collection.
There's a coffee shop, outdoor seating and the restroom on the third floor. The restroom is a bit of a horror show. The A/C was clutch in this heat wave.
A nice place to cool off in this outdoor mall and maybe use the restroom and peruse some books/magazines.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 25, 2023
My family was recently in the area and dropped by this location of Barnes & Noble.
It was the first time we've ever visited this location.
It's a very tall location; the escalators will play a big role here and for us the elevator also because we had our little one in a stroller...my biggest criticism of the location is the small (and slow) elevator. Particularly with many other families visiting (with strollers it was a long wait to move between floors).
That said, the store seemed well organized to me...the cafe being in the top floor with lots of customer service people on the various floors to answer questions ( at least during our visit).
My oldest spent a long time in the Anime section (first floor) and gave its selection and inventory an approving thumbs up.
This location has the look and feel of similar B n N and the fact it was full of people shopping for books made our day!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 20, 2023
I love seeing occupied bookstores and people reading in their little designated nooks. Parked at the Target and came here to browse books. It's a two-story store, so there were plenty of books to look at.

I was helped out by Kenzie. She was the best! She was so sweet and was so friendly! I loved this store, its big and has 3 floors. The whole building is very organized and super clean. Expect for it to be busy since the area is a tourist spot and almost always busy during store hours. The wait in line at night was so worth it because the books were worth the purchase.

3 stories of stories!
Lots of selection of things and a fun place to walk around with kids or adults.
There is a Starbucks on the 3rd floor but it's always crowded.
I love their magazine collection as well.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 341249493Dec 11, 2023
Great service and massive store! I think my issues with this store is that it doesn't give off any book store vibes. It's so so busy that it feels like people are just walking through talking and having conversations. Not the stores fault obviously just a location thing. It was beautiful getting to see the holiday lights from inside the store on the third floor though!

There aren't too many Barnes & Noble around compared to before, and I didn't expect to be interested in reading again. However, I was drawn further in when I discovered that the New York Time's Best seller this year was "Lessons in Chemistry" - should preface that chemistry interests me.
Other than the sign, I couldn't find the book and unsurprisingly, I had to walk through THREE stories - no pun intended - to finally find "Lesson in Chemistry" with beautiful, blue-bordered pages. In addition to a variety of reading categories - some which I had never even thought of - I liked the subtle advertising as shown in the photos. Some advertising was shamefully accurate while the others were creatively executed such as "blind date with a book."
With more screen time and less book time, reading physical books may start to be a thing of the past. However, I appreciate that Barnes & Noble is doing what they can to retain interest in physical books. Discovering a Starbuck's on the third floor was also pleasant, since nothing beats a drink paired with a book on the side.
What's more? I was pleased to see that checkout lines were lengthy and that they were a popular store even alongside names such as Lululemon, Tesla, Samsung, etc. I will definitely be returning with more time to check out the rest of their selection.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
