We had amazing service!!! The bartender was seriously amazing! We really had a great time!!! We were so happy the weather and currents allowed us to go to the island of Culbrita! This was our main reason for booking the tour and weather permitted us to see it! The slide was a highlight! We had a blast!

My mother in law ended up getting very sick at the end and they were so sweet and so helpful and got us a golf cart to parking and made sure
We were good to go! We were so grateful!

My daughter and I participated in Keishya's kayaking trip around Monkey Island out of Humucao Puerto Rico. What a perfect morning. We kayaked, in doubles out to and around Monkey Island. The way out was over crystal clear waters and sea grass beds with fish , starfish, and turtles (we didn't see turtles). We saw a lot of monkeys. Close enough to see them romping around, fighting, playing, um, maybe engaging in a little morning delight :-). But not close enough to interfere. Keishya is knowledgeable about the area and the history of the island; she was a delightful and engaging tour guide. She keeps her tours small so that she can maintain safety and personal attention. In fact, one in our party was nervous about kayaking and had a wonderful and safe time. If you want something "different" but a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend this outing!!!!

We stayed at amazing guest houses in Puerto Rico. I have to admit I didn't know what we were getting into and so I didn't have any expectations since my friend planned our trip. My God was I surprised. This place is amazing. Bob and Keishya are excellent hosts and simply amazing resources. If yo u are looking for a place to hang your hat, this place is superb! As an added bonus we opted for a hand gliding venture as well kayaking / snorkeling - monkey viewing trip with Bob and Keishya -- talk about paradise. I'll definitely be going back. If you are in Puerto Rico, you are nuts if you do not stay here and connect with them.

So happy! I wish I could give you all more stars.

Great place to stay. Keishya is a friendly and helpful host. She leads a great kayak tour of Monkey Island that I highly recommend. So, stay at the place and do the tour, you won't regret it. Her place has a pool, too.

We went kayaking to Monkey Island and snorkeling with Bob today. It was such a fun day! Bob was full of info about the area and even indulged me in questions about Puerto Rican outlook on The USA, etc.

He was very attentive to each kayaker. This was my first time snorkeling and it was awesome! However, I ended up panicked at one point and made a rookie mistake of breathing through my nose and choking up. I ripped my mask off and swam toward where I thought more shallow water was. Suddenly, Bob was next to me calmly showing me where to go so I could stand up. He made sure I was okay, that I wasn't too freaked out and gave me tips to prevent panic. I was so grateful that he was watching out. I got my bearings and went back to snorkeling and had a great time!

I recommend this excursion to anyone traveling to Puerto Rico. It's fun and chill at the same time. We were able to experience so much: kayaking on the ocean, viewing and swimming with ocean life, watching monkeys and learning about the island. We loved it!

      First to Review

For our very first night ever in Puerto Rico, my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to stay at Barefoot Travelers guest house. This little guest house is located in a gated subdivision with a private beach on the ocean.

The accommodations were very pleasant (we took the master bedroom with an attached bath), but the gracious hosting was what made the trip. Keishya greeted us warmly and introduced us to the house dogs (all adorable rescues). Bob called us out early in the evening so that we didn't miss out on watching beautiful thunderstorms roll in from offshore. He also brought us an amazingly fresh avocado as a late-night snack.

Another highlight of the guest house is the fabulous tiled pool out back. Since we were the only guests that night, we had it all to ourselves, and it was truly the most luxurious swimming experience I've ever enjoyed.

Bob and Keishya also run a handgliding and kayaking guidance. If you stay at the guest house, it would be absurd not to also do a little adventuring, but that's for another review!

Went on the morning tour with Keishya, she was very informative about the island and quite witty. I recommend doing the morning tour, so it isn't so hot out. We kayaked around the whole island and it was great! The views of Puerto Rico in the distance were absolutely beautiful. If you love monkeys as much as i do this is the tour for you...

I just came back from staying 4 nights with Keishya and Bob, and it was wonderful. I did hang gliding and snorkeling with them, and they were just great. The place is very well kept up, and it was great to have the kitchen to prepare all my meals (which is important for a gluten free person to have access to making meals). The outside area was nice and I and the other guest would hang outside by the pool and relax and talk. It's in a good location for a lot of different activities in eastern Puerto Rico, and the convenience of being just a short walk to an almost private beach was great. They were great hosts and made for a great vacation.

Next time I'm traveling to the area, I'll definitely be staying here again!
