Bareburger - Hartsdale

*** 3.5 *** but keeping at 4 since I appreciate the variety this chain offers.

It was like my partner had a totally different meal. He loved his elkasaurus, and his chocolate shake was a great compliment.

My California Chix had almost no flavor. I did appreciate the ample avocado inside. My vanilla shake with oat milk was not the most exciting, but having oat milk as an option was!

I liked the fried cauli, but I didn't think the onion rings had a lot of flavor.

They definitely care about allergies and have an extensive list if you need to identify your allergies.

This is a sit down restaurant. I did not know that and went in to look. I was hoping it was fast food, but was too thin skinned to walk away.

The prices are restaurant prices and everything is a la carte.

My server was what I usually get, which was slow, apathetic, and only interested in doing the bare minimum. No, the place was not crowded because there were only 3 tables including myself.

I got the turkey burger and fries. The turkey burger was unimpressive and the same portion size as a fast food burger. I only chose the free toppings since I refuse to pay for the other toppings. Yes, some toppings cost extra. The fries were okay and what you expect from fried potatoes and salt.

Bareburger is my go-to burger spot and it hits every time I requested this place for a work lunch because I believe I'm the certified foodie of my job lol. I can say that they were quiet at the table devouring their meal.
The burgers are always amazing but I found my go-to chicken sandwich it is the: Southern Chix adding bacon the following ingredients are: NAE* chicken , pickled green tomato, organic lettuce, buttermilk ranch, nashville hot. Also the best appetizer out there is the GF Fried Pickles w/ Jalapeño Ranch.
Service is amazing as always, food comes out on time and ambiance is comfortable.

We picked up dinner this evening for their earth day special (impossible burger for $4.22). It was my first time having one from here and it was really good! We ordered ahead and pickup was seamless. The inside was also nicer than I expected! The burger had oat milk cheese on it with a vegan aioli. You could definitely taste a difference with the cheese but it wasn't bad. My bf was super excited to be able to eat the aioli and we had a nice dinner overall. I also got a side of fries that were pretty decent but due for an oil change soon. I'd definitely come back to try something else.

So fresh. A great spot to grab lunch after hiking with my family. I've vegan, my daughter is vegetarian and husband is an omnivore so we can all get something The fries are so tasty. Service is fast.

This place is a hidden gem. Loved the build your own burger and the regular fries were amazing. The waitress was super attentive and the atmosphere was very laid back and calm. The music was the perfect volume, perfect background music. Place was clean and well lit. Reasonable price for a Hartsdale location.

It's clean, service is pleasant and fast and the restaurant is spacious enough with comfy banquettes so you can spread out in privacy. Started with the guacamole - which was really excellent. Decent sized portion so good value and "Fresh & Chunky" (I asked for spicy and wasn't disappointed) - came with crispy large black tortilla chips- well worth the price. I had the wagyu burger - which on consideration probably wasn't worth it at $22+ However the sweet potato fries made up for that. Maybe next time I'll try one of the vegan options for a burger or the many chicken burgers.

Bareburger purports to serve local and some organic ingredients and foods but i wouldn't say it's super healthy - likely better than most fast foods and pricier too. They say the chicken is nonantibiotic but it's not grassfed. They serve a variety of burgers, salads and sandwiches. I had the sweet potato burger, which was pretty good tasting (fried, large pieces of avocado) and very filling. They also cook their fries in canola oil, which is one of the cheaper oils. Overall, not bad...

The service was pretty good; food didn't come out super quickly but not bad. The Plaza includes a trader Joe's, CVS, sushi place and cleaners.

Some people complain about the prices here, and if you're simply in the market for a burger and fries, that's a valid complaint. However, given the fact that the beef is all grass-fed and you have the option of getting a gluten-free bun (something that is now mandatory for me), the prices seem less outrageous. Basically, I would say that compared to getting a burger and fries from Five Guys, Bareburger is roughly 40-50% more expensive, before you consider tax and tip. Five Guys, however, does not use grass-fed beef and has no gluten-free options. It all depends on how you think about your food.

On this visit, the service was very good. My friend and I were served by Chelsea, who was friendly, competent, and knowledgeable. The place was virtually empty during lunchtime, but it appears that they do a robust takeout business.

In terms of taste, it's a good burger and the fries are very good. My friend loved his Buffalo chicken sandwich, but wasn't all that impressed with the onion rings (I couldn't try them because of the gluten). The burger isn't at the level of Five Guys or Shake Shack, however. On the other hand, this is a true sit-down dining experience.

I would recommend Bareburger to anyone who prefers higher quality food and gluten-free options. For the basic fast-food fan, Bareburger is likely going to be too pricey.

We ordered on grub hub, so no ambiance to speak of, but I liked my burger. My husband, however, did not like his... And he likes EVERYTHING. (Except parsnips! He thinks they're the devil.) We both got all beef burgers, but he said his tasted gamey. Mine was juicy and well seasoned. The only issue I had was the way they use the romaine lettuce. It's cut into 1" wide slices, so it doesn't lay on the burger... It tries to fold in half and it's awkward to bite into because of that center rib in the lettuce leaf. I don't know if they ran out of whole lettuce and had to use cut lettuce they usually use in salads, or if it's always like that. This was our first time here.

He got onion rings, which we both liked a lot. They were crisp and a good size. I got the fries and they were phenomenal, especially with the garlic aoloi. They were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, even after traveling from the restaurant to our hotel.

I'd like to go back, but hubby does not. If it was just my experience, I'd give 4 stars, but he disliked his so much that I knocked it down a star.

Just goes to show you that sometimes people can have a vastly different experience.
