Bar Bombón

Gotta love the vegan location in CC Philly! Again, I'm new to vegan lifestyle and I am looking to expand my palette.

Nonetheless, the food here is delicious. I came here with a group and wanted to try several items off of their brunch menu. Here is a list of the items we ordered and ranking

1.  Impossible Taco (these were popping, would definitely recommend ordering)
2. Nachos  (theses were popping would definitely recommend ordering)
3. Fried Plantains (these were popping)
4. Organic Sausage Patty (these were tasty)
4. French Toast (not that great)

I really wished we would have ordered philly steak empanadas but I totally forget they were on the menu!! Ahhh. But the food here was so tasty and I honestly couldn't tell things were plant based. Would recommend coming here with friends, but the outside seating is a vibe and inside, they serve up sig cocks (signature cocktails) which looked delicious. I was with my daughter, so I had to be responsible and didn't want to indulge. Support these businesses and happy eating!

Okay guys, this is such a good find. I love when vegan food is done right. I'm blown away. First off, I loved our server who was super honest about his favourite things on the menu and also engaged the four year old we had in our group even when his kitchen was about to close and he had to get orders in. I forget his name but he had a small bun (he deserves a raise).

So our first appetiser, queso was the most disappointing which got us worried. It was liquidy, bland and just not good. Skip it. Next we had the empanadas. They were warm, crispy and tasted amazing. They came with a dipping sauce which had a heat to it and it went well with the empanadas. My favourite thing on the menu which is probably what I'll keep going back for again and again is their burger- two patties, pickles, lettuce and onions with the mist fresh buns. So goood. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The tacos were pretty good as well. For dessert, we had the tres leches and I would say that my friend described it best; like a prepackaged dessert from the hospital cafeteria (we're doctors and all our associations are with the hospital). I have a bias for coconut so I liked the tres leches but it was more of a doughy consistency. We also had these chocolate banana pockets which our friends loved. I had a great time and will recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a cool laidback dining experience wifi good food

Philadelphia is a foodie city and especially good for vegans (I would say, pound for pound, it's better than bigger places like NYC and Chicago). Bar Bombon is one of those fun, cool, creative vegan spots you'll want to try. It's a small sidewalk cafe that makes you feel like you're in Europe somewhere.

We came for brunch and got the breakfast egg torta ($7 + $2 for sausage). It comes together and tastes good, but is just a mix of the omnipresent combination of a Just Egg patty and an Impossible patty. I wish they used from-scratch ingredients, but this still tasted fine.

The strawberries and cream French toast ($10) was excellent, though, with perfect thickness and subtle sweetness.

The Philly steak empanadas ($10.75 for two) were fabulous. Perfectly-spiced, perfectly-fried and just plain delicious. My biggest gripe is that these things are tiny (you get two, with consist of maybe eight bites total) for the price. But wow, they were good.

Lastly, I got a caipirinha ($9) which was too strong and seemed like it was missing something (I lived in Brazil so I know my caipirinhas).

Overall, Bar Bombon is a winner and worth a visit.

Very disappointed! The only thing good was the guava marg, the puerto rican punch even lacked umph!.
Plantains were good, they're hard to mess us. The food over all lacked flavor, I had to add salt to the guac . The empanadas weren't bad at all considering the filling was a plant based "meat" it gave what it was supposed to as well as the nachos and the vegan cheese sauce. I only gave to stars because it's definitely left us unfulfilled. You should try for your own experience but if you want drinks and just something to snack on go for it. Happy i tried tho

Yesterday was my second time visiting Bar Bombon. The first was in May 2019 and I am unashamed to say I have never stopped thinking of their cauliflower tacos since then.

Lunch was great. My guest and I both did the combo -- I was taken aback by how good the Caesar salad (I'm not usually a salad girl!) was and the tacos lived up (and even exceeded!) my memory of them.

We appreciated the service too. I mistakenly made my reservation for the wrong day, but the host was still able to accommodate us. My only "complaints" are that there wasn't salt or sugar on the rim of the margarita my guest ordered and that cauliflower take-out taco kits aren't offered!

Highway robbery. $15.50 for two dry "traditional" tacos. It doesn't even come with salsa. Rice and beans are an additional $5 each.

There are better places out there for tacos at half the price.

The tres leches cake is to die for! 10/10

Delicious and entirely vegan ! We were so excited to go here. We had to get multiple dishes to fulfill five of us. It
was all fresh, vegan and yummy!

I have been referred to this establishment a number of times. Today, I finally had the opportunity to dine here.

There is indoor/outdoor seating available. Masks are required. Menu is available by scanning the barcode on the table. There are lovely partitions in between the tables inside. This is my first indoor dining experience since last year, and I feel very comfortable and safe.

As a pescatarian that has an appreciation for vegan food items I love this place. Ann Marie our server was phenomenal. I inquired if any food items included peanuts because my daughter has a nut allergy. There are NO peanuts in house, which put me at ease. There are vegans that may have a nut allergy that will appreciate this accommodation as well.

The lunch combos are awesome and so delicious. We even went on to order individual items after our starters. The presentation is lovely, and the food is so flavorful. I could go on, but I would suggest to just come yourself. I will definitely be returning here on a regular basis.

This restaurant has become one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely top 3! I called on a busy day and despite being a full house and walk ins only, Vanessa still managed to reserve a table for us. Thank you Vanessa!
The food is phenomenal. I never knew vegan food could be SO GOOD!  Better than meat if you ask me. And I'm a meat lover! If you're not into alcohol they can literally make any drink without the alcohol on and off the menu. The drinks are not your average kind. Very unique and flavorful. Definitely not cheap tasting at all. The cauliflower tacos, empanadas and double chorizo burger are a must try! Their tres leches cake is out of this world. Food is worth the price. I am big on service and it was the cherry on top! Max was our waiter and she rocked! My friends and family definitely became a forever customer.

Location: conveniently located; a short walk from Rittenhouse Square & surrounded by other local restaurants. Cute interior decor.

Service: kind staff! Went on a weekday afternoon and service was a bit slow, only one waitress on staff. Indoor and outdoor dining were both open. Indoor dining had plastic dividing panels between tables.

Food: the portions were quite small for the price, but have to say for plant-based vegan tacos I could hardly tell the difference. The empanada was delicious, a bit cold upon arrival but filling was nicely seasoned. The Buffalo cauliflower had a softer texture, a bit mushy, but still flavorful and delicious.
