I did not order these rice dishes so I can't give you my opinion on this dish. The food is good so I think you should stop by and try it.

This is so good I dine here 2-3 times a week. It's even more authentic than the restaurants in San Gabriel Valley. I kid you not.
Owners are retiring so they will be closing soon. Be sure to try them before they close.
All my favorite dishes at Bamboo:
Mongolian Beef
Kungpao Chicken
Spicy Fried Rice
Chili Beef
Black Pepper Beef
Yang Chow Fried Rice
Crispy Noodles
Scrambled Egg Shrimp
Walnut Shrimp
Fried Pork Chop
Beef Chow Fun
Popcorn Chicken
Boiled Fish in chili oil
and more.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Blair J.Upland, CA273727Oct 18, 2023
First time eating here today, and the food was really good. Yes, it was a little on the pricier side even for a lunch special- but I wound up bringing more than half my food home so it's not a bad deal. Tried the curry chicken steam buns and the general Tso's chicken. Really yummy! Friendly staff, and it appeared there were some regulars in there as well. Unfortunately, this restaurant is closing on Friday (10/20/23). It was sad to see staff and customers hugging goodbye. Wish we would have tried this place earlier.

3.7 the food was deliscious. The sauce on the crispy fried noodle was a little dark than I am used to but surprisingly, it's not too salty at all. The fried fish was just as I expected, spicy, crispy and savory. The hot and sour soup was delish as well (no photo, too excited to eat). I was a bit disappointed with the price of the entrees. It was averaging $15 per entree. The taste of the food made up for the price though. The ambience was clean and cozy. I was more disappointed with the mandatory tip. We were a table of 3 and the tip was automatically included with our tab. $7 tip for 3 person and we ordered 2 entree and an order of soup with 2 scoops of rice. Close to $60 was our tab. I don't know if it's worth coming back. Don't get me wrong, the taste is good authentic Chinese food but the price seems to be more like upper class end resto.

BEWARE! This business uses a bad practice and will IMPOSE a service fee for "serving their customers". This is ridiculous!!!
I yelped this business to grab a quick lunch and left very disappointed and dissatisfied. First of, I ordered dumplings and they were served to me frozen in the inside. Then, after waiting for another 10 minutes these came out along with the check showing this *ilegal* service charge of $5 dollars. She said that if I paid cash I could get a 10% discount which, not my problem, but I wonder if they are even reporting earnings correctly.
Just a matter of time before an Audit and huge penalty...
It is not the $ but the principal!!
I definitely won't be coming back, EVER!!Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 3 - Jul 10, 2022
The decor and ambience is nice. It makes the eating experience enjoyable. I wish the food was better though. It's not the kind of authenticity I'm looking for. If you want authentic Chinese food (not the typical
Orange chicken or kung pao chicken, then I'd suggest going to Rowland Heights or the SGVc or even Tai Pan on Archibald). I'm sure they make those dishes well but we ordered other items and they were average.
Chicken egg from soup - full of corn and tastes only like corn. Not very good
Potstickers - one of two decent items on the menu
Combination fried rice (yang chow fried rice) - average
Black pepper beef - average
Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce - tastes as expected
Mushu shrimp - only other good dish
Popcorn chicken - Taiwanese dish, was not bad
There was only one lady working and she was kind of slow. Food was also a little slow to come out, considering we were the only customers in there.
And they had a promotion for a free drink but didn't offer it until we asked. Seemed like she should have promoted it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chloe W.Rowland Heights, CA13128Nov 29, 2022
This place is delicious! Love how clean the restaurant is and how nice the lady always is! You can tell the food is freshly prepared right when you order and they have the best lunch special. Lunch special includes green tea, rice, two egg rolls, salad, and the entree of your choice for like $12! Such a deal. Try the orange chicken and garlic eggplant! Love it so much better than Panda Express and you get to support a local business.
Love this place. We always come!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 5568363325Oct 25, 2022
I was looking for a new Chinese spot on uber eats and came upon this place. I only ordered 3 things but they were amazing, giving me high hopes that everything else on their menu is equally great.
I ordered their:
1. Salt and pepper fish. Amazing flavors. Filet was not soggy. Nice outer crust, but the actual fish was glistening and tender. The amount of heat is variable depending on if you eat the chilis or not. But it was really good. Not dry. Flavors were on point. A must order!!
2. Mongolian beef. Again great flavors. Moist and tender. Mid spice. You can taste it but uts not overpowering. Not overly greasy. I really loved how tender the beef was. Flavors again were top notch. A definite must order.
3. Walnut shrimp. Large peices of shrimp. Succulent, tender, cooked well. Again, at the risk of sounding redundant, the flavors were amazing!!! And again a must order. The sauce they use is thick and creamy, and it really lends itself to the shrimp.
It's rare that I enjoyed 100% of the things I ordered, but again with the small sample size, I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered. Maybe I got use to the "Chinese food" in Central valley..... anyways the textures were amazing. Tastes were exceptional. Serving size was on par. Pricing was in line with what I'd expect post pandemic living in times of inflation. I will definitely be ordering from them when looking for Chinese food. And I can't wait to try other items on their menu.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Liza C.Rancho Cucamonga, CA05565Oct 2, 2022
We were craving for Chinese food last night, however, our usual go-to place is just too far. So we've decided to look for somewhere close. Im looking for freshly cooked food that will satisfy the cravings.
We found Bamboo Kitchen inside a plaza, corner of Milliken and Foothill. I was surprised to see the place not busy on a Saturday afternoon. I was a little skeptical if the food here is good.
The place is quaint and clean. The lady behind the counter who must be the owner was really friendly, she offered some free jasmine tea and rice to add in our to-go order.
Our order came out fast. The portions of the food is worth the price. We ordered Chicken popcorn, salt and pepper pork, Shanghai pork spare ribs, kung pao chicken and fried rice. All freshly cooked. The aroma tells me that this is going to be great! I was right, everything taste really gooood!! All flavors hit the spot. Cravings satisfied!!! Better than our usual go-to place. The free jasmine tea is really awesome, I just need some sea salt foam and it will taste the same as the one I buy at a popular bakery nearby.
I was wondering if we found a Chinese food gem in RC, how come the place is not packed?
People should try this place.
Highly recommended.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
