Great food and great employees! The Thai flatbread was incredible and the brownie looked so good I had to eat it before my pizza was ready. Everything was perfect.
The building is one of the greatest examples of a historic preservation that I've ever seen. Everything is also perfectly clean and they even spared no expense - even on their plasticware (none of those cheap, thin spoons or forks that break before your first bite)!
They also cater to events as well as have a gorgeous private room with one of those conference-sized dinner tables you can fit a dozen or so people around. According to the employee that took my order, this gem has been a work in progress for twenty years or so. I don't know if that's literal or not, but I'm betting this place has been a lifetime venture either way! You can just tell how much they love their building, their food products, and their customers in just about everything around you. It's refreshing.
This was a highlight of my brief stop in Helena, and I have no doubt I'll be back - too bad Texas is so far from here!
*I've only been here once, but I just drove by and their hours have either been wrong on Yelp or they've changed. They are definitely not open till nine tonight (it's 6:46pm now and they're locked up for the night it seems). Too bad. I was already ready for a second visit! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathleen E.Lima, OH123265Dec 2, 2019

Bailee Mae's is an awesome hidden little gem in this small town. We were just passing through and decided to stop for lunch. I'm SO glad we did. Sweet tea, salads and sandwiches were all delicious. The food was delicious. The art was trendy. Loved the entire experience.

The place is tucked away in the corner of what looked like an older downtown area. I stopped by Sat morning just for some coffee and grabbed a muffin while I was at it. Both pretty good. A difference in decor and atmosphere for what Ive seen in this city. Service for some others wasnt that speedy.

I really wanted to like this place.
The restaurant is in a beautiful historic building with a nice array of local art work hanging on the walls. The staff was friendly and there was a nice laid-back feel. However, hubby ordered a beer and waited.... and waited.... people after us ordered coffee drinks and they were making and serving the coffee drinks before they finally poured his beer. It took about ten minutes. I ordered a chicken sandwich that was way overpriced, bread was soggy, and didn't come with a side. The bread just fell apart when I was eating it so I ended up using a fork to eat the chicken. I guess this is more like a local coffee shop kind of place-- good for meeting up with friends for a coffee and a pastry, but not where you would go for a substantial meal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathleen Q.Memphis, TN131518Sep 16, 2015
Helena finally has a coffee shop in the historic downtown, and it does not disappoint! Located on the ground floor of the old Lewis Supply Building (www.lewissupplybldg.com), this lofty, well-lit space is perfect for catching a quick lunch with co-workers or grabbing a beer after work or just old-fashioned people watching (even though you know all the people, because they're your friends and neighbors and cousins- this is a small town!).
In truth, however, this is really a combination coffee shop, cafe, and wine bar. They have craft beer on tap (currently they feature Diamond Bear, an Arkansan brewery) and both a breakfast and a lunch/dinner menu.
A coffee or Americano with a breakfast sandwich is a standby for me in the mornings; I'm grateful to finally have a [far superior] alternative to McDonald's.
For lunch or dinner, I recommend the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, and you can't go wrong with the BLAT. Mac & Cheese topped with bacon crumbles is another favorite of mine. The menu is simple, but interesting enough to satisfy those with more exotic tastes. They do have cactus chili, which I haven't tried yet, and a couple of more adventurous flat breads.
As a bonus, it's one of the few places in the area that a vegetarian can have a tasty meal that's more than just some version of "salad" (though their enormous Butter Bowl IS one heck of a salad). The black bean burger is a treat for veggies and meat eaters alike.
The service is attentive and friendly, as you would expect in a small town coffee shop where everyone knows everyone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lovejunk H.Springdale, AR2510Oct 11, 2019
Terrific coffee, food and service! Don't leave Helena without a visit. They make great breakfast sandwiches!

This is a very cool place, but don't come when you are in a rush. The Saturday morning that we were there, there was only one woman working, so you can imagine that it took a long time. However the food was excellent.
