Great wines at this new addition to wine alley! We were on our way to my friend's wine club when we were enticed by the cheese sign at Baer. We ended up doing the tasting and leaving with a couple of bottles that were too good to pass up!
The ladies working here were friendly and knowledgeable about the brand - I know we will be back!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Love it so much we joined the club!
Great reds - lots of cab franc based stuff, and a good rose, but it's really a winery for the red lover.
Heads up they just opened a location in Woodin Creek/Wine Alley as well. Open more days and longer hours.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 6, 2021
Hidden in one of the side buildings in the Woodinville Warehouse Wine area is Baer Winery. The wines are tasty and the tasting room pretty quiet. The staff were attentive to making sure that we had wine in our glasses. I wish the rating tab had a 3.5 as that is what I would have chosen instead of a 3. You will not be disappointed with the beautiful wines that they have to offer. I just think I would have liked a little more ambiance for my tasting experience. Again, great wine and the tasting room people were nice.

I just opened a bottle of their Ursa from the year 2000 and it was still fabulous. I think this really a testament to the quality of their wine if their red blend lasted 19 years and still tasted perfect. It was incredibly smooth. The bottle is signed by Lance Baer, Rest In Peace. Thank you for this wonderful journey back in time and if you like the signed bottle back, just let me know :)

Killer reds made by a hard-working woman! Baer is tucked around the corner but worth the 2 minute walk ;-) Their lineup is mostly reds but occasionally with a Chardonnay open too - which is worth to try even if you're one of those people who says "I only drink red". Cheers!

Darling winery, good service, and great vibe! This place is super laid back and the wine is great! I went home with a bottle of the Callisto - a really good, fairly dry, peppery wine. I really liked the Ursa as well. I had a hard time picking between 3 different bottles (I only had enough room and weight limit in my luggage to pick one). Also, love the logo and cute box that the wine comes with too!
My friend, who RARELY drinks enjoyed a tasting and bought a bottle of Callisto as well. Very good! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Elizabeth N.Bothell, WA3215420Sep 16, 2019
Baer was my top tasting room pick for 2016, but it's slid a bit in the standings since. The tasting room is quite small, but the staff are great and are extremely accommodating. You'll see folks with babies in tow and new walkers.
They do occasionally have quite the bargain available, and the wine club is one of the more reasonable options. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit in 2019, I just didn't care for much of the wine. Hoping next year's batch is more to my liking, but after all, it's a matter of taste.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle H.Lynnwood, WA017Oct 15, 2021Updated review
I like this wine - the wine maker is very talented, however the staff attendants are quiet rude. I have gone several times over the years and experience the same feeling every time. They are much nicer to club members or older audiences and are fairly snotty to the 20/30 population. It hurts me to write this review but I do want the wine maker to know her product is good, but the service is off putting and downright upsetting. Customer services makes the experience, not the wine.

Lisa BaerNov 13, 2018Previous reviewWine was good but if you don't fit the profile of being in your 40s+, the customer service is pretty snarky. I felt extremely uncomfortable being there as someone in her 20s. I was noticeably treated different. We got stared for talking loud and disagreed that we didn't get our final pour.

OMG! What a hidden gem in the back corner of the warehouse district. To be honest, we wound up discovering Baer by accident. We were given directions to another wine tasting room, but got a bit lost among the many buildings and crowded parking areas in the warehouse district.
Thank goodness!
We tasted six wines and each time thought that there was no way the next wine would be comparable or better than the last. Our favorites were the Shard Chardonnay and Ursa Merlot/Cab Franc/Cab Sauv blend.
The prices average $40 per bottle and are a great value for the price.
Definitely a top 5 stop in Woodinville for any wine tasting adventure!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark Y.Woodinville, WA12246492Mar 1, 2013
Go visit here.. i forget the tasting fee but it's either free or $5..
you get 3 wines - a chard, and a couple of reds..
The story here is the cool part. The son who was the winemaker/founder of the winery passed away so his parents took it up for him and continued his passion/dream.
it's amazing.. really. the wine has been excellent.
Our favorite year in and year out is the Ursa..TRAGICALLY (great for the owners) for us, the 2008 got on the top 10 list for the wine spectator.. bad bad bad.. made it impossible to fine, and prices subsequently went up.. no surprise..
It's still loved by us, but the prices are near a limit where we'd be looking at the next tier of wines, but support this place. it's worth it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
