B&B Department Stores

My family and I stopped in today and what I believe was the owner could not have been ruder. I was purchasing quite a few items at the register and noticed a bottle of Inis Perfume, amongst others, at the register. At least 1/4 of the perfume was missing and it was not is a box. I assumed it was a sample bottle and sprayed to see if I liked it. Well I should not have assumed. I was scolded by the rude lady behind the counter in front of my family. As if I were a child playing with it. She said it was for sale and was trying to keep the lid on with a little piece of scotch tape which appeared to be reapplied many time by the look of it. So rude. I have a home in Lavallette and will be sure NEVER to stop in again. By the way, I was reminded of this incident throughout the day by the STINK of that perfume on my arm.

I like some of the clothing but sadly 1/2 of the shirts have Lavalette printed on it.
I don't live work or stay in Lavalette so I don't want my clothing to say it.

I love b&b, the clothes are always so cute and exactly my style. The workers are always very kind and helpful. Customer service is great. Sometimes can be a little pricey, but they do have some good, 50% off clearance sales. I love to come here when I'm treating myself!

Cute items, decent sales. They had croc sandals on sale for $20 when I just bought them for $25 on the croc website.

I walked up to the counter and the cashier was talking to another employee for a good minute. She then looked at me, and asked me if I wanted to pay. No, I just want to stand here with items from your store in my hand and stare at you all day.

B&B is a great little department store with something for everyone. The clothing is on trend for each age group, the stores are neat and well organized and the staff helpful. One of my favorite places at the shore to shop.

B&B is a Jersey Shore / Ocean County staple. This location is somewhat different from most of the department store setups- The Women's store is on one side of the street while the Men's / Children's is on the opposite. Positives:: Great sales here in the off season, helpful staff, clothes at every persons price point (Name Brands such as Hurly and Jetty along with general lower quality pieces). Negatives: Can get crowded / difficult to find parking at peak hours in the summer; limited size selection of all clothing; strict return policy.

I've frequented this store for almost 15 years... and now, my girl who's 15 will frequent it. The clothing selection is fab! Much better than the mall, and the prices are more than reasonable. I must say, most of the employees are truly top notch.... they want to help. I have always found my size, and if not - they would call a neighbor store.

The mall doesn't do that! I applaud the owners and the management here. The selection and prices keep me coming back.....

Oh, and I always seem to find some kind of nick nacks - or jewelry - all reasonably priced.

Stop in to look at their offerings. I won't go to the mall anymore. Neither should you.

Wow, walk into the store and the salesperson quickly approaches me to say we close in 15 minutes. Well, you lost me as a customer! If I could select 0 stars it would be a more accurate reflection about my experience.

You might as well shut early than tell customers they have 15 minutes to shop! Thank God for the internet, I don't need brick and mortar stores!

The woman with the curly hair working behind the counter had a horrible attitude. We went to put some stuff down on the counter and keep looking around and this lady started de tagging and packing up our stuff when we weren't even sure if we were going to purchase anything. When we finally got up there to ring up and told her we weren't taking some of the stuff she gave the other girl an annoyed look. She rushed us through. And then we realized we had the wrong sizes and when we went to return the stuff she told us we could only get store credit since we paid with cash. Mind you she never informed us of this because if she did we would've payed by credit card, also the exchange happened literally within 10 mins of the purchase. We don't even live in the area. I'm so annoyed and would recommend taking your business else where. They don't inform you until it's to late, which is basically robbery
