Awesome Air is a fantastic choice to consider if you're looking for a contractor to replace your HVAC system. I got two (2) new Trane systems from them recently (large house) - it worked out great. Install went smooth as silk. Cost was in line with all my other quotes.

Don't keep wasting time scrolling on Google - just pick up the phone and call Mark Norton with Awesome Air 512-327-8383

I had been going on for too long pushing my ancient Carrier HVAC system past 25 years old, through repair after repair. Hassles.

It finally got to the point where replacement was a more economical option than repair costs. As when it finally broke down in Texas heat, it was brutal. Weeks with no AC as I scrambled to find a new system.

I scrubbed Yelp trying to find a reliable HVAC contractor that could offer great brand name equipment at a reasonable cost - easier said than done in the pandemic blues. Many HVAC installers were too busy weeks out, or didn't have brand I wanted or, worse, didn't have equipment in stock to install anytime soon.

I finally happened upon Mark Norman with Awesome Air. He had what I wanted (Trane) and had it in stock. He promised quick install at reasonable price. His team of experienced installers busted it out ASAP and delivered. Very pleased. Highly recommended!

My air conditioning went out this past summer so I called the gentleman that installed it. First not a nice reception on their phone from the lady on the phone, actually about the rudest answer I ever received.
I called back and talked to the owner who installed it, he did come by and said he would be back in the next 2 days. So mind you I had been without air conditioning for like 6 days now. I'm pushing 70 and it's a 100 in the house.
I called the next day to get some idea when they might come over and he said I'm not going to take the job! He also said the warranty is still good on the fan motor but he's not going to wait in line to get a new one. He had given me a price for the repair I thought was a little high but I was actually dying from the heat so I said ok to a price that was 2 times as high as another quote I had received.

John was amazing and then some. Super professional, knowledgeable, and just go out of your way kind of person. We found our go to when it comes to our Halo system. I almost didn't want to leave a review, hidden gem and all, but want folks to be as happy as we were to get things fixed so effortlessly. You're welcome. (If anyone sees this)

Great service, installation, and so knowledgeable. I'm a fussy customer, and Mark and Patty have left me happy, twice. They recommend Trane and it's a great product. The install was completed ahead of schedule, too.

We just had Mark's Awesome team install a new AC unit at our house. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the overall experience. From the beginning, Mark set himself apart in thoroughly investigating our situation. He told us how we could improve air flow and system efficiency in a straight-forward manner. I received several bids, and Mark's attention to detail and dedication to his craft stood out. I never felt like he was doing a hard sell approach. In fact, instead of upselling me on options, he let me know what was really necessary, and what I could consider a "nice-to-have". I liked that he owns his own company, and his approach was "old school". After I accepted the bid, it turned out that there was a supply constraint for the AC unit I wanted, resulting in a slight delay. Mark went out of his way to help pull together a stop-gap solution for me, to keep our house livable, until the new unit was on his way. I never asked for that - he offered it. The installation team was terrific. Daniel and Enrique were professional, efficient, and left the house spotless. They actually devised an improvement to my attic flooring and duct work which no other company suggested - resulting in better air flow and improved access to my units. They even"cleaned up" some sloppy work done by my previous installer, on the second unit they didn't even sell to me. Oh, and all of this was done for a very fair price. Mark, Patty, Daniel, Enrique, thanks for an excellent AC replacement!

In late June 2022, our then-current AC system was about 17 years old and not keeping up with cooling the house so that we knew it was only a matter of time before the AC went out. As a Consumer Reports-type person in mid-June 2022 I had seen that Trane was number 1 in Consumer Reports for both predicted reliability and owner satisfaction. Essentially, their score in my book (the sum of their rankings) was "2" -- a perfect score, and the next lowest score was for an AC company was "8". Then, I looked at ratings for Trane dealers to see who I might want to use. Although there was a closer Trane dealer to our house, that company's rating by their customers was significantly lower than the customer ratings of Awesome Air & Heat Service.

Mark and Pattie are not just "Awesome" because that is the name of their company. They are "awesome" in a variety of ways, First is Mark's knowledge of the AC system, the dynamics of the system, and his wanting to make sure that you understand the issues important to you. I learned about the positive air flow of the supply line, and the negative air flow of the return air line. I learned how we had been taxing our previous system by having a very nicely built wooden return air grill that did not allow enough return air to have the system run properly. I learned how we had too high a MERV rating filter in our previous unit that choked the air flow some. It was during the discussion with Mark about MERV ratings and return air flow that we decided to go with a five-inch filter box -- that would accommodate a higher MERV rated filter -- to help us cut down on some of the pollen issues. And, it was during that discussion that Mark made clear that for us to have the warranty protection of Trane, we would need to enlarge the return air vent or add new return air vents.

Enlarging the return air plenum in an attic with very little crawl space was challenging, but Mark worked very hard to make sure that we got what was needed for the system and in a way that we were pleased with how it looked and was built. With any project that involves construction-related issues, there will be hiccups. And, this is the second way in which Mark was "awesome". He wants to make sure that you are pleased with what they have done for you, and if there is a problem he wants to fix it. He said that the true measure of a company is not that they be perfect, because no one is, but the measure of a company is how they respond to the issues that naturally arise during the process. Mark is definitely "awesome" in his approach to you. There would be times when you might wish that Mark would cool his jets, but he is trying to address your issues in a timely fashion, and the fire-hose nature of his business in the summer, is that he needs to take care of you now, because of others' emergencies that will occur next week.

Plus, Mark has an "awesome" partner in Pattie who helps to take care of the other details in running a very hectic Mom and Pop type business.

A couple of weeks ago, my upstairs AC started blowing hot, humid air. Not what I want. I got estimates from several companies and they were all over the board. Mark came out, gave me recommendations to make the system better, and gave me one of the lowest quotes. After deciding all that I wanted to do to my system, Mark came back out to review with me again what was going on. (The original construction had a bunch of inefficient splits). We were able to set up a better layout, rebuild the plenums and add central filters to both systems for a great price. They even reused some of my old ductwork to create new, more efficient runs without charging any extra, which make my system both more efficient and reduced waste.

If you've got AC issues, I recommend giving Mark and Pattie a chance.

They installed a new return on the right to match the one on the left.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Experienced and quick. willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied and taken care of. When coil replacement was going to take a week to arrive the owner personally found one and had it installed within two days. It was even a better model.
Owner explained everything in detail and due to his experience and quality of service and parts I believe the life of my system has been extended.
The technicians were extremely professional. Very polite and their experience showed. System was fixed in exactly the amount of time I was told. They answered my questions and made sure I was satisfied before they left. Hope I don't need anything in the future but with these guys on the job I know I'm in good hands.
I would highly recommend Awesome Air for your HVAC needs. You won't be sorry.
