Aviators is the bar and restaurant inside of the Ramada in Bangor but it has street access so I imagine locals are free to dine and drink here as well. The hours are from 5-9PM nightly.
There are some solid drafts on tap and even more in bottles and cans as well as decent cocktails. Prices are fair for a hotel bar. The food is hot and freshly prepared with good ingredients, I particularly enjoyed the turkey melt and onion rings. Service is super friendly. This was a nice hot meal and brew after time on the road and it wasn't priced to gouge guests. All in all this particular Ramada is a step above most similarly priced chain hotels.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jude P.Dartmouth, Canada2144Sep 16, 2017
Ok, so we weren't sure when we walked in to an empty restaurant but we were just too tired to go off property.
Well, let me tell you that Bangor is missing out! We were met by Jim and he was great. Helpful, funny and he makes a good drink!
Hubby had the Reuben Sandwich (which was fabulous) and I had he fish and chips. Being a Nova Scotia girl, I'm kinda picky, may snobby, about my fish and chips. These fish was great! Tender cooked Ina light, crispy coating. It was delicious! Have I mentioned his home made Cole slaw? Wow!
I honestly think that Aviators will be the reason we come back to the Ramada or if we stay elsewhere, we will most certainly make our way back to Aviators.
You should give it a try'Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
