Champs Elysees reminds me of the Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in the US. You will see all the high-end brands you usually see at Rodeo Drive but much more since you are in Europe. The streets are wide open and it's quite a tourist walk with a lot to see. Many people strolling are tourists. So it's an enjoyable walk on a beautiful day. There are also small food stalls you can stop for a quick bite or drink. I highly recommend visiting this avenue if you are in Paris. It's one of my favorite moments in France and whether you come in the day or night. The streets will always be filled with people with lots to see. Best time to come is during Christmas with all the festive nights.

TOTALLY FABULOUS ! My wife and I totally enjoyed our one week vacation in Paris. One day we took the Paris Metro to Champs-Elysees and had a great time. The Arc de Triomphe is magnificent ! Lots to see....mega retail brands everywhere. We had a delicious lunch at Le Deauville...a very good restaurant. I even went for a joy ride in a 2019 gold Lamborghini Huracan...a ton of fun. Lots of shopping made our day !
NOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !Helpful 7Thanks 3Love this 6Oh no 0 - Jun 29, 2023
Well if its your 1st time in Paris, for the sake of check mark, go visit this street.
But overall nothing special about it to me, its very crowded and the type tourist you see in that street doesn't match the classy reputation of Paris.
Very Typical stores with inflated prices.... to me it was waste of time.
but if you just want to walk there and get the vibe of outdoor malls, spend an afternoon would be enough.
But don't eat there, there are lots of good restaurants in other areas.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4313716591Feb 11, 2023
This is main road in Paris. The one that goes through the very heart of the city.
It's lined up with endless restaurants, bistros and cafés. And all the major big brand stores you can think of.
We didn't come for any of these though. We came for a nice walk along the street. To enjoy the bright Christmas lights in the evening. The trees and buildings were lit up with wonderful lights.
It was really nice to see the lights on here in Paris. At our home there were only few christmas lights. Really was missing something. But here they were on and it was a joy to stroll along the Champs Elysees. The sidewalk is really wide and even though packed with visitors there was always enough space to walk. The further away you get from the Arc the more quiet it gets.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3402199715535Sep 2, 2022
Avenue des Champs-Élysée has changed over the years, to the consternation of both visitors and the French alike.
Gone are the small quaint shops, the parallel side street for parking and the smaller, less commercial restaurants. Poof!
It has been replaced with a pedestrian walkway, with tourists seeming to bump into each other while texting. There are very few Cafés to sit around and relax, to enjoy an espresso.
The stores have been all replaced by what the French call the Disney effect of their beloved Avenue. But it's not just large international consumerism on display, one of the most crowded stores on the avenue is the football team Paris- St German F.C. or PSG for short.
If you're looking for the old Paris, try the side streets as we did. There you will find some quaint shops and Cafés. An alternative is still the Marais, or if you really need a big department store, try the nearby Galleries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussman, or Printemps.
There's always a Plan B. A tip of the hat to my friend Taric W's timeless review of nine years ago!Helpful 33Thanks 0Love this 29Oh no 1 - Jul 6, 2022
Someone had told me this street is like Paris' Fifth Avenue, but that description does not do it justice. Starting at the Arc de Triomphe, the street extends for over a mile and is much wider and more impressive than Fifth Avenue. Yes, you will see a lot of luxury stores like Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton, but the street offers more than that.
There are also monuments, theatres, nightclubs and restaurants. It is more like a mix of Times Square and Fifth Avenue. I was here during Christmas time and the street was beautifully covered with lights and decorations. Even if you are not in the mind to spend any money, just taking a walk here is worth it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 16, 2021
Beautiful.
Just Beautiful.
Every time we visit Paris... we always take a stroll down these amazing streets... long long long "avenue" filled with shops and eateries. It's always bustling... and the cars driving up to the Arc de Triumph zooms through the lanes. You see beautiful people walking in their chic outfits, (locals), then you see... tourists... just like us... with t-shirts & jeans! lol
There are so many shops... just like our once glorious "5th Avenue" filled with high end retail.. and a GAP.
We've eaten at several places... the delicious cafe at Lauderee, small cafes with amazing cappuccinos and then you see the American invasion like "Five Guys" burger... smh.
Take your time and enjoy the walk.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 15, 2020
Decorated for upcoming Christmas festivities, the avenue was lined with plywood booth(fair) structures. They were setting up food stalls, shops, and entertainment venues that appeared to be a blast. I was about 2 weeks early. Although I did get to see the final assembly and lighting of a Ferris wheel that Egypt had loaned Paris for the Holidays. Impressive.
I just had one trip down this marvelous avenue but, wish I had time to go back. Really, it's the main drag that skirts the older historic area, Seine river, and demarks the start of a newer side. You feel like youre on the highway of life with tons of traffic literally inches away from each other, but no accidents! How do they drive here? Don't know-how.
You really feel the magic of Paris and life here!Helpful 80Thanks 0Love this 74Oh no 0 - 5000385171229Jan 2, 2020
