Autoshield

Having had a couple of those annoying rock chips on my windshield from trucks kicking up rocks on the highway, I knew I needed to have them properly taken care of before the extreme temperatures of the summer season encouraged them to spider out and grown from minor nuisances to more substantial ones requiring a full windshield replacement.

The question is, where to go?

Over the years,I've usually gone with convenience. Like, working someplace where a mobile glass truck stops by and drops off a handful of coupons, and the like. With some, I've noticed the spot as more of a distraction /unsightly blip sometimes more than others. I've watched them on occasion, too. Usually, there's the drill, the glue, then the heat gun to help "set the glue in the hole properly so you stop any inclinations for the chip to get larger over time.

Upon recommendation from acquaintances, I had Autoshield fix my current chips. Learning that this business has done contracts with establishments like certain luxury car dealerships and is known in the clear-coat film business should've given me a clue as to the fine detail work I was to experience. Both chips were finessed to an exacting degree. There were vacuum devices affixed to the glass to ensure the optimal application of the glue. The cleanup after was pristine. The resultant spots that were repaired are tiny and barely noticeable. No one that I've had chip repairs with did such a clean, precise attention to detail.

I am very happy with the repair and recommend going here.

Dave has always been my go to guy when I need paint protection for my cars. He does excellent work installing ClearBra on vehicles and provides excellent post-install service as well. Do not hesitate and give him a call if you need protection for your automobile.

Overall: I am very happy. The owner (Dave) had this business for 30 years. As soon as I got there he immediately started working on my cracked windshield before I even gave my car insurance. He did not want to waste time. Super friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Every business should be run like this.

Dave has applied PPF on two of my vehicles, most recently a brand new Honda CR-V. My other vehicle is a 2016 Acura and the PPF is holding up wonderfully now for 7 years. Dave did great work on both cars, completed the job on time at a fair price. He has a new shop location that has a really cool vibe, decorated with Burning Man artwork.

Please note, this business has moved from their Rancho Cordova location to Sacramento. That being said, I used their mobile service.

Overall, I appreciated the consult from the owner Dave and his tech Ramiro. They scheduled quickly, was on time (early), and so far the workmanship looks good. The window was the appropriate replacement (read some of the reviews from other places as this happens), trimmed back to factory looks, and even reset some cosmetic trim for me. Overall, my vehicle looks back to factory. I would highly recommend.

I had a chip grow to a creeping crack on my Toyota Tundra. I called on a Tuesday evening requesting a quote and availability. I talked with the owner, Dave. He was very accommodating and was able to get his tech to my location by Thursday morning. Ramiro was the tech. He initially started early in the morning when the morning moisture was very high (morning dew). He started, but realized that it would not be good to work on my vehicle with this level of moisture all around. Read: It was really wet and would create more condensation even after wiping everything down in a few minutes. Why is this important? He could have easily committed to it despite adverse conditions, but opted to just wait a few hours when the environment was favorable. He rescheduled another job and came back at the time he stated (actually early) texting me when he would arrive. I think he wanted to do two other appointments before coming back, but came back when things warmed/dried so I wouldn't have to wait. I'm a mechanical person, so I was interested in this process. While staying out of his way, he accommodated me by explaining his process as he did the work. He could have easily told me that it would be too distracting, but he was incredibly gracious from removal, cleaning, prep, installation, and clean up. Note, I made a conscious effort to stay out of his way and only continued the conversation when he was able to talk, as he was not there to entertain me, but to do a job. Still he did the job quickly/efficiently, while caring for my vehicle laying out towels and avoid any tools touching my paint. I really appreciated the level of effort he made cleaning as he worked, something I personally do. He finished in about an hour from beginning to end, provided me instructions for next 24 hours, and was on his way. I wish I could share photos of the tech working for privacy reasons, so I will only share some of the finish install.

Dealing with a broken windshield is an inconvenience. Having a mobile tech come out is a great plus. Their pricing is on-par with other repair shops, so pricing is reasonable/expected. Their customer service was exceptional from the phone consultation to the actual service by accommodating my schedule. Lastly, as I was able to watch the process. I was very happy with their workmanship and how they cared for my vehicle.

Worked with David at this shop, my windshield was hit by some road debris and was cracked top to bottom. I wanted an OEM, Premium replacement for my Saturn. It was hard to find a shop that not only could get the glass but replace it on short notice. David and his team knocked it out the park. Great price, fast service and an excellent company.

I will recommend them to anyone looking for Tinting or glass repair.

My car windshield got chipped last Saturday while driving on the freeway. I immediately tried calling auto glass shops and fortunately found Autoshield. Dave is really cool and professional. You can tell that he's been doing auto glass business for a while now. He's fast and knowledgeable. This place work with most insurance co. too which is pretty cool coz the repair is covered by most insurance co. and deductible doesn't apply for this kind of repair, meaning it's covered 100%. This shop also do clear bras and window tints. Dave of Autoshield will definitely be my go to guy when it comes to auto glass repairs. Highly recommended!

Quick, easy, fair prices, and the best people working there. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Smashed window was only a minor inconvenience in my day because they were so great. Best window replacement experience I've ever had.

Had some bubbling that I kinda made worse by pushing it around, and some edges on the headlight were bubbled up. I brought the car in on a saturday (when they're normally closed) but David came in and helped me get the spots fixed up. My clearbra looks awesome! No one has been able to notice it on unless they got up close and personal.

Just had another vehicle done by Dave. This makes about 7 cars/trucks he's done for us and his work has always been awesome. Clear Bra + window tint, everything turned out perfect. We've only had minor edge issues once or twice out of all the installs and Dave has always taken care of it. Meljie Honey's is the only place I'll use for Clear Bra and tinting. Thanks, Dave!
