Auto Options Tires

I read a bunch of reviews on TireRack for different shops in Berkeley and went with Auto Options because of their reviews. They were able to see me as soon as my tires arrived and my car had all four tires replaced and aligned in less than 1/2 day. The guy at the shop couldn't have been nicer.

Two thing i really appreciated- the total price was exactly what i was quoted and he took the time to explain all the alignment numbers in detail because i was interested.

I've been going here for onwards of 30 years. Auto Options has been the most reliable, safest, and easy to work with tire and rim place. Bill has always given thorough and great service to meet my tire needs. The prices are as good as you get anywhere. He has the best selection of rims. I'd give six stars if I could.

Bill at Auto Options is my "go to guy" for all my tire needs for all my cars for over a decade! He's nice and patient, reviewing all the tire options over the phone and explaining tire specs jargon if you don't understand.

Once I had a low tire pressure light for weeks that I couldn't figure out the cause. Bill asked me to bring my car in and they checked all the tires, tried to reset the sensors, and just when we were about to give up, they discovered it was the spare tire in the trunk that was the issue. So he filled it with air and sent me on my way. And he did NOT EVEN CHARGE ME FOR ALL THIS! What service!! This is the kind of customer service that has earned Bill my loyalty for life!

Instead of shopping online, go to their website and shop there and have them install them.

My Kia Sorento was just at the dealer for 50k mi service. They found a screw in one tire but couldn't do the repair so I called Auto Options, where I bought the tires. They gave me a 930am appointment 2 days later. Fortunately the tire didn't seem to be leaking major air so I waited for the appt. 10 minutes in, the mechanic (didn't get his name) walked out and told me there was no leak! The screw was only a fifth of a screw so it didn't penetrate the tire: no leak, no repair needed!! Music to my ears!! I was not charged anything. Auto Options earned a barrel full of good will today. Thank you for your prompt assistance and honesty. Well done!!

They do their best to get you close to tire rack prices. I had a list of tires I wanted and they got me quotes for everyone of them. They weren't pushy at all and gave me their honest opinions on each tire I was considering. All the quotes were roughly $20-30 more than if I went with tire rack. Oddly enough, they gave a better price on the super expensive and new Michenlin Pilot A/S 3. They would be totally okay if I ordered from tire rack and had it delivered there but I was pressed for time since my old tires were down to the nylons.

This place is awesome. My car is very hard to align. Its lowered on coilovers with many other aftermarket suspension pieces. I've had a horrible time finding a good alignment shop that's capable of getting my car close to oem spec. I used to go to custom alignment out in the penisula but they're expensive and the last time I took my car there, they said there were parts of my rear suspension that was bent and they would only work on it if I got the pieces replaced. Long story short, I've been eating through rear tires b/c my alignment's been so off.

I absolutely love this place. I am a wreck whenever anything goes wrong with my car. I go straight to panic mode. Auto Options has pulled nails, bolts, and screws out of my tires. They have added air to my tires when my tire gauge melted in my car and three gas stations had the air thingy missing or broken. I was convinced that I had something in my tire which is why it was low. I made an appointment- and it turns out my tires had lost normal air pressure. I appreciate that they didn't make me feel dumb and didn't charge me. I need new tires and booked with them. They are trustworthy and honest. Highly recommended!
