Austin Brewery Tours

Great tour of three local breweries!! Scheduling was easy, pick up location was easy and drinking was easy! Kenneth was a great tour guide, giving us information about each of the breweries we went to. He also sat with us at each location and it was cool getting to know him. He gave us plenty of notice about when we were leaving and made sure everyone was accounted for before moving on to the next location. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great time on this tour! James was very knowledgeable about Austin and beer! He was also a pleasure to hang out with!

Kenneth was our guide to a number of Austin breweries last weekend. It was nice to get out into some lesser-known areas of the city to try some different beers and see the setup. No complaints at all. Thanks Kenneth!

Apparently it's become a tradition that we do a brewery tour when we travel.
One of the breweries I was told I MUST visit, while in Austin, was Jester King.
Searched online for brewery tours that included this and finally decided on Austin Brewery Tours.

Almost daily tours, online booking was so easy, and we got a reminder, a couple of days earlier to our tour, via email.

Tour starts at noon. Meetup time was 11:30am.
At around 11:25am the van was there. Out comes Shane, owner and tour guide.
He immediately introduced himself, thanked us for being on time and proceeded to ask us our names and where we were from.
Once the other people taking the tour arrived, we were all introduced and in the van we went.

During the time we were driving, he would ask us questions to get to know us better, and see the style of beers we liked.
He also gave us an intro of each of the breweries we would visit.
He made the time driving pass by fast and welcomed all questions we could have.

At each of the breweries, he explained the process and what we had included in the price of the tour.
At Jester King, they even had a special release and he bought a sample of each (which was not included in the price but he gifted us with it) making sure we had the complete experience.

You can tell he enjoys doing these tours and meeting the people.
He even took us to Revolution - which was in front of one of the breweries we visited - to try locally made flavored gin.
So greateful he allowed us to do this quick stop - this was delicious, and gave me the opportunity to talk more with one of the ladies on the tour, exchanging ideas on recipes with the gin we had just tried.

Shane is grate at incorporating everyone in the tour and conversations. He allows you plenty of time to enjoy each brewery and every beer you choose.
He is now friends with the staff at each of these breweries, which works on the advantage of everyone in the tour since we got excellent/ friendly service at each stop.

Best part of this all, is you meet new people, get to enjoy all the beer you can drink, and don't have to drive.
Great way to spend a day in Austin. If looking for a beer tour, look no further, this is it!

Shane, with Austin Brewery Tours was awesome. We went to three breweries, Hi Sign, Independence, and Nomodic. Shane was very informative and knowledgeable.

I arrived in Austin, TX on 10/18/18 with no plans until the following day and thought a tour was a good idea. However all the traditional tours appeared to be booked. I stumbled upon the Austin Brewery Tours' website while searching on Yelp for ideas.

I had an awesome time exploring Austin's growing beer scene. I also had a great time meeting and making friends the other tourists on our tour.

I enjoyed all of the 3 breweries but the behind the scene tour at Independence Brewing Co. made it my favorite.

The price is very fair when you consider it includes your tastings and tips for your severs.

In a nutshell, a good alternative tour for those interested in the Austin craft beer scene.

Great, we'll-run tour. Logistics were easy and Kenneth was a great tour guide. Will do again when in town!

So the scene is a bunch of guys down to Austin from NJ/NY for our buddies bachelor party. Of all the awesome people we met and food we ate, our guide Shane as well as the guys at the Lotus Joint food truck were freakin awesome!

SXSW had Austin jammed with a lot to do but Shane made sure we got to see Austin and its beer community like the locals do. He was insanely knowledgeable not just about beer but also about Texas. When you've solo traveled the world like he has, you gain a perspective that makes you far more relatable too which made him an all around cool guy to hangout with.

Most important.. The beers were phenomenal! (Try the goat tacos at Lotus also!)

In town for a day, a week, or a life time - Hands down recommend this for anyone in Austin!

In our group lived in Austin so it was good to get some info about the city and neighborhoods. The 3 breweries we stopped at were all unique from each other in size, atmosphere, and beers. At each stop you choose two beers to try which is great. We've been on other tours where you do not pick. We were given about an hour at each stop which was ample time. I would highly recommend this tour company!
