The best bakery in the Boston area. Authentic Italian. Everything is made fresh with the finest ingredients. The cannolis are excellent. The shells are made in sight the old fashion way. The lobster tails are wonderful. My favorite is the zeppole San Giuseppe. Yellow crème with cherries. Italian tradition for March but can be found year round. These are my three favorites. Our family has been coming here for years. My sons love the Whoopi pies. Can't go wrong with the cakes, especially birthday cakes. Real whip crème is the key. Remember to try the Cannolis. Enjoy this gem of an Italian bakery

Service was amazing, taste is out of this world; and all for a very fair price! I was able to get sweets for my whole family for under $20, and the low price is no indicator of the quality; everything is delicious. The cannolis are the best I've ever had. Arthur's is one of the most underrated places in Medford.

Amazing chocolate mousse cake! Light and airy, not too sweet. Also great service. The cookies in the shop looked really nice.

My roommate surprised me with a birthday cake from Arthur's on my birthday and it was seriously the best birthday surprise. I LOVE CARROT CAKE, and this cake was delicious - it's in the fridge now and definitely a special treat thing bc the frosting is A LOT (the cake is def like 70% frosting , 30% cake kind of), it's very sweet but a bit on never hurt nobody. Their carrot cake is seriously delicious though, their cakes are also BIG.

The whoopie ours and cream puffs are amazing, along with everything else. Rene, the manager, is a wonderful and patient person who makes everyone feel welcome.

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon as we were driving by and the young lady behind the counter could not be friendlier or more helpful.
A friend and I decided to try the bismark, upside down cassata, the puff pastry filled with whipped cream and apple and some Italian cookies...not all in one sitting.
Bismark pastry tasted stale, cream a little sweeter than we preferred. Cassata also tasted a bit stale and was very sweet even without the cream on top which we both scraped off because it was way too sweet, alone, much less eating it with the cassata. The cream in the bismark was different from the cream on top of the cassata (which seemed more like a butter cream vs whipped cream).
Haven't tried the apple puff pastry yet, saving it for tomorrow but anticipate it also being quite sweet. Took a bite of a pistachio macaroon and it was also very sweet.
5 for friendliness and service
3 for pastries (per our tastes)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Summer C.Boston, MA0126Jan 17, 2022
The building is definitely a bit outdated. Parking is street if you can find a spot. Very friendly service. Was able to buy a gift package as well as have a delicious whoopie pie for myself. Cash only. Not sure if I'll make the trek out again.
