My food was warm and i didn't die. My Margarita didn't taste like it had any alcohol in it but the cop who pulled me over had a different point of view

The gal at the front was super nice, the waiter was also very nice and really.
Place is so so as for cleanliness.
Now we had spinach dip with chips A+
I think the salsa and dip are great. Chips are not old and dip was hot.
Next was kids quesadilla with fries, burger ( pink) with fries and chicken Alfredo with broccoli.
The fries are as old as time and the burger Pattie was from the same time.
I had asked for new fries for the kids meal as well and the burger, the waiter was nice and replaced them.
I did NOT tell him to about my burger because I've worked in restaurants and know the return policyHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ian B.Pico-Robertson, Los Angeles, CA0153Dec 12, 2023
The staff were nice and the food was okay. I JUST did a to go order minutes ago for an impossible burger and fries. It took me less than two minutes to eat my food and i'm still hungry. The burger was slightly too big to be considered a slider and the fries were equivalent to a small fries from a fast food place.
The cost: $20 plus I gave a $4 tip b/c the staff was nice.
I know companies are struggling and inflation is a thing but this is egregious. You might as well have slapped me in the face at the cash register.
That was my first and last impression.
Potatoes don't cost very much. How much to you have to skim on orders to remain profitable? There is no excuse for how few fries I got in my order. Ridiculous. Don't go here.
See picture: I ate one fry prior to taking that shot.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Deena S.Chicago, IL046Apr 5, 2024
Team and carside service are always great. HOWEVER. . .
I ordered a whole rack of their "Double- Glazed Baby Back Ribs are slow- cooked for that fall-off-the-bone perfection." The meat was extremely dry and I had to use a steak knife to cut each rib apart; I won't go into details about how challenging it was to eat them off of the rib. I've NEVER had ribs this dried out, so disappointed.
I also ordered boneless wings, assuming that they were chicken, but I have no idea what the meat was! It didn't have the texture of any kind of meat I've ever eaten - I spat it out after I chewed it a couple of times. Needless to say, this was the BIGGEST waste of a $45 pickup order for food EVER. YUK, Applebee's YUKKA VALLEY, just YUK.
I should have gone to Dickey's.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kenny G.Escondido, CA01Feb 25, 2024
Food was great, service was super efficient (most impressive was that she took our 3 orders without a notepad and everything was exactly correct and two people brought out our 3 orders relatively quickly and everything was exactly as ordered.
Reason for a 1 star instead of 5-star: We go here every 2-3 weeks when we come up to our property at JT. We have a doggie so eat outside [still nice tables and great service]. HOWEVER: their heat lamps outside have been broken forever! When weather first turned cold last fall [and every time we've gone thru the winter and including last night], we request to turn on the overhead heat lamps. They say "oh they just broke, but we have a work order filed and they will be fixed next time you come".
We're very displeased that they train all their wait-staff to lie thru their teeth. If the wait staff would just say "The heat lamps have been broken forever and the mgmt doesn't want to spend a dime towards fixes, so wear a warmer hoodie coat when you come next time" we would at least appreciate the honesty, dress warmer, and know what we're in for.
Great food and service, but it is a shame that mgmt instructs the wait-staff to lie to good (and quite frequent) customers.
We've eaten all over JT and YV and this Applebee's is definitely our favorite for the food and the margaritas ... but it is a dis-pleaser they're not willing to spend a few Watts to warm their outside tables, and us doggie-lovers have to sit there shivering with 10 lbs of goosebumps.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hannah M.Los Angeles, CA021Feb 19, 2023
Last Friday night my friends and I made a tactical error or the best decision of our lives. We ate a handful of m*gical mushrooms and experienced the entire spectrum of human emotion inside the Yucca Valley Applebee's.
First let me describe the ambience. This Applebee's is seriously dark sided. The walls are plastered with children. Yes, children. Some disturbed human being decided it was a good idea to create a photo collage of the local high school class of 2014 and plaster it on the walls. Life size children stare at you from every wall, faces permanently frozen in what I can only imagine to be anguish, while you try to eat your 2 for $25 chicken tenders. The carpet is a graveyard of croutons and sadness. The bathrooms are void of joy and toilet seat covers. Four television screens all play the same channel--a synchronized dance of terror. The children seem to know what you're walking into as you pass them on the walls. "Go back while you still can," they plead with their eyes.
But we didn't listen.
Now to the food. Filled with neon drinks and chicken wings seasoned in pulverized Cheetos, the Applebee's menu is less of a menu than it is a pamphlet on the dangers of late stage capitalism. In order to feed your family an affordable meal, it can't actually be with real food but a distant relative of it. The burger tastes like suffering. The broccoli comes out soft and seasoned in what tastes like human tears. The chicken tenders are hard and vaguely threatening. And the cocktails are an afront to god's green earth and taste like Fabuloso cleaning solution but are only $6!
Now if you're reading this and wondering...if the Yucca Valley Applebee's ambience and food are truly that bad, then WHY the hell are you giving it a 5 star review...let me explain. The reason I am giving this absolutely cursed Applebee's a 5 star review is because of the staff.
The hostess stands like a Charon at the gates of this Applebee's, ready to safely ferry lost souls to the underworld. The kitchen staff are given the absolute bare minimum to work with and still make a perfectly cooked steak and could probably all successfully storm Normandy. Our server very well may be an ancient tree spirit. She is perfect. She even wears little gemstones on her face bellow her eyes ever so gently reminding you there is still beauty in this world. The Yucca Valley Applebee's staff all deserve a 50% tip and a handshake from Bill & TJ Palmer themselves.
All this to say, you absolutely should visit the Yucca Valley Applebee's. You will come out a stronger, more deeply formed human being with a greater appreciation for the natural beauty and splendor of our universe.
Godspeed.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 1 - Martin C.CA, CA011Jul 31, 2023
Absolutely terrible food. I ordered the four cheese Mac n cheese with the honey pepper chicken tenders and the noodles were severely overcooked, they managed to miss the tenders completely with the sauce and put it all on the noodles, and to top it all off I damn near choked on the chalk stick they gave me I mean bread stick.

Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Joshua Tree.
Came to this place for lunch and dinner with my boyfriend. After going to a place where we had a bad experience and another place that will take over one hour for food to be served, we decided to come here for the second time in the same day.
We got 2 for $35 both times because it's such a good deal. Included in our order was an appetizer and 2 entrees.
We were seated right away both times. The food came at reasonable amount of times. There was also wifi.
For lunch, they seated us at a small table even though there were plenty of open seating. The salad we ordered for our lunch appetizer was not fresh as the ends of the salad greens were black. The restroom was stinky.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cierra F.Twentynine Palms, CA132258Sep 6, 2023
I'm my favorite waitress :D if there's an issue while dining in, it can and will be fixed if the option to is present....
