Rip off! Don't go! Went there cause of broken tooth...charged me few hundred dollars for x-rays. taught me how to floss ( are you kidding) and wrote me an Rx for pain and charged me again for the emergency visit. Then had a treatment plan of all the other problems of my teeth...I went to my regular dentist and he said my teeth is fine. Of course I lost all the money I gave this office. I called them back and told them I'm not coming back. "Oh you know you will lose your money" expected it so I just left it at that.

Dr. Oswick is not your cozy southern doctor. He walks around with a light strapped on his head and he is a perfectionist. I'm ok with all of that.
Dr. Oswick is the only dentist I will see down here. I'm from New York and Boston and am used to the best in medical care. I don't trust the dentists down here, with homespun charm, who will cheerfully mess up your teeth.
Dr. Oswick made me take four impressions because he wanted two that were perfect. The crown was perfect. The appointment was long as a result- I'm also very ok with that.
My teeth feel and look great.
Highly recommend.
Be prepared to pay up front. Totally worth it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 14, 2013Previous reviewI do research for a living and I'm very picky about my dentists. I know and have been to a lot of dentists with a great bedside manner who just as cheerfully will put poison in your mouth (look up mercury amalgam - you will be amazed).
Dr. Oswick is not your cheery countryside folksy mannered doctor, but he is an outstanding dentist. He spent more time making sure my temporary crown was right than most dentists spend on the real crown. He did four (!) impressions because he wanted two that were perfect. He is the real deal. And he doesn't deal in poisonous mercury - because he is the real deal. I cannot recommend him highly enough if you are - like me - results oriented. My teeth look and feel great. I usually don't trust anyone here in Orlando - I go back to New York, where I'm from for serious dentistry - but this dentist I will go to. Be prepared to have to pay in advance, but he is worth every penny. - John B.San Francisco, CA02Dec 18, 2023
Terrible experience - emergency dentist SCAM. avoid at all
cost. This practice will take your money and not take care of you.
multiple complaints - check out google. He has his friends write fake reviews - so do not believe the positive reviewsHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ariana R.Orlando, FL1312Oct 31, 2020
First, if you check the Google reviews you will see that this practice replies to poor reviews with giving out the patient's phone number in a petty way. Who does that?
Second, they are not a true emergency dental practice as they go by appointment's only. At least, that is what I have been told when I call. They are always "too booked".
Third, they prescribe medication based on a short questionnaire which has questions such as, "Are you in pain?" "Are you experiencing swelling?" - So, yes they prescribe medications without seeing the patients first. Instead, they go off of their symptoms.
Fourth, the man who answers the phone seems to have a attitude or just a voice that is tired of working and is ready to retire. As he said he has been with the practice for many, many years. When dealing with patients who have pain, I would expect a little more empathy being shown.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauryn B.Salem, IL1055May 12, 2023
I am so thankful for this dental office! They saved our vacation. Long story short...I started getting a toothache on the 2nd day of our vacation. I thought it was just tooth sensitivity but it was getting progressively worse. At bedtime last Saturday night, I realized it was bad enough that I couldn't sleep and we were supposed to go to Epcot the next morning. I was in tears and started searching. I found this phone number for a 24 hour dentist and decided to give it a try. Great decision! He asked me what the issue was and said it sounded like an infection. I sent him a picture of the tooth that was hurting. Within 15 minutes, he had called in a prescription for antibiotics for me to a 24 hour pharmacy close to my hotel. Once I had my antibiotic and took OTC pain medicine, I was asleep by 2am and my family and I made it to the parks and enjoyed the rest of our vacation! By the end of the 2nd day of antibiotics, I had no pain but he told me if I still had pain, they could get me in first thing in the morning to fix the issue. Thankfully I didn't even need to do that. So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

This man os a butcher. Broke 2 teeth putting in a bridge and billed me for them to be fixed. Oral surgeon he sent me to told him i had a tumor on my jaw he blew it off and said don't worry about it. It is now causing numbness and pain on nerve. I need to a oncologist to see what to do. AVOID THIS BUTCHER AT ALL COST UNLESS YOU HATE YOURSELF OR THE PERSON YOU BROUGHT. HE IS ONLY AFTER MONEY. HE TREATS WOMEN LIKE CRAP ALSO.

Never ever go here! He saw my husband charged us about $950 for a tooth extraction, took forever to pull that tooth out after using a drill, pliers, and so much tools he finally pulled it out by breaking it into peices, then he made me sign a paper stating that peice was left and he's unable to pull it out due to it being close to a nerve. He stitched my husband up and sent him home. Today we are at another decent dentist and he did xrays and said the tooth is no where near the nerve. And that this quack made it actually more hard for them. I'm warning you guys do your research and don't be fooled! He was also yelling at his nurse with him because he was getting tired of pulling the tooth and it wouldn't budge. Also if they say give them the insurance info they will bill and see if they cover, don't..

This practice claims and advertises on their webpage to be a true Emergency and Urgent care dentist.
However, they are NOT. They may have someone filtering calls, but for the most part is only a phone consultation.
First, I called after hours with no answer, left a message and got a response 7 hours later.
Second, they offered me to book an appointment 2 days later. WTH!!!. Claiming that were all booked up.
How is a 24 hr dentist office all booked up continuously?
When I asked which hours they were seeing patients today (Sunday) the manager responded with 8-5. Which means there is no staff on call or at the office after hoursto take care of true emergent patients
Moreover, when asked if they had patients at 10 pm or 1am today, they didnt know how to answer. Leads me to believe they are NOT truly 24hr operation as they claim where they can have a patient come in at any time of the day, with staffing that will answer phones any time of the day, or even walk-ins for significant trauma.
Terrible. ShamefulHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alex R.Orlando, FL042Dec 30, 2020
Great dentist. I can't say enough good about this husband and wife team- they are extremely thorough and have practiced a very long time in the Orlando area. I've known people who have gone to them for years and they are beyond thorough and will help you with your teeth and make sure it's done correctly and the best way possible. Highly recommend!

Dr. Oswisk saw me on short notice when I was down for spring break. Instead of getting frustrated when we couldn't narrow down what tooth was hurting me, he was patient and conservative. He suggested giving it a couple days to let the pain localize. He gave me a prescription which relieved a lot of the pain. A couple days later I saw my dentist at home and could better figure out which tooth it was. He is a straight shooter with a good sense of humor. He tolerated my quirky questions and even gave me advice for choosing a dentist back home. He offered advice for some other teeth that needed work, even though he knew he wouldn't get the work since it was my spring break. He followed up with several calls after the appointment to make sure everything was ok. Overall a good dude.
