I've been here a number of times and the food is good. I would always have given it 4 stars for sure. However, I happen to have had the Chicken Primavera the last time and it was absolutely fantastic! Huge portion, lots of vegeables and savory, light sauce with mushrooms on a really big piece of chicken. Cooked perfectly. I ate at the bar and was served by the bartender for both food and liquor. He was the ONLY bartender. This guy was the hardest working person in the whole restaurant. I don't know how he did it all - and was so happy the whole time. Best customer experience in a long time and I have found my new go to dish.

We are happy you enjoyed dining with us. The Pechuga Primavera is one of our favorites as well. You might also like the Gabriella with chicken enchiladas with sauteéd vegetables. Thank you for your review, Jeff.

Been eating here for nearly ten years at this point and I can say Animia's Tex Mex rarely disappoints. The service is always great and never have I ever had an order go wrong here.

Was one of our go to spots when we lived in Flower Mound. In town for work and had to go back. As good as I remember. Table side guacamole is the best, margaritas as amazing and can't beat the brisket quesadillas! Service was excellent too! Brought back good memories. Wish they had a restaurant in Leander.

I LOVE ANAMIAS! My co worker brought me here for lunch and I was hooked. Since then we come here what it seems once a week for lunch lol. Their manager Alfredo is always very nice to us and so is the staff. My favorite plate would have to be the salmon a la parrillada, coconut palapa as dessert!
Alfredo makes the best margaritas!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

My wife likes the food here but I am not a fan. I prefer a more traditional Mexican fare.

We are so glad that you gave us another try, Shelby. We are thrilled that you enjoyed Anamia's!
Mar 29, 2018Previous reviewOutstanding Mexican food! Crisp chips as addictive as crack. Crazy good salsa. Super fast kitchen, all dinners superb.
May 5, 2013Previous reviewMy second review of Anamias. This time was disappointing.
The refried beans are bland, and the Spanish rice has no flavor at all.
My wife and I experienced unpleasant affects from our meals for two days, mostly due to what felt like a heavy dose of sodium and MSG like seasonings. We both have allergies to the MSG family of food additives, and we both had reactions.
We will not return.Apr 29, 2012Previous reviewThis is one of the better non-corporate chain Eateries in flower mound.
The shrimp enchiladas are outstanding!
The Cowboy is a good mix of items with the brisket taco being the best.
Chips are great and salsa is just so-so.
The rice is very bland....c'mon Anamias, get a recipe for rice!
Good service, long waits on weekends. - Mike C.Charlotte, NC252671350May 13, 2023Updated review

The Patio was nice and relaxing. We absolutely love this place. - Dec 21, 2021
Thr FloMo area offers many Mexican restaurants to chose from and this Monday night we decided on Anamias
We used to go here regularly and always found it one of the best options for Mexican cuisine . Having the yen for good tasty food Anamias was our destination
My wife had the salmon entree and I had the cowboy (a trio of a cheese enchilada/taco and tamale) All dishes needed salt and my dish in particular lacked sharpness and flavor
Not having been to Anamias in years I was disappointed with our final return

We had lunch there with a friend. Fantastic service and the food was very tasty. A little too much on the onions for the fajitas and could have used a little more peppers but other than that, everything was delicious. I had fish tacos and they were great.
