Not a great selection or variety of brands or products, out of date or expired merch. Cookie cutter one size fits all, very bland

I was visiting some elderly relatives in the area when it turned out they had a lot of housework tasks and repairs that needed done. Being handy around the house, I figured I'd help them out. Wanting to give patronage to a local small business instead of driving out to a big chain (and the closest Lowe's or Home Depot was significantly further away), I thought I could pop in here and pick up some tools and supplies to help my folks out.
I step inside to shop, and find the place has a pretty limited selection, and prices were pretty high. I fully expect prices to be a little higher than a chain "big box" store, but this wasn't a slight markup, this was ridiculous.
The place also felt very creepy and unwelcoming, the guy working there seemed to be hostile and judgmental and said some very unwelcoming and insensitive things when I was around. It was definitely not a friendly store to shop in.
I browsed for a bit, didn't feel very welcome and didn't feel that I would get a good deal or good service here, so I left and went to a big chain store further away. Driving the extra distance for a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service (and better selection and prices) was worth it.Helpful 32Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mark S.Eugene, OR392491Mar 1, 2016
I was in town for just a short visit with family. I needed some supplies and headed to what I thought would be a nice friendly local shop.
It was nothing like that at all. The employees we very hostile and seemed to dislike me just because. I am not sure what i did to make everyone treat me so poorly. I actually felt afraid for my safety.
I left the store without making a purchase, and would encourage people to avoid the area. I thought the south was known for it's hospitality?

I visited several weeks ago to purchase a few items to fix my broken vehicle. During my visit, I asked about a tool I was looking for and was forced to listen to several long, irrelevant speeches about how horrible "sodomites" and "gay people" are.
Needless to say, the owner (Jeff Amyx), who continued on these rants, did not allow me to purchase the tool I needed. This guy was also quite rude, suggested I "was gay" when I asked if I could just be checked out, and told me to never come back. I felt this was very unprofessional and outright uncalled for.
TL;DR - All I needed was a tool to fix my car, was insulted by the owner for no reason, and couldn't buy the item I needed. Total waste of time.Helpful 124Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Ev N.San Diego, CA16240Oct 24, 2019
I walked in and was looked at like I was an alien when I was visiting from out of town.. I noticed the employee treated other customers with such warm smiles and tone of voice.. But when it came to me he looked upset I even came in.. I don't know what I did but I did not feel welcome. My friend and I felt really uncomfortable and decided to just leave. Not a good selection anyway. As we walked out they eyed us like we were criminals. Lol I dress very nicely and am in my mid 30s. I wasn't walking in the store looking like a criminal or wearing baggy clothes... Some folks just can't be happy. Sigh

Poor service. Workers not friendly. Inventory was a mess. Place was a bit dirty. The guy that owned the place smelled like he hadn't bathed in a week. He had really bad body odor. He kept trying to help me but I just wanted to get away from him. He stunk! They were actually out of a very common part for a toilet. Really no excuse to be out of very common parts. I think the place is poorly managed. Don't waste your time going to this place.

I went in with a simple request, can you find me a good screw? The screw that I was given was of an inferior make and didn't even look like it would work correctly. The tip was very dull and the threads definitely appeared to be very backwards. On top of all of this, there was significant corrosion which indicated to me that the box of screws had been submerged in some type of liquid or gel. Not sure what this screw had been subjected to but I decided to go to the Home Depot instead.

Stopped by to get some house repair odds and ends. Store was poorly organised, very dusty, and the stock was limited. If that weren't frustrating enough, the staff were unhelpful and unwelcoming, so I left empty handed. I try to shop local when I can, and support small business, but I wouldn't waste my time here. Overall, a supremely disappointing experience.

Could only find tiny tiny screws. On a related note, the owner seemed very angry and upset about life.

Decent prices. Was in town for work and needed some tools and some parts to fix up my rental truck and this place had everything I needed. Great employees too!
