Absolutely horrible customer service. The entire experience with them was absolutely dreadful. They are absolute scam artists. AVOID THEM!

I ordered my Eclipse glasses (min order 25) directly from their website on Thursday 8/17. I paid for overnight shipping. The American Paper Optics website stated for orders after 2PM (their time) on Thursday 8/17; orders would arrive Saturday 8/19.
FedEx send me notification that they would arrive on Friday 8/18 before 10:30AM , but they were still in Memphis and did not leave Memphis until 3:30PM. I became worried, but this was FedEx not the vendor messing up.
FedEx delivered the items securely packaged in a round box on Saturday 8/19 at 10:03AM. The box was clearly marked for a Saturday delivery. So I fault FedEx for sending me incorrect notification of a Friday delivery.
I am very happy with my order, even so I only needed 5 pairs, but with all the bad reviews on Amazon with items not being delivered as promised, I am happy I went directly to the American Optics Website and ordered my Eclipse glasses there. The price per pair was fair ($4.00).
Some of my daughters friends now have glasses too, because we did not need all 25.
I cancelled my Amazon order of $89.99 for 5 pairs immediately after I ordered these from American Paper Optics. You can see the price gauging that was going on on Amazon.
I like to say here that my daughter also ordered 5 pairs from Amazon on Thursday (8/17) and they did NOT get here as promised on Saturday(8/19). She was so disappointed when she found out from Amazon they had not shipped or were going to ship. I did not tell her that I already had an order received until she got home from work Saturday night, imagine her happy dance
There was no need for Customer service contact, because my items shipped as promised.
BTW by Thursday night their glasses were sold out. I am so lucky/happy to still get my order in!

Order for eclipse glasses taken, processed, and identified as shipped. Went back 4 days later to order tracking...not shipped. Went to USPS, status was pre-ship, meaning USPS had not received the shipment. Now stuck borrowing and hoping for a cancelled order and refund. Not too optimistic re: either.

I bought some eclipse glasses from this company and noticed that there was no ISO information anywhere printed on them and when I had them over my eyes I saw a mirror image, the inner layer was the same as the outer layer. Other glasses are completely dark in the inside. Anyway, I tried calling this company for over a week, no one answered the phone, I even left messages a few times on the answering machine when it did come on, no response. Finally, one time I did get someone on the phone, Vicky, who as soon as I explained to her my concern, became very defensive, rude and extremely nasty, telling me to send pics of my glasses to her email then hanging up on me before I even had a chance to finish my thought. I sent the email and followed up to see if she got it. This time a guy answered, wouldn't tell me his name and was also defensive, rude and hostile.

The purpose of the phone call was that I experienced blurry vision and dizziness after using these glasses( during the eclipse) and also shared them with other people who also experienced similar symptoms. There was a lot of talk about fake glasses and scammers stealing logos and info of legitimate companies to make fake, ineffective glasses that can be harmful to the eyes.

The fact that both these people responded to me like that makes me feel more suspicious that these glasses were illegitimate. I hope other people see this posting and stay far away from this company. This company should be under federal and state investigation to see if their products are valid.

BUYER BEWARE!

This company will have no difficulty charging your card. After that, you may be on your own. I would not rely on any order time frames provided.

The prices are not bad if you ordered in time. it just seems somewhat like a self-service operation with no customer service after the point of sale.

APO produces CE certified solar viewers. If used correctly, you should still be able to see after a solar eclipse. If your order is processed correctly, you might leave 5 star feedback!

Otherwise, the stars might have to be aligned in just the right way (probably when there is no recent or impending solar eclipse or other cosmological event) to get in contact with APO.

It was impossible for me to get in touch with this company either by e-mail (both addresses) and phone (both phone numbers). You may have better luck on Facebook, if you leave a good review.... Alternatively, negative comments to positive feedback on this company's facebook also seems to get a response. I have since given up on getting in touch with this company, thus the 1 star review (which I am open to changing, if I get my issue resolved...). I'm not betting on it. But, for better or worse, I don't think I should have to resort to these methods.

I am updating my review to reflect that APO has made good on refunding me the requested amount for the issue in receiving my eclipse glasses. It took us awhile to reach this point but in the end, it worked out. I appreciate that they took care of the issue.

Side note: there was no problem with the glasses themselves; they worked well. It was a delivery problem and that has now been resolved to my satisfaction.

My order for Eclipse Glasses was missing a pair. They responded to my first email saying it was "in the mail". Of course, I never received them. I sent several emails begging for them to fulfill my order which they had already charged my credit card for in full. My second and third email were never even acknowledged. ---Very Poor Management---

I ordered my glasses on Tuesday and got them Friday morning! The customer service is unreachable which left me in double about if I can get mine this weekend, in time for the eclipse. I can imagine how crazy it is for them to handle these overwhelming amount of orders. But overall I am happy. Hope in the future they have a better system to handle customer complaints.

Customer service is non existent. The phone number's voicemail was always full. They did not respond to multiple emails sent via their website and directly to their email address.
