Cute little bakery near U of T. We appreciated so many gluten free and vegan options. Across separate days, we had plenty of coffee, apple cheddar bagel, cinnamon bun, date/oat square and a peanut butter sandwich cookie.

I am not sure if there is a design flaw with the coffee cups but for some reason, on separate days, two of us had spills. Just something to be careful about. The coffee was delicious. They have alternative milks if needed.

The apple cheddar bagel was apparently huge and delicious. The date/oat square has an unexpected shortbread crust that was excellent. The peanut butter sandwich cookie had too much filling for me, but let's get real I are the whole thing - next time I would opt for a regular peanut butter cookie.

I would definitely repeat if in the area again.

Almond Butterfly is cute! I was on foot and needing a quick break and a cup of coffee. I learned immediately that Almond Butterfly caters to gluten-free folks looking for bakery. I'm not gluten-free so I can't speak to quality, but I really appreciate them filling this niche for their community.

I wish they had just a few more spaces to sit down (there were just a handful of counter stools when I visited), because it would have been really enjoyable to sit down and just enjoy the space. But, I think its meant to be take-out only and they had quite a bit of signage indicating pre-orders.

Almond Butterfly has a great walkable location in Harbord Village near several other local businesses, which makes for a pleasant stretch of exploration. The people inside working were very nice, and I'd recommend this snug spot for anyone needing gluten-free or vegan options in Harbord.

I got the hot chocolate made with coconut milk. It arrived cold, and was not as well-flavoured as the hot chocolate from Impact Kitchen. I also got a muffin of the day which was gluten free, dairy, free, and looked like it had carrots in it with a very lovely, strong lemon flavor that I really appreciated. It was fresh and great!

I got the vegan gluten-free bagel with spinach, red onion, tomato cucumber, and Daiya herbed cream cheese. The bagel was not toasted as it was supposed to be nor did it have sesame seeds on top, but it was pretty good with the toppings except for the onion, which should have been more than one tiny slice .

Overall, I enjoyed the food and was grateful for gluten-free dairy. Free options. Vegan Daiya cheese is really bad but the cream cheese was OK. I would just change the brand of vegan cheese that they use because Daiya is subpar.

My camera automatically uploaded this photo which I guess it from years ago.

Did I order the wrong items or come on a bad day? Maybe I had high expectations due to the many praises I see from my fellow Yelpers, but this is what I experienced:

First of all, I was craving me some good cookies. Those fresh baked ones that are slightly crunchy on the outside and deliciously chewy on the inside. And yes, GF V versions of those do exist. However, both the sugar cookie and chocolate chunk cookies looked deceptively thicc but came out crumbly and crispy. The sugar cookie tasted nice but the chocolate chunk had overbaked edges (slightly burnt taste). If the cookies were meant to be crisoy, they should've been made thinner because thick crunchy cookies are no fun for the roof of your mouth. I threw these away after a bite :(

Perhaps I should've gotten their breads or anything else, but alas, I made the wrong decision today. I don't think I'd come here again.

Very sweet staff. Disgusting, godawful food. I would sooner eat rocks before I ate another sandwich from there. Thinking about the sandwich I ate from there makes me not want to live. But we soldier on.

The shop was so nice inside and the employee who helped us was super friendly and helpful. They did have nondairy/vegan milk which was good, but I thought the coffee wasn't the greatest. I got a latte and it tasted very weak and watered down to me. This place is a great option if you have a gluten allergy because they have a ton of options in the bakery and all of them are gluten free! I'm talking about cupcakes, cookies, chocolate lava cake. They have it all.

While traveling, I do my best to scope out gluten free bakeries to try. Sometimes, they are ok, and sometimes they are hands down amazing! In this case, I wish I would have ordered even more than I did. I got a chocolate chip cookie, two muffins, a chai tea, and a veggie bagel. The muffins held up extremely well, I bought them to eat for breakfast the following two days, and they were moist and delicious. The veggie bagel sandwich was huge! And delicious. I got the dill garlic spread on it and that was the cherry on a very scrumptious bagel. I wish I loved near this gem. I'd eat here on the daily if I did. Prices were standard for gluten free items. Service was great.

This is one of my friends favorite spots in Toronto so I wanted to visit with her. It was just as great as she said it was!

We ate outside during brunch hours on a Saturday. I got the Farmer's Breakfast and an iced vanilla latte. The prices are higher than other spots but they accommodate so many allergen and dietary needs (vegan, gluten free, dairy, etc).

The quality of the food was excellent. I especially loved the Cajun Potatoes that came with the Farmer's Breakfast. So perfectly crispy on the outside. The pancakes were fluffy and filling, too. Everything was delicious!

Service was good 4/5 they were helpful and patient

The iced Americano I got was just watery and awful I didn't finish it. I also tried the marble cookie which is supposed to be a popular flavour. It was bland I couldn't tell the chocolate from the vanilla it all taste the same and was not sweet I was extremely disappointed at only half.

I also got a can of cold brew by propeller which was good but that's not there brand‍

They had lots of vegan options which I bought 2 cupcakes for a friend. Really pretty and they were tasty
