Akita Hibachi Sushi

My son's favorite spot! Always a nice time and everything is good. Great sushi options.

The food is very good but it smells so bad in the place from the bathroom sewer issue. It actually smell like piles of fresh POOP!!!! IT IS SO BAD !!!

I feel so pad to have to report this but it needs to be said. I literally got SICK TO my stomach.

Sucks. I drive an hour here becuse on the website says the close @245 , on the door says 3. But I get here at 215 and they're not sitting people. Don't waste your time. Horrible management and staff

Akita Hibachi & Sushi Grill is one of my favorites in Cedar Hill. Every time I go, my experience is always great. I usually go during lunch, my wait time is always short, the service is quick, and most importantly the food is so good. I've been able to try their chicken, steak, shrimp, and veggie hibachi, salad, soup, and shrimp and veggie tempura and I love it all. It's the way everything is seasoned and cooked that makes it so good to me. I also love seeing my food cooked in front of me and having the option to sit at a booth.

I had the salmon dinner which was the salmon with a wasabi and soy glaze. There was a soy glaze but the wasabi was missing for me. The salmon was moist and tasted great but the punch of the wasabi was missing! The lichee alcoholic beverage was awesome! It captured the essence of the lechee fruit! My companion had the ny steak dinner which was cooked perfectly for his taste. He thought it was not cooked to order but perhaps it was not cooked to the correct temperature to his liking. I enjoyed sharing his steak with him! The appetizers ordered were not as great as the description on the menu. The jalapeño poppers had imitation crab meat of which I am not a fan of. Once tasted I noticed that the jalapeño was not hot and the imitation crab meat was non describe in that it had no flavor. People go for the alcoholic beverage and stay for the food! I probably should've searched first but I was hungry and the fact I was really wanting Mediterranean but they were take out only might have influenced my taste buds however where is the flavor?

Now mind you I'm a recent Bariatric patient so yes things taste slightly different for me sometimes but thankfully I can tolerate heat because I had to use siracha mixed with the brown sauce and soy to eat my food & minus the yum yum sauce (that tasted like ranch to me...super weird) but the chef was amazing superb to be exact & I wish I would've gotten his name.

Maybe some garlic butter would've helped out maybe I should've packed seasonings but I encourage anyone to experience the hibachi experience if you haven't it's worth it. By the way the sushi rolls look amazing and have some catchy names but I can't tell you the how they taste though I stuck with hibachi dinner chicken and shrimp maybe I should go back for sushi we will see!

Always great food and the customer service is all way on par. It's my go to for sushi and hibachi

Worst place I've ever ate don't waste ur gas coming here I hated it and I can't believe this disgusting meal came from hibachi.

I didn't get what I paid for the service was horrible and you will never see me here again run while you can this is a disgrace to the hibachi name

I won't be coming back......came today to pick up a call in order. I've been waiting for 15 mins...the hostess comes to tell me sorry. We didn't cook your extra shrimp so it will be an additional 15 mins. So I ask, nicely, can you give us some egg rolls for the inconvenience. He said I doubt it. I asked him to go ask and he came back and said no.......no problem. Who won't be coming back to this place is me. Oh and he offered some extra sauce. Wtf am I going to do with some extra sauce? Smh. And we keep giving our money to these people.
