Airport National Golf Course, Range & Mini is a 27-Hole "Executive Style" Public Golf Course, complete with both a huge lighted Driving Range & new lighted Mini Course that were both voted the "Best in Cedar Rapids" recently. Airport National is open to golfers of any age and of any skill level. The original 18-hole golf course was built in 1993 and opened for play to the general public in 1994. Originally, Airport National was just 18 holes of scenic and fun family golf. In 2001, an additional 9 holes were built in a gently rolling area with many mature trees and a beautiful new pond, complete with a new "walking bridge", just to the East of the original 18-Holes of Golf. This final 9-hole addition makes teeing off on our 27-hole Public Golf Course, very fast & easy on most days; even as a "last minute walk-on" Our very experienced Staff includes 2 PGA Teaching Pros/Owners, who will also help anyone start, organize and run a 1st Class Golf Outing or from start to finish…

It's Minigolf. But boring. Unimaginative holes. Blah scenery. Etc.

We've looked for better / more interesting

Save your money! However, if you do decide to venture out to this mini golf course disguised as a real golf course, make sure you bring a helmet! Holes are far too close together in this version of goofy golf. The truly outrageous part? The prices are RIDICULOUS! My wife and I had a pass for free eighteen holes when you pay for a cart. We play a lot of different courses, and the average rate for a cart is about $20-25, so we decided to get a six pack as well. Our total was $80! You can go play top tier golf courses for the same price including the green fees and play real golf- not this lame par 60 something with several par threes under 100 yards and only a couple par fours over 275.

If you are looking to squeeze in 9, 18, or 27 holes, really quick, this may be the course for you. But if you are looking for a championship style golf course, I suggest looking elsewhere. There are a ton of par threes on the golf course. Which is fine, except for the fact that the holes are really close to one another. Might want to strap on a helmet! . In fact, there is actually a green that shares two different holes. That's just asking for trouble...At least with my golf game!! And while we are talking about the greens, I wish that they would tell people to repair their divots because they're obviously not going to do it on their own. All in all, a good place to get through some quick golf.

I was practicing my putting on Father's Day in the most sophisticated way possible... mini golf with a Barbie pink ball and children's sized putter. The place was packed due to Father's Day but everyone in the park was in a wonderful mood and the weather was perfect, so no one minded waiting to golf each hole.

The course is very well maintained and although it's not a glitzy, over-animated course with giant windmills and creepy clown faces, it still offers a lot of fun and unique challenges. My personal favorite was the Narrow Escape hole, where (spoiler alert!) your par will actually be better if you aim for the water.

A two hour mini golf extravaganza for $7 per adult... sign me up!

So let's cal this for what it is.. it's a budget farmland Iowa golf course that's close to a highway. The course is short and simple. It's great for practice or if you wanna squeeze in a quick round of golf before or after work. Playing the mid 9 takes about and hour or less.

The golf carts are awful. They're made from old Russian Lada parts and the parking brake will constantly disengage and send you chasing after the cart

The layout of this course is horrendous (especially the mid 9) where two holes share the same green. You have to cross between other holes to get to your next hole.. it's just poorly laid out.

The driving range is nice and so is the putt putt course. Prices are reasonable for the most part if you take advantage of their specials.

Only gripe I have is that they have these great outdoor flood lights but they never turn them on.. like if I'm gonna come spend $20 on beers and a bucket of balls turn the damn lights on so I can see.. super annoying.

It's a decent place. They keep it clean and maintain the place pretty well.

I only did the mini golf with my family, but I think it was sufficient to write this review. Given that good mini golf rates nationwide are like 10, with the most expensive in the country being like 12, I think 7 was a bit high for what it was: leftover part of a super massive golf course in the middle of nowhere. The land that it sits on was probably literally purchased for 1000 and property taxes are small. The holes are in fair condition; many of them are roughed up at the start. There is no imagination for the design, only a step up from the flat indoor courses, with two holes identical except for an inch or two difference in the bump height.

Basically, the have a minimally designed course, with no upkeep, low land price and taxes, and it cost my family 21? I don't think I'll be back. Oh, and the pictures of the "food" offerings were enough to make us sick. It scared us enough we drove 4 miles to Pancheros when finished.

One more thing, the driving range is mere feet from the mini golf. It has no dividers between those driving or putting. I was afraid I was going to get hit with an errant shot half the time.

Basically a beginners course, short and wide open with small greens. If you are looking for a practice and trying to build confidence, give it a try.

They charge you to ride with someone on a golf cart and don't tell you the correct price. They told me it was $13 total and charged me $25. A majority of the holes on this course are super short.

The mini golf is really nice here and the driving range is sweet! They have lights they'll turn on if your out there late. They have 27 holes of golf here but there are greens on other greens holes on top of other holes, pretty upsetting if you like to golf, this is more of a beginners golf course along with a drunks and you will see some people really intoxicated here trying to play.

Really nice driving range and golf facility. I work at the airport, so its really close to work. Pretty cool to see jets on final approach while taking some swings. Haven't tried the course yet, otherwise I'd rate higher.
