Decided to return here to help finish off our Toys for Tots punch card from last winter. It was a lovely sunny day and decided to sit outside. They were quite busy but had numerous servers. Unfortunately I think they were getting their signals crossed for who was handling whom. Nonetheless the servers were kind and trying to shuffle serving tables. The tasting menu had changed since November which meant trying different kinds! I really don't like Rose usually because it tends to have what I feel is a muddled taste not typically distinguishable... BUT I REALLY liked theirs!! So much so that we purchased a bottle for another day.
**2023 Sangiovese Rose: sweet with tinge of citrus; don't like rose but really liked it!!
**2022 Viognier: tart with strong apple taste; the tart was a bit strong for me but typically I like Viognier
**2020 Aviator: tastes of cherry and chocolate; medium dry- I don't love dry wines so it wasn't my favorite
**2020 Reserve Merlot: intense aroma with bold flavor of cherry and blackberry and chocolate and smokiness- and a tinge of dryness and some acidity going down; this one was ok just wish for less dryness
** 2020 Reserve Syrah: deep aroma of bold fruits like cherry plum hints of tobacco and dark chocolate; fruity taste with a delayed acidity with just a touch of dryness; my favorite of the three reds

Such a great cause supporting Toys for Tots- buy two gifts equal to $30+ and you earn four tastings at participating wineries.
We arrived not long before last call. It wasn't super busy which was nice because it was quiet and easy to talk to one another. The guy helping us and giving us interesting info about the winery, owners and the wines- was a nice guy with good wit. My favorite of the flight was 2022 SAUVIGNON BLANC... honestly I'm not usually a huge Sauvignon Blanc fan but for whatever reason this one was lovely!! It tasted more subtle, sweet, and smooth than the typical SB and I loved it. While chatting with the guy we told him my husband has a reaction to Syrah so he adapted the tasting menu to be a different wine- which was really appreciated AND really good business bc we ended up buying a bottle of the wine he swapped in for the Syrah! The bottle he swapped for was 2020 Founders H. Lloyd. We all thought it was super tasty!
It's the little things that really make businesses stand out and make you feel appreciated as a customer. We also bought a bottle of the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc because it was a surprising hit for me.
It was a nice evening with good wine. Give them a try during the Toys for Tastings- great way to support a great organization and try out some local wineries!!
I highly recommend visiting Airfield Estates and if there's something you need changed let them know bc they will aim to please!! - 54170587Jun 22, 2024
Fantastic wine with a great history. We tried wine flights and happily left with a bottle. The service was great! Dan serviced us and he was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and fun.

I came across an instagram "suggested" post for their mimosa flight and that pulled me. Funny thing is I didn't even order it and ended up with frose. I am a sucker for both but with summer ending, it felt appropriate to get the frose and come back for the mimosa flight another time. I am still planning on when I can make it back.
The tasting room is a decent size. Not large but there is both outside and inside seating. There is a couch/chair area at the front by the counter and then multiple times by the windows.
The staff is friendly and knowledgable and the wine selection has options. The time we came they were out of food but you can go right next door to order food and they will bring it to you! Such a nice option so you are not drinking on an empty stomach. Plus who doesn't love to much while drinking a flight of wine.

My friends and I came to Airfield on our own self-created wine tour that was entirely created based on where we parked. For the duration that we were there we were the only patrons but I suspect that this was due to the fact that it was still early in the morning and it was on a weekday. I imagine based on the quality of the wine alone this place becomes quite busy!
But we were lucky to be the exclusive focus of such great people. We each opted for a wine tasting and sat among the most comfortable cushioned couches. The staff was very polite and walked us through their wines. It was a favorite stop among our crowd.

On top of the good wine, Megan was the reason that we became a member.
It's our 3rd year. Service is still top notch. Wine is getting even better.
On our last visit a week ago, Dan was supper attentive, knowledgeable, and fun.

Excellent tasting room and wonderful wine.
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was hopping. Parking was the hard part.
Once we started tasting it was all worth it. Not a bad taste in the bunch.
The highlight was the Sangiovese rose and the flight white blend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Manda S.Bellevue, Nashville, TN682Aug 3, 2024
Amazing wine and service! Our server Kent was the best! Enjoyed learning about the wines and history of the winery.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and did a red wine flight. Most of the wines we're decent and paired it with a wonderful charcuterie board. Our main server was great and very friendly. Only hiccup was another server and/or manager came by and noticed we were not drinking the Merlot. We were honest with her and she came off as shocked / offended. I even offered an olive branch and told her every pallet is different and it may just be us. The fact she was offended and gave us her opinion before walking away was rather rude . If not for the 2nd server I'd give this place 4 stars.

Still delicious wines and good service. Tables outside are no longer fire pits but tables are larger. Reservations recommended for weekend.

Joined their wine club 3 years ago due to outstanding service and have remained members. They have a lot of fun events in addition to very reasonably priced (but still good!) wines. They also have little balsa wood fliers for kids. They have an option for a nut and cheese plate which comes in handy if tasting across several wineries and is always quite tasty. Definitely try them out.
