Little gem you don't want to miss. It's an easy to miss in town as it is located in an old gas station. Inside you will find an array of more than exceptional homemade sweet treat and good ole home cooking. For a little cafe it holds a lot of goodness inside. You will find some of the best made from scratch food and big hearted staff! Don't miss out!

We're from Denver, and we were in town to spend a week on a lake. We got raspberry / cranberry pie here way back in 2014, and it was so SO good. Some of the best pie I've ever had. I love this place, and I love Grand Rapids, MN.

Hidden gem

Two main reasons to go--eat in or take out.
Eat in--soups are very good as is the chili, the half sandwich is large on good bread and fresh lettuce and such, great fillings. If quiche is on the menu, order it! Muffins are very good. And the pie and cake!! Great crust, very nice variety of pie options. The only thing I have not tried is the coffee.
Take out--take home a piece of pie or cake for later. You will not be disappointed.

Super cute, step back in time diner. We're had breakfast, just enough. One issue is they don't have some of the coffee drinks available. Just a nice experience overall.

The espresso machine is broken; noted when we asked upon arrival this morning. Not sure if / when they plan to fix it:(

My mom and I go here for lunch periodically. The food is amazing! Reasonable prices and good food. The best pie I've had in the area. We only order one piece though because they are huge! I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

This is about as incognito as a place can get. Disguised as an old gas station with virtually no signage to help people know what is really inside... surprise! One of the best kept secrets in the northland.
Homemade everything!!! From chicken salad, quiche, soups, chili, egg salad... yum, yum, yum!!
And the PIES deserve a completely separate shout-out. The pie selection is absolutely amazing! Not that they are all available all the time, but there are generally a good 10 or so to choose from. But the list is up there and if you want to order one for your very own, just let them know and within a day or so it will be all yours... no obligation to share. Order with more notice if you want one on a holiday. We always got the coconut cream and banana cream for my grandpa's birthday... and he didn't want to share.
Very few seats here. About 6 booths and a table, but that means you get quick service and fast meals. Their coffee is good and being situated right next to the courthouse they have a nice bit of a lunch crowd on the weekdays. A locally owned business by the sweetest couple ever.
Love this place.

Absolutely the very, very best rhubarb pie ever! No strawberries added, just plain wonderful rhubarb in a divine flaky, homemade lattice crust. So worth the trip up there from the Twin Cities. Only complaint...please be open on Saturday and Sundays!

The food and atmosphere is A++++++++++++++,very nice people. Love to eat here. I love homemade food and theirs is. Especially the desserts.

LOVE this place..our hotel recommended it and our food was great!! The homemade pie is the best. Kinda hard to see the sign..its across from the clark mobil gas station
